One of my boxes went missing while in one of their own storage units, and despite providing a clear inventory of its contents (worth close to $1,000), I've received little more than vague assurances for over 12 weeks. Only recently was I offered a reimbursement that doesn't even cover half the cost of a single item from the box. What's more concerning is the lack of accountability. No proper inventory was taken at the time of the move, and I was never told that their team should have been responsible for boxing and backing up items in order for coverage to apply. Without that transparency, it feels like customers are left unprotected if something goes wrong. For anyone considering movers, I would recommend Piece of Cake instead, they were half the price and, based on my experience, far more reliable.

I was able to run errands and get things done while they got things done at my home and my storage unit. Pleasant and caring. Davis to ask them to return in order to reassess our move since so much had changed. I left message after message and was finally told that the sales rep I had been dealing with was tied up in Manhattan with meetings and that he would call me at the end of the week. I said I understood and waited for the call back. Figuring that a message may have been lost in the shuffle I decided to call again. The person I had been speaking to for weeks answered the phone and said again that the rep had been busy but that he'd asked her to call me to put me at ease, and that in fact he would be calling me. That was 2 weeks ago. Now, I might have been born at night, but I wasn't born LAST night. I can tell when I'm being put off. The only thing I can't figure is WHY. Trust me when I tell you that this company has changed drastically over the years, and not for the better. At this point, I'd have to be nothing but stupid to do business with them. He came on time for my appointments with him and he was always available. His movers were skilled and careful. They all made my move as easy as it could've possibly been. Greg's price was accurate and it never changed. I will be hiring them for my move back into my home, once the building is complete. I called VanGo about 3pm on a Thursday afternoon and they offered to come the next day Friday. They gave me a 2 hr window from 12-2pm and said they would call when they were on the way with an ETA. They called at 12:30 and said they would be there in 20 minutes and they were. They showed up on time in two what looked to be new dump trucks with the 2 owners, (very nice polite guys) and 5-6 workman. They were done in about 20 minutes and the price was very fair. They take cash check or credit card. Highly recommended.
