I've switched from Great Clips to here. They consistently give me exactly what I ask for, in a timely, manner, for a good price. What more could I ask? read more

This is a great place to get a haircut. I have been going to Top Salon for years and I highly recommend for men.

Worst hair cut ever Do NOT go there. Saw cockroaches crawling in the bathroom. How is it possible that a hair cut place with no food has cockroaches? It is not a restaurant so it shouldn't have any food to attract cockroaches. Who knows why. For the hair cut, I asked for a simple cut. "cutter size 5 on top, size 1 on the side, and leave the front empty" Should be simple, right? The lady who worked there said she understood, and then PROCEEDED TO SHAVE MY ENTIRE HEAD BALD. lol clearly she did not understand, she just said she did. "Too late now, next time cut better" lol ok, no more next time. No thank you. "You speak Chinese? Next time just tell me in Chinese how to cut." Well if you are a Chinese hair professional you should be an expert in cutting chinese hairstyle? You should know a basic asian cut without shaving someone's head? When I went in I did not have a bald head, I had a basic chinese head hair style. Maybe just follow that as an example and just make a shorter version???? Also, if I don't speak Chinese, does that mean it is ok for you to shave my head????? It's fine if you don't speak English that well, it's not a problem. But if you don't understand something clearly, maybe ASK and CONFIRM before you CUT? No one will be annoyed that you ask questions before cutting, but if you cut without a clear understanding of what the client is asking for, then it is IMPOSSIBLE to reverse the cut. You should know that, you cut hair everyday!! The only positive is that their price is below average. Obviously they have to lower their price or else no one would go. Worst hair place ever. read more

Don't waste your time and money here. They flat out do not know how to cut hair, got one of the worst haircuts ever. Totally different from how I instructed them to cut it. I don't know how they are still in business, go elsewhere if you want a good haircut. read more

Been to top cuts about 5 times and I am very pleased with my fades! It is though to find a reliable place that can do a skin fade! I've tried many places in Natomas and I've been disappointed many times! I was a little nervous to try this salon but I've been very happy! Natalie is awesome! She does a great skin fade and she is very detail oriented! She takes her time when she does my fade! She also does a line up in my front and I've been happy every time! Price is decent... $11 for a skin fade is good! If you decide to come, please ask for Natalie! She's great and you won't be disappointed! They also do waxing for eye brows and they accept credit cards as well! Give it a try! read more

Quick and well done. They can do everyone's hair, men-women-any style-any race. I can get my whole family a top notch cut for an excellent price and very time conscious. read more

I showed how much I want my haircut. But they didn't paid attention, and in a hurry to cut...cut...so she can help the next customers. My worst haircut ever!! I'd rather pay $45 for more skilled hairstylist than be sorry. read more

no wetting or tying up hair. just starts cutting without asking what you want then says its your fault you didnt tell them like they didnt cut off 3/4 of my length in the first 10 seconds of the haircut. all the seats were empty and she was rushing like her life depended on it. all in all, they're just gonna give you the haircut they want, not what you want read more

1st time in the shop and they got my haircut the way I want it..medium skin fade with hard part...other barbers end up rounding the haircut or going too high, they gave me what I asked for. Place is a barbershop/salon and being in the military I get my haircut every week and a half and this place makes it affordable for my budget!!! Thanks top cuts read more

Just recently move back Natomas! Found this golden Gem. I come to Asian Hair Salons because I hate waiting at Barber Shops. So for me a quick fade is what I come for. 2 on the top, zero on the bottom. Lisa was so friendly, place was clean. Bathroom was clean! Located in a Nice Area. Price went up to 11 bucks they said. But thats still really cheap. I'm very happy with what Lisa did. Very Clean Cut Fade. Thanks Lisa, I'll be coming in again. You guys have a new Loyal Customer. read more

