They were very efficient and very fast but the woman I spoke with prior to the move ensured me there would be 4-5 wardrobe boxes for all of my hanging clothes, they only brought one. I had to make 3 more trips in my personal car to pick up the rest of my clothes which defeats the purpose of hiring movers. I messaged the woman back on Yelp about this and she left me on read with no offers of a solution for over a year. About a year later I decide to give them another chance and bring up the issue with the wardrobe boxes before. She offers a $50 discount and this time I arrange for 3 people to come and move me from a first floor apartment to a single story home. The most inefficient move I have ever experienced, they took longer to move than when I lived on the third floor and the guys had to wait for the elevator. They moved at a glacial pace and I ended up paying for 3 guys for the same amount of time as it took the first time I moved. On top of all of this they didn't wear gloves or wash their hands so my light furniture has black handprints on it from the moving dust on their hands. One of the guys dragged a piece of furniture and broke off a leg and I watched him use a piece of plastic to wedge the leg back in. Very unprofessional movers in my opinion, only one guy was taking his job seriously and trying to get me moved quickly the other two just lingered around waiting for him to move and package all my things. I didn't see a point in reaching out about the damage or the handprints as the customer service had already proved once your move is complete they could not care less about you. I'm happy I'm in a home I purchased so I never have to experience these movers again.

I randomly met Lenar when he came to my house to help package up equipment on behalf of a former employer. He was early, quick, and kind that day. Rocco and Zeus showed up early, after having called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They are very professional, efficient, easy to work with, and personable. They got my 1bd apt loaded on their truck in about an hour. We met at the house in Jax and they got me unloaded, with everything in the right place, again, in about an hour. The pricing is fair, TRANSPARENT (no hidden fees or extra add on charges at all), and well worth every single dollar. I've only had excellent experiences with the teams that do the heavy lifting, and the office staff is great. I highly recommend this moving company. Did not get anyone local, I ended up talking with a phone room in another country. The guy started asking all about exactly what I wanted moved. I told him I wanted the in home estimate. He said the owner would have to approve that, and again tried to get all the info over the phone. This was all way too shady for me. I am looking elsewhere for my moving needs.

In July 2025 I contracted Allied Van Lines to move my inventory of professionally packed (fragile)…read moreart CLEARLY MARKED 'EXTREMELY FRAGILE ' and other personal belongings. The sales rep from Coleman Moving/Allied assured me that there would be no issues following my handling instructions. The day of the move the movers started grabbing boxes and tossing/piling them every which way into huge cardboard bins on wheels, disregarding the FRAGILE signs. Meanwhile the truck was being packed like sardines. Boxes and furniture were being shoved into each other and stacked right up to the roof of the truck. As a result, chunks of my armoire were broken off on two sides and badly scraped up, a table was cracked, sculptural work that was generously bubble-wrapped and heading for a gallery was completely broken and destroyed, pictures in double cardboard packaging were cracked and irreplaceable family heirlooms were damaged beyond repair. It was heartbreaking. And totally preventable. Today, after waiting 3 months since filing a claim, they basically denied everything because they didn't pack the boxes. I have pictures of boxes that were unscathed before they were loaded and then crushed when they were jammed into the truck. I have pictures of the wood furniture outside the truck with no damage BEFORE it went in the truck. I also have photos of how the truck was packed/stuffed. I have documentation of everything I claimed, including the condition of one-of-a-kind art pieces before they were handled by Allied. Further, the sales rep from Coleman should never have sold me insurance knowing it is their practice to deny liability because boxes were 'packed by owner". That sounds like FRAUD to take money knowing they would deny the claim for that reason. This is such a clear case of mishandling on the part of the movers and then denying any responsibility. I would not recommend this company or the allied moving network.

Very little about my experience with Coleman (and therefore, Allied Van Lines) was positive. The…read moresalesman, Keith, was all sunshine and flowers, but the reality was anything but! The packers did a good job....but then the wheels fell off the bus. The loading crew was four hours late. When they finally arrived, they had exchanged the large truck for a smaller one. The driver, Nick, was incredibly rude and unprofessional, and when I questioned why they brought a smaller truck and were four hours late, he said I was rude and stomped off. I followed him outside and he drove away!!! I called the my salesman and the manager. She said they would send another crew. They arrived 90 minutes later, still with the smaller truck. They did not wrap any of my outdoor furniture and stacked the furniture without pads because they had to get all of it into the smaller truck. The returned to the warehouse where the furniture was offloaded and sat for another 10 days. In the end, almost every piece of $16K worth of outdoor furniture was scratched or gouged. Two painted end tables had gouges and paint scratched off. A game table received scratches and chips. Almost every piece of furniture (my move was mostly boxes) was damaged in some way. This is just part of the story. I wish I had seen these reviews before I hired this company. DO NOT USE COLEMAN!!!
