After multiple emails and Instagram DMs, I made the trip from West Palm Beach to Miami with the understanding that I would be able to meet with the owner, Cynthia. This purchase was meaningful to me, and I had specifically inquired about meeting her. Despite her very active presence on Instagram--where she is shown personally assisting customers and helping coordinate baby outfits--I was told she would not be available. When I arrived, I noticed several women in the back working on sewing and monogramming, but I was eventually approached by Isabella. If she is meant to be representing the brand as a salesperson, there is definite room for improvement. She was unengaged and unhelpful--I had to pull all the information out of her myself. She did not offer additional outfit options or accessories, nor was I shown monogram styles. When I asked if they could email me the monogram for approval, I was told to simply look on Instagram. Later, I received a text message from an unknown number with a photo of the finished product. The layout of the lettering was incorrect, and the monogram included indentations I was never shown or approved. When I raised this concern, the person texting me simply replied that it was already done and could not be changed. No solution or accountability was offered. I also purchased a pillow for $75, only to find on their website that the pillow and blanket are listed together for that same price. This is very misleading. When I brought up all of these concerns and again asked to speak with Cynthia, I was told she would not be calling me back and that I was "interrupting her vacation." Cynthia is a small business owner, and I think it's incredibly rude and unprofessional to tell a paying customer--especially one spending over $300--that they're disturbing her time off. For someone so visible on social media, presenting herself as hands-on and personally involved, I expected more personalized care and customer service. Instead, I was given none of what is shown online. Cynthia portrays on her Instagram that shopping at Caprillina is a whole experience--well, I'm here to tell you, it's not. The best part, there is poor reception in this particular location so you are distraction free as you peruse the aisles for your next decor find. This location has furniture, and there is always a good mix. If you purchase something large, they have a friendly carry out team that can help you load your car - and I realized they offer delivery, too! I always visit this spot for their really good selection of home decor and kitchen essentials but as I go to pay I am always reminded of their phenomenal beauty section, too! Where else can you shop and get pillows, throws and a killer vitamin c serum, too. They've also got clothes and shoes, too. Now I will say - the line here is always CRAZY...BUT thankfully these folks have filled it with wonderful knick knacks as you check out to keep yourself distracted. I only hope you have better will power than me, because inevitably as I wait there about $30 more of items get thrown into my cart. My advice, don't come shopping here when you absolutely need something specific. The laws of Home Goods finds don't work that way. You never find exactly what you're looking for - ie I went in for a desk yesterday and left with tons of other things EXECPT a desk. BUT what you need will always find you. My next piece of advice- when you find something you really like - buy it. You never know if it will be back when you return. Or to a handicap person visiting. -No greeting upon arrival . The owner was with someone, there was another woman arranging the bows, and another one making the bows.