$12 haircut... cant beat that! Most definitely the best deal I have EVER got for a trim! When they lady told me the price I thought about the work that was done and stood there confused on how much to tip. (Also... I'm use to paying $50-$65 for the same cut at other places.) There is no doubt in my mind I will return to this place for my next cut and highlights. So I was a little hesitant to try this place only because its a small shop closer to the residential part of Natomas and I've been going to the same person in Alameda for years. Now that I'm in Sacramento, Alameda is a bit far and can get a little pricy after the cut, gas and toll. Anyway, I walked in and saw that this place charges $8-$12 for men, women and children cuts. (Another reason I was a little hesitant to get a trim hair... are they gonna do a good job for that price?) I also noticed on the check in list for that day were mostly male names but I figured guys don't care as much as girls since their hair is easier to cut and for $8 why not? None the less I was in desperate need of a cut that day andt his place is literally 2 minutes from home and they spoke Chinese, maybe they can cut Asian hair well... So the lady tells me I'm next and I plop myself in the hot seat. I tell the hair dresser I want to trim 2.5 inches, layer the back, side and bangs and that's it! She got to work. Asked me if it was okay to do this, that... whatever. 15 minutes later... tada she was done! She cut my hair just they way I wanted and used a similar technique to the other person that I use to see. I was very satisfied with my cut and even happier when I heard the price. YESSS!!! I finally found someone in Sac to cut my hair!!! I'll be back in a few months for another cut and highlights! Ohhhhh... and the best part was, I didn't have to sit through hairdresser gossip or worry about her prying into my personal life. =) read more

I have finally found my "go to" spot for awesome haircuts. Since I'm a man, I can only speak to "men's haircuts," but I can honestly say, Susan is so far the BEST. Why do I say she's the best? Because she is consistent. I get my hair cut once a week. I usually do a skin fade with a trim on top. Lately I've been asking her tho give me a slight Fo-hawk on top, with a skin fade. She knows just how to do it and my hair is not easy to cut. I have a less than round head, and a few cow-licks. lol. Props to Susan for doing such a great job each and every time I've been there. I've been a faithful customer now for a solid 6 - 7 months. She's off on Thursdays, but she's there all the rest of the week, working hard. The haircuts are only $9. I Highly recommend Susan :) read more

$11 for a haircut? I was very surprised at the price, and the haircut was very good, my usual barber charges more than double that without a tip. I forgot the name of the barber I had, but I got a 1/2 taper into a fade and it was a very good haircut. The haircut was very quick too, maybe less than 15 minutes. read more

We went here for haircuts for our two girls. The rates were very reasonable. The service was very good and wait time practically nothing, especially impressive for a Saturday morning. Nothing much else to say except I will be back again. read more

Very quick and precise hair cut. Paid $11. Will come again regularly. Walk in on Sunday mornings are fast.

Great prices and good haircuts! Go to Natalie she does a great job! Always available and never a long wait.

I have been getting my hair cut by Susan for a few months now and I don't think I'll go anywhere else. Susan is REALLY good at cutting men's hair. I've been thru several hair stylists/barbers and they've all been very inconsistent. I don't have the easiest hair to cut due to the shape of my head and a few cowlicks, but Susan does great! I can always tell if my hair was cut right when I get home and put gel in it. Susan gets it right every time. And she's very friendly too :) In case you are wondering, I usually have her give me a skin fade and scissor trim the top. read more

I stopped in for a haircut, which was very overdue. I haven't had a regular place for getting my hair cut for several years because I haven't been very impressed with any of the shops I've been to. I have to say, this is the first haircut I have gotten in a long time where the stylist actually cut my hair the way I asked her to. Most of the inexpensive places you can just drop into just cut my hair like they only know one way to do it. My requests don't seem to be heard and the results are always too short. The gal who cut my hair at Top cuts really listened to what I wanted, and followed through! I now have a new "regular" haircut place. read more

Brought my toddler here after a bad experience at the kids place down the street. They did a great job. Fast, cheap, and the cut looks better then any he has gotten from the place that specializes in kids cuts. We will definitely be going back! read more

It is an awkward environment and my hair as well as my sister's came out quite choppy. I do not recommend it here at all.

