He did a great job and, as someone else said, he checked with me, before completion, to ensure placement was the way I wanted. Afterwards, he told me that the white silicone would be clear when it dried and to not let it get wet for two hours. I appreciated that. Not everyone would do that. Afterwards, I asked him about doing other jobs and he offered information of what could be done, that I could do it myself and he offered to search for the materials, himself. Also, as someone else said, he triple-checked his measurement. I plan on using him, again, when necessary.

From start to finish, this is one of the best experiences I have had working with a contractor…read more William came out himself to do the quote. It makes a difference to have the person giving the quote actually be the one doing the work. He talked me through exactly what he would do, what repairs needed to be made before painting, what the outcome would look like and what color matches would work best for the paint vs. stained wood. He gave me an estimated date of when he would start and kept me informed of his exact start time, progress for each day during painting and estimated date of completion. Communication through the process exceeded expectations. William and son painted or stained (as needed) the exterior of my house, including the wood gate, fence, patio, car port overhang and garage. The exterior window trim was peeling badly and needed an extensive amount of repair. William and son took the time and care to bring the 1940's wood trim back to near original condition instead of just painting over the problem. My house also had extensive stucco damage, and they repaired it to match the house exterior as best as could be expected. William explained to me what could be done about the stucco and set realistic expectations of how closely the patch would match the original. What was outstanding about his approach is that he pointed out what may have caused the damage and directed me to have the original root cause fixed or the problem would just happen again. I could not be more pleased with how my house came out. The entire process was painless, the work was as expected and completed by the estimated date. I highly recommend William and son.

He followed up with an emailed quote within a day or two. Price was reasonable, especially when I compared it to a couple of the outrageous quotes that I got. I elected to go with him, and he told me he could start in about 5 days. We agreed on a day and the guys showed up right on time. It was a crew that ranged from 2 - 5 guys, depending on the time of the day. They were well organized, did a good job, protected the floor, and overall did a satisfactory job. There are one or two areas that I need to touch up, but it is not a big deal. I was very impressed that they got it done in 4 days, working normal hours. Was a well oiled machine! House looks beautiful now and would gladly use them again!

Hy Painting is painting our apartment complex, and they have terrible communication skills. Over a…read moreweek ago, they started on our side of the apartment, getting up on our balcony to paint the exterior of the building. They failed to mention to management that they needed balcony access, so I woke up one morning to find to workers covering my stuff sitting out on the balcony. I asked them if I needed to bring in my property to avoid any damages and they said "No." They covered things with plastic, but it wasn't enough and I found that, nearly, everything that I had out there had gotten white paint on it; even the balcony floor, which is brown. I called the owner and he stopped by the next day to inspect, saying that he would have them clean up. Suffice it to say, their "cleaning" left a lot to be desired and didn't remedy the damage done to two chairs, some glass, potted plants, and a few other items. The workers, including the owner, don't speak English well enough to effectively communicate in the effort to prevent something like this that is easily preventable, or resolve something like this properly. They're still working on the apartment, getting paint on things other than the walls. Painting large buildings like apartments isn't an easy job, but taking the proper precautions to prevent damage to people's property is required when you own and operate a business. This should be common sense.
