PRIOR, to the shop performing the oil change they showed me the leak had been there for quite some time based on it's condition. Could not have asked for a better experience, this is how buying a car should be. The employees, Christopher and Devin are a dream to work with, nobody will pressure you into buying or try to upsell you, after my first visit I was comfortable enough to go in alone to finalize the deal. Chris was super personable and responsive, he had all the info ready for me when I arrived. Devin was willing to compromise with me on my trade-in value and worked with me until we got the monthly price I was hoping for. He didn't even flinch or try to convince me otherwise when I said no thank you to the warranty, you wont find that often. Went with my sister to look at a car. Found it to be in need of an alignment as well as had mismatched tires. On top of that, one of the tires had a chunk missing out of the sidewall down to the belts. Not only is this a safety issue, this would fail inspection. I brought this up to the salesman who told me it had already been serviced, but would be looked at again. After hearing nothing we came back in and were told that the car hadn't actually been serviced and that they'd send it through service. Then my sister gets a phone call that there's nothing wrong with the tires and no tires will be replaced. My sister gets her deposit refunded because the car isn't safe. Two weeks later I get a phone call asking what prevented the sale from going through and I explain the tire situation. The lady on the phone tells me she'll look into it and call me back by noon the next day. Never got the promised phone call. All in all, shoddy car, unreliable service, and not a lot of clear communication. read more

My son bought his first car here, he was super happy about having a car, especially during the pandemic so that he can get to and from work without me having to take his brothers out. 3 weeks later the brakes were screeching, one of the rear windows never opened, and the car would not move once you turned the vehicle on. He called the owner who stated we should tow it there and he would have his people take a look. I paid for the tow, cause the owner claimed it was on us to pay it. Then when we call to find out we were told that we needed to pay an extra 500 dollars to repair the clip on the transmission because it was my sons fault it broke. They do not honor their warranty. And I was recently told by my usual mechanic who just got back from his trip, that the Clip issue is very common to happen on a Honda Civic. And that it does not cost that much to fix or for parts. So my child was sold a faulty vehicle from the beginning! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I am not taking any further actions because of my son. read more

Update 8.16.22 One of the worst experiences I have had in purchasing a vehicle. The same day of my purchase I parked my vehicle and later turned it on to make a pick up dinner when the car began malfunctioning. There were multiple lights on the car, I contacted the dealership and was told to bring the car back (1 and 40 min drive + a over two hour wait + the drive back all with my newborn and 10 year old). I brought the car back and was told they put in a cheap spark plug, they would order a better brand and come back again the next day to fix the car, which I did. Yesterday the car broke down on me for the second time and in order for them to help fix it I have to be without a vehicle and tow it. The tow cost $450, the outdoor cost on the vehicle purchase was $27806.88. I have lost money on the trips back and forth it's the kids and am taking cabs to appointments until I can come up with the 450 to bring the car back. If I could cancel the purchase I would in a heartbeat. Please be careful with making such an expensive purchase. Posted 8.10.22 Chris and Devin were a great help. The staff at Gesner Auto are honest, patient and professional: qualitites that are very rare to come by when dealing with used car sales! My husband and I appreciated the obvious dedication that staff has to the cars sold and clients. VERY responsive and kind people!! I was taken aback by the care and attention to detail devoted to the car my husband and I were looking at. The car was in very good shape for a 2013, and all major issues were addressed by Gesner prior to listing for sale, which again is a rarity! You can be confident what you are getting is quality. I suggest using Gesner Auto, as you can be confident you are in honest-hard working hands. We subsequently switched to the Service Department after being a loyal customer at a different auto service in the city for over 10 years. So I needed to make a review about my experience with Gesner Auto Sales. Wow what a great experience. Andy the sales rep was such a professional. Going into a sales experience already knowing you want a car it gets annoying when you have a pushy salesman and Andy was the opposite of that. Extremely understanding and patient with me. He answered all of my excessive questions and never once complained or seemed frustrated. And even when I became indecisive he never pushed me towards his best interests and reminded me that it was ultimately up to me and should do what makes me happy. I highly recommend this place for a car purchase. Its also a family business and Andy's wife works with him in tandem. I just felt comfortable with the sale where as with other used places you feel a bit scammed. read more

It's a shame, I first had a wonderful experience. I gave a 5 star review initially, but soon after problems arose. I had Gesner do the registration and state inspection included in the price with all the doc fees etc. A week later I realized they never did the inspection, they never communicated that to me, so after my registration came in the mail, I gave them a call. They stated "oh we'll send you a check for $35, go get it done yourself"... sure no problem. Life happens. So I go to get my state inspection and my car immediately fails... I was in disbelief at this point. I'm beyond frustrated they sold me a car that was illegal to drive in the first place. Now I have to waste my time and money going back to have it all fixed. As a side note, I was made to believe this car was in perfect working order, spending over $24,000 for this car. Come to find out, it wasn't aligned, and was having jerky engine movements, had illegal tint on the windows, and the back tires were in the yellow, that need to be replaced soon. I took it to a Hyundai dealer to have it properly looked at to find it needs over $1000 in repairs. I felt like I was mislead and lied too. This business did nothing to compensate me for misleading me, and wasting over 6 hours of my time. Of course I took it back for them to fix all the issues, but all the extra money I had to spend to get this all sorted. I would NEVER recommend them. They are not a good business to be trusted. They don't care about their customers at all. For reference. When I went to a legit hyundai dealership, their diagnostic fee starts at $140, which I was fine with. When I told the lady my whole story, she only charged me 75$, half the cost to look at the car and tell me everything that was wrong. This, from a dealership I have never been too, never given any money too, treated me with kindness, and respect. The customer service from Hyundai was over the top, unfortunately for Gesner, they were not only below the bare minimum, they were horrible! They were a disappointment and I hope no one else had to go through what I did. read more

Bought a vehicle from this dealership recently, Both head light assembly were full of water. Vehicle needed a jump, two hours after it was purchased. The next day under 24 hours, went for inspection Sticker, failed rejected sticker. Both upper & lower ball joints needed to be replaced, play in both Front tires. Payed $2900.00 in cash for this vehicle. Went back to salesman Andy, who gave me grief, then refund my 2900, meantime, was out hundreds of dollars, on title, sales tax, repairs, and gas. After we agreed on $100 to repay for title to now the dealerships vehicle and registration fees, l was short changed $15. I was told, by Andy that he did not have the cash in him, after confirmation of the $100, the day before. Andy the salesman, told me " I was stressing him out". Stay away, do yourself a favor. Being a new car dealership, one would have to wonder, how long can they last, being dishonest to their their customers, and costing the time & money! read more