So I wanted to get a quick trim and didn't want to drive too far from home. I encountered this salon close to home. Warning: if you want your hair to look like crap then this is your salon. My experience here was horrible. Ladies, this is not a place you should come. I can't speak for the men. This little Asian girl totally ruined my A line. Who uses a trimmer to add layers??? read more

I used to come here often for my haircut from Woodland, I like this salon a lot , but lately the workers have changed. I feel like they aren't experienced at all and I regret getting my haircut here today. I specifically asked the lady to leave my bangs, but she cut both sides of my bangs and it was too short. It looks ridiculous. My nephew also came here a few days ago and he was not satisfied what so ever. Everyone asked my nephew where he got his haircut because it looked so funny. His hair looks like a bowl and it looks like an awful hairdo. They used to have greatly experienced workers, but they changed their workers to lousy, un-experienced workers. I will never come here again for my haircut and I'm really upset over my hair. I cant even look in the mirror without saying "ew" to myself. read more

Went here for the first time and had the shorter Asian lady cut my hair. She was very nice and did exactly what I asked for. If I'm ever in the area and need a hair cut, I'll definitely check this place out again! read more

You can't beat the price here. I came from going to great clips for about a year and I wanted to try some place else because i just wasnt happy with their cuts. The woman who helped me did a surprisingly good job on tapering my sides and back. Her blending was very good, and she took her time (unlike some 'previous' places who rush and do mediocre jobs). Overall she was patient and nice, and for 9 bucks i cant complain considering the competition. read more

Specifically said, "Don't go short, I like my current length, just need a little trim." Lady apparently didn't understand me and hit me with a near buzz cut. Then had the nerve to say, "but that's what you said." She may have been newer, but bad experience. read more

I take both of my sons here for their haircuts, ages 3 and 14 months. There is practically no wait time and the ladies are so great with them. They talk them through it and the boys never cry. I've had several different employees and they are all fantastic. The boys hair turns out great every time. We're lucky to have a place so close to home. read more

This place was a hit or miss for me, but I've realized that SUSAN is the only person there I would let cut my son's hair. I've been taking my son there since he was about 2 or 3 years old and she still cuts his hair. He will be 9 in a couple of months. Susan always knows what we want and she is so quick and does a really good job too. read more

After a bad experience at a local kids' haircut place, we brought our toddler here for his 2nd cut. Also got my husband's hair cut and they both turned out great! The man was extremely patient with our little guy even when he started to cry and wiggle. I also really appreciated that he took his time to ease my kiddo into things, even letting him see and touch the clippers before he used them. The price was very reasonable as well. Needless to say we will be going back for sure! read more

Just had a great experience at Top Cuts. I got the regular (basic) men's haircut and it looks great. Waited maybe 5 minutes, and was gone in 20. For $10 plus tip, I've found my new "go-to". Thanks! read more

An Asian lady WITH NO LICENSE gave me a haircut and colored my hair. She did a HORRIBLE job! I will never ever recommend them to anyone! When she was coloring my hair she colored my forehead (1 in.) and my cheeks from both sides! Instead of cleaning that she told me she was done and now we wait for 30 minutes. She was in a hurry to color a male friend's hair and then she comes back after 10 minutes and starts coloring my hair again! When I asked her that she had said she was done about 10 minutes ago she replied that this is just extra color! I was mad but didn't want to be rude and held my tongue. When I asked her to remove the color from my face she told me to go home and wash my face 4times and it'll come off! You kidding me?! She finally used something and removed some of it but i still had dark smudges. I had asked her to give me long layers since i have thick hair and she literally chopped about 1/2 an inch from the bottom and said this is long layers! I know how long layers look. To top it off SHE DIDN'T HAVE A LICENSE! I questioned her afterward about this. Wish i had looked for her license before starting all this. If you love your hair DO NOT GO THERE!!! I have to give one star for existing and fooling people. read more
