Staff is extremely welcoming. The massage chairs are super comfy and settings don't feel like an earthquake or you are getting punched in the back while trying to enjoy a pedicure. I usually get a basic pedicure which is $18. Tip..tip for customers (pun)..Ladies or Men or however you want to be freely labeled. Remove your nail polish and save $5. With today's recession, "do what you gotta do". Toes come out looking cute but sometimes I am not fond of the trim. Guess it depends..but I will take anything for an $18 pedicure. I went there yesterday, after six years of not having my nails done it was a relaxing experience. I made an appointment and as soon as I came inside and told them they quickly got me into a chair. I had nails put on and a sea salt pedi. The pedi was really relaxing. I was a bit uncomfortable since they started working on my hands and I had to twist a bit in order for the lady to work on both hands. My nails look amazing. The best part of this place it's not like other salons that do a quick mani and pedi and send you off. It was alright. The appliances/spa chairs were old and dirty. It also hurt when she was doing my hands and feet. She was pulling on hang nails hard and so it wasn't a very pleasant time. My nails are crooked in shape as well because of poor filing. The nail polish applications weren't even so I'm left with blobby, uneven nails. I didn't even get a close look at my nails until I got home because I was there for 1.45 hours and wanted to leave already. There was left over dried gel polish on a few fingers and messy application next to the cuticles. They were nice people, but I don't think I'll be returning again. read more

Lee the owner is usually nice and interested in her clients coming back I always got my eyebrows waxed there but today I decided to get a gel mani and pedi. Lee totally botched my gel mani and I immediately regretted getting my nails done there. She was fully aware of the bubbles in the nail polish and the already chipping going on in my nails and continued to blame my nails she even removed skin to correct her gel she got on my fingers. She would not let me have my hand back when I told her I wasn't happy and needless to say I won't be going back ever again. When I told her I did not like the nails and showed her she just continued to blame me and laugh she refused to give me a refund and said, "honey all my clients come back". Horrible. I guarantee anyone who knows this place knows for the most part it is 90% empty. Usually you walk in finding 4 people on iPads. I HATE leaving bad reviews but this experience was a little extra. I get my nails done every two weeks at a different nail salon cause I travel, so I've had my fair share of 'just suck it up, it's not so bad' moments but when someone is digging their nails into your cuticle to push your own cuticles back instead of using a tool??.. Nuh-uh. She also used the electronic sanding tool and it cut into my cuticles 5 times. My middle finger and pinky were BLEEDING. At one point she said "This is gonna hurt"- like in a bad Doctor comedy sketch. She did my acrylics dipping into the powder gliding over my bloody cuticle and used the same brush. I kept thinking 'Isn't this totally unsanitary??' I can't wash my hands bc it hurts and they're just starting to scab up. I am literally appalled by my experience at this salon yesterday. I don't even know where to begin. I made an appointment a week in advance to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure for my WEDDING. I was in the salon from 6-7:45. The same lady that did my pedicure did my manicure (while they had another lady in the salon getting her manicure and pedicure done at the same time.) The lady cut me twice one on my ring finger and once on my right big toe. I could tell she panicked and tried to wipe the blood away with a cotton ball, but I continued to bleed. She then proceeded to paint OVER the areas with blood which is completely unsanitary. My manicure was done terribly (I do not think the lady was a manicurist based on the quality of paint job on my nails.) When leaving the salon an hour and 45 min later I brought up to the lady at the front desk how exhausted I was and that I had never been to a salon where they do not do the manicure and pedicure at the same time. She told me to make an appointment next time. I told her that I in fact did have an appointment and after checking her book and realizing she was wrong she then apologized and said "I'm so sorry I take care next time." I went home disappointed in my manicure and my experience but I was so exhausted I went to bed. This morning I took a closer look at my fingers and realized the gel paint job was worse then I thought. There was gel paint on my cuticles and she did not paint all the way up to the side of my nails. I called to let them know the situation and that my hand would be photographed and she told me to come in and she would take a look and fix whatever needed to be fixed. I drove back to the salon after work only to have THE SAME lady that cut me walk up to me and sit me at a manicure station. The lady I spoke with on the phone then looked at me and told me she would fix it. This lady grabbed a drill and started to drill away at the gel that was in my cuticles burning my skin. I stopped her and left in tears. I will never be returning to this salon again and I want to warn other potential customers so they do not have to go through the same experience I did. read more

