I went to a few different classes. Yin was one of my favorites. Hot hatha is good as well. They have towels, lockers a changing area. The staff are super nice!! Everyone is trained and professional. I would skip the student session unless you are a beginner. :) thank you. read more

I started coming to GetHotYoga in August of last year. I race 50KM trail ultra-marathons and thought that incorporating yoga would help with injury prevention. What I have noticed is that the day after a 6-hour run or race my legs feel nothing. As in walking down the stairs the day after, my legs feel great! NEW BONNEY LAKE studio as well now!! These Spa like studios offer you everything you need to envelop yourself in your practice. They are clean, quiet, and have a relaxed atmosphere. The instructors offer creative and challenging vinyasa flows, and the fellow practitioners are warm and inviting. They both offer a clean shower (Bonney Lake offers 2) stocked with towels, hair care, soap, hair ties, deodorant, facial wipes. Each class ends with a resting pose enhanced with an ice cold cloth thoughtfully soaked in sweet smelling essential oils. The owner, Nicole, demonstrably runs these studios from her heart, and she is generous and compassionate. It is obvious to see that she loves her studios, and wants to offer the best product to the local yoga community. Maple Valley and Bonney Lake are better communities because of these studios. read more

I did their introductory offer for $20 you get 20 days of unlimited Hot Yoga. The instructors were cordial but not as helpful as I was expecting since they knew it was my first time doing any type of yoga. The studio is very clean and modern. Beautiful studio, great instructors! I started my regular practice here and always felt welcome and comfortable. Everyone got to know my name pretty quickly and always made a point of greeting me through the door. I am a pretty shy person, but always felt in the company of friends there. I especially recommend vinyasa classes with Kenny, Jessie, and Stephanie. I loved Stephanie's themed classes (including Game of Thrones and chakra-themed). The classes have a new focus each time and while sticking to the fundamentals, are inventive and engaging. The room has a big set of windows facing the street that provide a wonderful source of natural light. It contains a wall of mirrors in the front, humidifiers, and lots of blocks, straps, and spray bottles to accommodate every student. The ice towels at the end of class are icing on the cake. It is clear this studio takes great care with every detail, and for that it is truly a special place. read more

I'm very impressed by the variety of classes offered. I have done the yin, barre, sculpt, and vinyasa class. Each instructor brings passion and excitement to their classes. I feel that whatever your level of fitness or newness to yoga you are welcomed with open arms. There are always modifications provided and an emphasis on the personal journey. Just moved here from California and needed a new hot yoga studio. LOVE this place!! It's a great challenging studio but also so relaxing at the same time. They give you ice towels at the end of each practice that smell like essential oils and it's just always a great start to the rest of your day when you're done with practice. I will be coming back here regardless of my 20 minutes drive. If you want a challenging class (in a good way), this is the place for you :) read more

I love this studio! It's impeccably clean and well maintained. The instructors are great and range from hardcore and competitive to more spiritual. All of them are kind and make sure to remind you to listen to your body but also give you helpful tips on how to better your postures. My personal favorite is Jessie but I've taken classes with all of them and can't thing of one negative thing to say. The only drawback and it isn't even a huge deal, is that there is only one shower and no separate change rooms for men and women. I highly recommend this studio and I wouldn't think of switching to anywhere else! read more

We lived in Maple Valley for about a year and a half and I can say without hesitation that Get Hot Yoga was one of the best things about this community. They have a great lineup of classes and a comfortable and inviting practice space, but what really stands out are the teachers. In particular, Kenny, Suzanne and Julia are rare talents! Not only are they amazing yogis, but they are actually good teachers as well (more difficult to find than some may realize). Pros: wonderful ambiance, fantastic teachers/staff, welcoming enviornment, special workshops. Cons: not enough Yin or Hatha, and sometimes the room is too hot. They also dont turn people away, leading to a packed studio where mats are touching. Also, no late night friday or saturday classes, which is too bad. Also, i wish they offered better pricing, or regular temp yoga. But still a great place. read more

