They were very friendly explained the price and made it easy for me. He even had guys to help me unload it from my old pickup. I am really appreciative there are americans still out there willing to help someone like me whos no longer capable of lifting all the scrap copper and steel even though he said he doesnt usually want the steel he was willing to help me. Had a ton of paper from my business , Mostly records on copy paper…read more I had about 30 big milk crates filled with paper. I called around and no one would take it and the town said to leave a little out at a time would of taken 5 years to get rid of it all. I found Grenelefe Recyclers by accident when I did a google search. They were the only one that I could find that would take paper. Not only do they take the paper but they pay you 3.55 cents per pound. I called them and asked if they picked up and they said they did but that there was a $150 charge for pickup minus the 3.55 cents a pound. So unless you had a real large quantity it did not pay to have them pick it up. I loaded up my car and drove to Oceanside, It took about 35 minutes. When you get there you put your car or truck on a huge scale then you come off and they give you bins to put all the paper in. Then when you are done you go back on the scale so they can see the difference so they know how much paper you dropped off. I dropped off a little over 1300 pounds of paper and got $46. The people there were very nice and very helpful. when one bin was full they immediately took it away and brought another bin. I have to admit it was a bit far to travel but unfortunately I could not find another place. I highly recommend Grenelefe Recyclers as they provide a great service and are friendly and very helpful. And best of all you get paid for the paper