Came here for a surprise birthday party on Sat. 1/23/16 for a close friend. To say the staff was sweet and accommodating would be an understatement. From the moment we reached the salon to when we left we were, indeed, spoiled. Party of 6, 5 adults 1 child. I came a few days before the event to check out the place and Hannah assured me that we could make an appointment and she would have ample staff available. Everyone required mani and pedi services. We needed massages and facials too and everything was available here. Amina did the facial with aroma therapy and all natural products. My mother in law was very apprehensive getting one with someone she didn't know and isn't easily impressed but she came out feeling refreshed and her skin looked great. Amina was really sweet and very knowledgeable on essential oils and their health benefits, would def go back to her! Candy was our masseuse. She got all my knots out, it was really relaxing. Again, I will def be back! Hannah and the staff were very accomodating. Even suggested that I bring food and drinks to make the party special. They came to my car, brought my stuff in with me, helped me set up, cleared areas in the salon.. I was very impressed by their customer service. I have been looking around for a great local place to get my nails done for a long time now, and based on reviews, decided to give this place a shot. I like to get white tips done because I have a (very bad) tendency to bite my nails! I called in and booked a same-day appointment for my lunch hour. Everything went well, and I was done in less than an hour. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there! My nails were dry and cracking within 24 hours!! I had one come off completely less than 4 days later. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. BUT, Hannah made it all better! I came in (again during lunch!) after calling about it, and she fixed all of the nails for FREE! And they've since lasted through my move and then some. There is definitely a commitment to service here, which I really appreciate, and seems to be hard to find. I can't wait to go back once my life settles down so I can get a pedicure and take advantage of some of their other, very reasonably priced, spa services! Side note: this shop can be a little hard to find, it's in a small strip mall next to the gas station on the corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. The parking all says 20 minutes only, but I've parked in them with no issues for the full duration of my appointment. If you're worried, you can always park further back! read more

My mom really wanted to try gel and I am always skeptical of where I go because I'm hard on my nails and if not done right, they look horrible in a day or two. Yelp lead me to this place and I'm so glad I tried them. I was greeted by La. At first, I have difficulty explaining to her what I wanted but Hannah, the owner, was so nice to translate for me. Tammy did the gel nails for manicure. And La did my pedicure. They both did a great job. Friendly staff, good quality of work, nice environment, working (and clean) massage chairs! A bit TMI, but I think this will help out other clients in the future. La cleaned out around the toe bed, which I prefer, and took out an ingrown nail that I didn't know I had! This is the first time I've ever left a Yelp review and this is how passionate I feel about this place. I've been here three times and every time gets progressively worse. I'm all for giving second chances and not someone who likes to talk bad about businesses unless I feel like I legitimately need to warn people not to spend their money. Where do I start. #1 When they paint your nails they only paint the top...they don't get all the way to the cuticle on the bottom of the nail or paint the sides of your nail. I have really really easy nails to paint...I don't know why they think this is the appropriate way to do nails. #2 Maybe it's because of how cramped it is in there and the lighting sucks.... #3 They put they color on SO thin that it looks horrible and never do a second coat unless you ask. #4 They NEVER do even filing of nails or cutting of nails to an equal length. I've had regular manicures and acrylics and BOTH have been done poorly. I'm a very pleasant customer. I never complain unless something is horrible (such as when #5 this lady SMEARED my entire polish off of a finger with her hand because she was trying to rush). This last time my boyfriend came with me. I did not say anything after how I felt about this place. He got a plain manicure to address his cuticles. The lady got up and said she was done and ran to make a phone call. He was so disgusted with her work that he picked up the tools and started working on his hands himself because he was so disappointed! We went on the deal day so it was only $10 but it wasn't even worth that! She comes back from her call and says "Oh" to everything he pointed out. No apology but she did try again. It seemed to be better after that but I'm just fed up. I'm not a perfectionist and I'm VERY type B but every time I come here I feel like I'm teaching them how to give a manicure. Eyebrows are ok to say something fair. Not great but fine. Even though there is almost NO CUSTOMERS (should have been clue one) they always seem like they hurry through their work to watch tv, gossip, or talk on the phone. So unprofessional. I honestly don't know where to start it was my second time there and this time was the first time I did my nails there. I had gotten two pedicures there. And the pedicures I was satisfied with. It was when I decided to get a manicure gel, set where it officially made me to never go back to the store ever again! I know accidents happen, but the nail tech cut me not once but three times with the drill bit. And I would pull my hand away because she was hurting me. And I was telling her "ouch that hurts". What upset me more than anything was the woman kept saying over an over "don't cut your cuticles before you come, ... That's what happens when you cut your cuticles... Oh yeah sometimes it hurts me too (referring to the drill cutting her) ... " I never felt more stupid and more humiliated like as if I was the one who was in the wrong, for letting her know she was hurting me. She did not care she was hurting me, she made it about her. I never cut my cuticles, I only take off dry skin it's what I had told her and she twisted it as if I cut my cuticles. Which clearly in the pinky picture you can see it's not trimmed, she didn't even bother to push it back. And I thought I was helping out by cutting my nails before I got there. She never soaked my nails, she never pushed the cuticles back and all she did was use the stupid drill on my nails. Which is why she cut me three times. I have never seen anyone only use the drill bit and it wasn't even a cuticle drill bit, it was a sander a cilinder sander , followed but a cone shape sander. Two types of sander drill bits that she took out of a tin box that looks like she never changed the paper on. I felt so uncomfortable and I felt I had to put up with it. And you know what it's fine, I'm never going back there again. These short tips were 55$ ... Don't waste that much money for service that is not worth it. read more

This place has become my new go to nail salon. I gave up my old one due to poor service and pretty much a 3 year old could do a way better job painting my nails. My husband wanted to treat me and found this place. We live 5 minutes away and I never knew this place was here. I went in for a mani/pedi and it was fabulous. I have to say the best place I have been in years. I am even surprised my nail polish has stayed on this long usually after 3 days I need to remove the nail polish due to chipping.
