I wrote a review in 2020 for this business and wanted to write another since the salon ownership changed hands. I am supper-happy with the keratin treatment I got with KellyAnn in May, 2024. I wish I had taken a 'before' photo, but I forgot. My coarse, dry, brittle hair was incredibly improved after KellyAnn's process and oddly enough, during the first couple of days, while my hair was curing with the keratin mixture, it just looked as though it had been flat-ironed. The first days of the process can be awkward, but no one noticed anything other than that my hair suddenly looked straight and healthy. KellyAnn was a pleasure to talk to and the cut I got after the keratin treatment was just was I asked for. The new owners have redecorated and the flooring, walls, and lights are very attractive. Went here to cut my split ends. It was very quick and she was helpful in explaining to me that if i want to keep my long hair she can try to cut as less as possible. However, I thought it was expensive for such a quick cut lol. I was lucky in that when I went there was no one else. But I felt rushed. Not sure if I will return. read more

This place is great! It's always nerve wracking going to a new place and entrusting someone you just met with your hair. Kaly was absolutely wonderful. I went in for a balayage and when I came in she told me what she'd be doing before she got started. I was so happy with how my hair turned out! Having to dye my hair before starting on the balayage, I was there for 3-3.5 hours. The other stylists were so great and brought me tea and a cookie to curb my hunger. The vibe of the salon is very cute. Lots of plants and friendly stylists. You have to call to make an appointment. As I was getting my hair done, so many different clients came in - old, young, kinds, men, women with a variety of requests. They also do threading and a number of other services! Worst hair cut place. Have to wait one hour and still no hair cut. 3 other people came in, waited and saw how slow the stylists were, and then left. The stylists here are very slow. Some sit there and just rest. I waited and waited. Another customer came in, and the stylist took the other customer first because "they had an appointment". Then they slowly take their time slowly cut the other customers hair. No rush. Now I sit and wait for an hour, for a simple men's haircut that takes 10min to cut. Never come to this place. read more

Updated rating: June 29th 2020! Years back I used to come here to get my fade and when they changed ownership and employees left, I tried to find another hair salon or barber shop! It's always hard to find a consistent person to cut your hair the way you want it and for them to remember how you like it! Due to covid19, so many salons and barber shops have been closed! I did try a barber shop downtown and it was pretty good but I feel it could have been better! So I decided to give get a cut another shot! I called and they picked up and I made an appointment in the next 10 Minutes! When I walked in Rhadika was the one who booked my appointment and she cut my hair! She is very very nice and professional and overall gave me a good skin fade with finger length on top! She did a good job blending in the fade which can be very hard! She took her time and I could tell she wanted to do a good job! I was looking for a quick hair-cut after dropping a friend off at the airport and Yelp led me to Get A Cut. I am from SoCal and typically pay around $20+tip. The custom cut here was under $15, so its definitely affordable! Although I was a bit hesitant at first, the lady who did my hair was very friendly and I was satisfied with the results of my Low Fade Combover with a hard part. This is certainly not a luxury salon. With Men's cuts between $10/15, it is affordable. The chairs aren't the highest of quality with somewhat flimsy footrests and my shoes kept hitting the base of the chair as she turned me around. Despite the small peeves, the staff was friendly, quality of the haircut was solid, and the experience was positive overall. Kelly is our go-to when we lived in Natomas. We live in Placer county now and still make the trip to see her for haircuts. She is always very patient and quick with my now two-year old toddlers. Nice haircut even if you have a squiggly toddler, but really great haircut if your kid can sit still :) It is best to call and make an appointment to make sure that your slot is secured in case she gets lots of walk-ins, which happens often. read more

I asked for a long A-line cut and I got this weird zig-zag cut. I think the dude that cut my hair is named Philip. I've never had a haircut this bad in my life. I showed him some photos before he cut my hair, told him I wanted a long bob, and asked if he could do it. He said he could and I trusted him... like a fool. He was really slow and I think he dropped his shears a few times. By the time I noticed the damage, it was too late... he cut the front too short and I didn't see the back until my friend took a picture of it for me. I went back to complain and asked for a refund. This girl with glasses (I forgot to ask for her name) helped me and handled the situation very professionally. I was planning on just going elsewhere to get my hair fixed, but she insisted that she could fix my hair for me, so I let her. There was only so much she could do though since that dude already cut my hair too short, but I'm impressed that she was able to make my hair look somewhat decent. She also told me to come back when it grows out a bit so she can actually give me the cut I originally wanted. I'm not sure if I will come back yet, but she's the only reason this review is getting any stars. Anyways - don't let this Philip guy touch your hair, he doesn't know what he's doing. He should've told me he's no good at A-line cuts from the beginning. Especially since I asked if he could do it. Very unprofessional... And honestly, I wouldn't have been offended if he realized mid-haircut that this is too hard for him and gave the job to someone else. Regardless of the price raise they still offer a great haircut for men at a very reasonable price, with rewards / discounts for returning customers. It baffles me how this place has four stars. I like to give new places a chance and was looking for a salon around me to try. I walked in hoping for a decent haircut considering this place had so many good reviews. I had around 15 inch hair and was looking to cut it short. I had asked for shoulder length, even a bit longer than that. Immediately, she was rushing and messed up, so she ended up going shorter to fix it. She hacked my hair off in such a rush I'm sure she didn't even consider the length. It was obvious she didn't know what she was doing. I left angry and upset with this haircut, not even shoulder length. It was uneven and so short I wanted to cry. Wouldn't come here again. First, and foremost the staff is extremely friendly and is always happy to see you. Cheli will have you crackin' up, and Radhika will make sure your hair is perfectly cut while tailoring it to your needs. She actually really helped me out by making me look good when I had a job interview. The price is fair, and pretty much standard for a fade. I don't think they can go any cheaper. Some places will usually charge you $20, this place charges you half of that on a Men's fade. But more than anything, it's than anything it's the welcoming customer service. She was amazing. Since it wasn't busy, she was able to take me in right away. She asked me what I needed and how I wanted my hair to be and length. Kelly did everything I asked for. I told them we had to have it right away, tight schedule, and are they sure they could cut my daughter's hair as soon as we got there. They said yes, definitely.