I have done hot yoga only a handful of times but at another studio. I decided to give GHY a try since they had more class availability. First impression, clean & cute lobby and studio. Instructor was friendly. After I sweated my eyeballs out the class ended with an infused ice towel!! I had no idea what I was missing out on until now. So I've been to several Yoga studios in the Seattle area since moving here two years ago and Get Hot Yoga is my FAVORITE studio that I've found, hands down, no questions asked. Pros: -Spotless and impeccably clean -Well-decorated, relaxing and welcoming environment from the lobby to the bathroom to the studio room -Pricing is a bit cheaper than the other Yoga Studios (within 10 miles) -Lighting and studio music provided is fabulous and well suited -The instructors are very knowledgeable, I've never felt more welcomed as when walking into this studio, from check-in, through class to leaving, its a very comforting and welcoming group of people -The ice towels, oh my goodness. I've only been to one other studio that has the ice towels and let me tell you--GAME CHANGER. After a really tough class, there is nothing more refreshing and recharging then the ice towel. -Studio room is very intimate, there's nowhere you can't see yourself in the mirror and watch your poses/postures -Instructors continually walk around and provide individual one-on-one instruction -Heat is via steam, the room, while hot, is never stifling. i've been to one too many infrared studios where I feel like I'm going to pass out because of the heat, at the beginning of class. Steam heat/fans are the way to go! -Plenty of props (straps and blocks) available for anyone who wants one -Instructors are friendly, approachable and answer individual questions and follow-up. I asked Eunice a question at the end of one class, the next time I saw her, she followed up and asked how I was doing. This is one of three different instructors who followed up with questions/comments I had -This feels like a serious yoga studio, participants range in experience levels, but everyone is there for a similar purpose/focus -The instructors knowledge is very high, these instructors live and breathe a yoga lifestyle, some of the other studios in the area have felt like yoga-factories: pushing people in and pumping them out. This is all about the experience, being where you are and the instructors guiding you to your next level. -For a group class, most classes feel like a semi-private lesson!! -I haven't had one class (I have taken 15+ classes between Jan-March 2013) that I've been dissatisfied with, I can't say that about any of the other 4 studios I've been at nearby. -Really comfortable and non-threatening environment to meet people socially, the instructors promote a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. I've met and made several friends at class! -Did I mention the Ice towels? :-) Cons: -One smaller room--get there early for the after-work classes -Small selection of snacks/beverages and merchandise to purchase before/after class; prices are decent for what they have -Location, this studio is right off of 516, so there's quite a few cars/trucks every minute. I've gone to a variety of classes at different points in the day and the only time it was distracting was during 'rush hour' (4:45-6:15PM) -Lobby area is a bit tight after a class, especially during winter when everyone's piling on coats -Would love if they offered more regular workshops--I know there's an Intro to Vinyasa right now, more of these please!!!! Again, I love this studio and am excited to renew my class punch card to a monthly membership--it's worth every penny! read more

This new yoga studio opened in late 2010. They offer traditional 90 minute hatha classes, 60 min hatha classes, 60 min vinyasa classes, and 60 min "wild card" classes (where the instructor changes things up.) Here's a quick run down after a 90 min hatha class Pros: - Room was heated perfectly, not too hot/humid - Interiors of front desk, restroom, practice room is very spa-like. Lots of dark, reclaimed wood, good use of natural light, earthy paint colors - just gorgeous! - I had a great instructor, she had a wonderful balance of instructing/counting/critiquing. - At the end of class you get a FROZEN WASH CLOTH!!!!! Good lord, that was amazing! Even if you're a hard-core bikram person, you can't deny how much you'd love an ice cold towel. - Mats & towels available to buy/rent. Cons: - The instructor turned on music during the floor series. I found this VERY distracting and unnecessary. The music was played from an ipod and I happen to be right next to it. I was surprised as I've never been in a bikram class where music is played. I tried to keep an open mind and enjoy it but overall, I just did not like it. This is why I could not give 5 stars. - The studio's windows face a very busy road (Kent-Kangly/SE 272nd St) so noisy cars and pedestrians are passing by often. Many would consider this distracting but I didn't seem to mind. - There are no "Rules" posted anywhere. Because hot yoga places are so popular and there are so many "newbies" I find a simple "rules" list helpful. Most helpful is to post the rule about "No talking inside of practice room." I think Get Hot Yoga would benefit from this. Before class, two women (who clearly had been practicing for some time) carried on a casual 5 min long conversation. it was so obnoxious that another person just sat, staring at them. I was about to tell them to shut up before the instructor walked in and started class. I find this kind of bad manners is almost never addressed unless a "rules" sheet is posted in common areas. These women weren't trying to be rude, they just didn't know any better. A rules sheet would solve this problem. Overall, I will visit this place again but I will forgo signing up for a membership until I try the other vinyasa and wild card classes. I would recommend trying it out. It really is a beautiful studio! read more

I started classes here in the beginning of December. I am 60 years old, was on antidepressants, and seeing a chiropractor every two weeks for neck and spine adjustments. Now, in August, after attending classes two or three times a week, I am off antidepressants, haven't been to the chiropractor since February and feel wonderful. My balance has improved tremendously as has my flexibility. It is so true that you are only as old as your spine is flexible. I highly recommend Hot Yoga classes at Maple Valley facility. The instructors are all great and encourage everyone at whatever level they are at. The facility is always clean and there's always a smile to greet everyone coming in the door. Everyone works at their own pace so there is no need to "match" what others are doing. Get down there today and try out the classes - at $20 for 20 unlimited days, it's a great deal.
