Good: -Hired a 4 man crew for a move from a 3 story walk up. -The appointment to view the belongings for a quote was fairly quick but very accurate. -They have extra garment boxes, and tape if needed -I was quoted 4 hour move plus 1 hour travel time, and the job was done with time to spare. -They were efficient and did their thing. -They helped move furniture out of one spot and into another no problem. Please note: -I left 2 voice mails asking about a box that I could not find, I found the box but The Moving Doctor still have not returned my call...weird. -Not bad, but beware if they use their supplies (extra boxes, tape, wrapping for night stands) you get charged for the materials used on top of the original quote. -Don't waste your time, make sure you can tell the movers where boxes should go, or write it on the your box.

I rented online and that same night a few hours later I had a storage code and a lock with keys waiting for me when I went to put stuff in the unit. It's very easy to get in, a little confusing to find my unit but that's just because I'm daft at these things until I go to a place over and over and over again. After learning how there are fuel surcharges, costs for tape, additional travel time and estimates that were moving targets - I decided to use A&J because Joe promised to honor his quote. The A&J Team arrived on time, blanketed and taped all furniture and valuables properly, loaded the truck for proper peak to avoid shifting and damage, and were on the road quickly. The move-in at the destination was less than ideal for A&J -there was an unforeseen issue (two trucks and one loading dock). As the consummate professionals this team are, they worked with the other movers to broker an arrangement, while I talked with the office to get the mover's agreement approved. In the end they brough the job in about 40 minutes over the estimate - which was far better than I had expected after learning of the delay. They are a terrific moving company with a great philosophy of service. Joe is true to his word on quotes and service. I did not pay for matching t-shirts and khakis and unfulfilled promises, and was fortunate to get instead a team with more than 50+ years of moving experience and it showed.
