Been going to this gym for 9 months and the longer I stayed the more dissatisfied I became. The…read morehours of operation aren't great, and there are hidden fees that add up. Had my credit card compromised and they were so unhelpful with the procedure that I ended up wanting to cancel. Cancellation was such an ordeal and found both staff and manager extremely unhelpful. When my card was compromised, they called for payment 3 times in 2 weeks and when they knew I wanted to cancel, they let my balance grow and I ended up being charged for an extra FOUR months. Really dishonest customer service. I signed up with my friend and she was able to cancel much easier and with a waived 30 day notice so they don't equally apply their policy. Don't know if it was a race thing or they're just like this but my (white) friend was treated very differently. Even the way I was talked to as if I was a child/ couldn't understand English was extremely rude and condescending. I left the interactions feeling extremely upset and sad. Compared to other gyms in the area, for price and customer service, you're better off going somewhere else. Been a part of a couple different gyms now and found Fitwells surprisingly unhelpful. Anytime fitness is cheaper and have better hours and Trevor Linden has better facilities and much better service!

Furthermore take a look at the monthly fees...what do you expect for $20 per month???!!! I just joined but my expectations are not more than what $20 a month is worth. It serves its purpose... yes the equipment does seem to be dated but it's much cheaper than purchasing my own equipment and maintaining it myself....and cheaper than most gyms. As far as friendliness of staff....I have found all interaction I have had with staff to be friendly and courteous....if we speak to someone with a friendly and courteous tone we generally get that in turn. (Just a little thought for the people making such negative reviews). All in all I agree some minor changes could be made.... but ....$20 is a small fee to pay to invest in my health.

But, truly, the people make this studio. All of the instructors are very very welcoming and are very open to questions or comments; they set a very calm, accepting, and supportive atmosphere during classes; and most of all, they truly strive for people to have positive experiences and to explore how yoga can help their lives. There is also a definite community feel to the studio. They also offer a wide variety of class types (hatha, power, restorative, yin, prenatal, and also the TRX workout classes). I always love coming to classes here! Also they have GREAT intro deals: 1 free class, then 1 week free, then 1 month or 6 classes for only $40.

Ive tried to go 3 different times twice being 10 minutes before the class and once closer to 7 minutes before start time. All 3 times they have not allowed me to enter.
