But Jiffy Junk walked me through the whole process, the scope of what they would do, what to expect, and how items would be properly disposed. They listened to my concerns, answered a ton of questions, and drew up a very detailed game plan of how the cleaning would go the day of - which helped to reassure me that they were the right choice. This is a rip-off service! I needed a sofa moved from my 2nd floor to the street. I scheduled an appointment and was quoted a price of $188. plus tax. I had to reschedule this appointment because of a work emergency and when they phoned to confirm the new appointment, the price was $100. more which then equaled an entire 5th of the cost for me to move my entire 2 bedroom apartment here from another location. I just got 2 young guys from the neighborhood to do the job. I gave them $50. each and it took them 10 minutes. read more

After a nightmarish moving experience with "Optimum Moving," we were worried about letting anyone else in our now previous apartment in Westchester. However, we had several pieces of furniture that were too heavy to donate or dispose of on our own. Jiffy Junk provided a fantastic service. We easily scheduled an appointment online - the company has great availability. Two polite, friendly guys arrived as scheduled, worked efficiently and carefully, removing several pieces of large furniture (couch, office desks, etc.) and smaller pieces without any trouble, and were quick to remove any remaining trash. Not once did we hear anyone complain (as opposed to our moving service), although our apartment was a third-floor walk-up. We had to clear our Mom's house of junk after she moved to assisted living. Jiffy made three visits getting rid of 50 years of accumulated stuff. They were: 1. On-time for every visit. 2. I hired this company and should have known better just based upon the price tag 8,500 to clean. Mike and his crew threw out way more then I wanted them to throw out. They threw out everything from expensive lamps to a 55-in TV set to a box filled with a 30 years worth of letters from my friends and my family that cannot be replaced I can even go on and on about how many things were thrown out of the house without my consent. it amounts to thousands of dollars that they threw out when they had absolutely no right to do so if Mike and his crew are still working for this company I would not recommend this company to anyone. Jiffy Junk moved my furniture a half a mile to a storage unit. They knocked over my oak armoire cracking the front door in half. Their solution was to have one of their men who specialized in "fixing furniture" fix it. It looked like an amateur fixed it. Then he wanted to drill two more holes in the armoire to make the doors fit. I refused and made him stop. Then the everything became my problem. I had to take the doors to a professional furniture repair service. I had to make the trip from Staten Island to Huntington 3 times in order to get the armoire doors fixed. Jiffy Junk paid for the repair but gave furniture repair company a hard time and didn't want to pay the full price to repair it. Also, be careful when they send three men (per hour) one supervises while the other two work. They should handle JUNK only and not advertise for local moves because they treated your possessions like JUNK, bouncing items down the stairs. Not professional and did not show up on time. I paid over $1,000.00. read more

I called several junk removers to get prices for the stuff I have accumulated over the years that I will NEVER use LOL, after a few estimates I call the guys at JIffy Junk and have to say they were the most courteous on the phone and took the time to evaluate what I had while the others really just barked out a price without asking what junk I had. I could not be happier with the entire experience with Jiffy Junk. From the moment I spoke with them, I knew I was going to use them over several other places I called. The receptionist was very helpful, courteous, and easily set up someone to come to my home to provide a quote on removing an old hot tub from my deck. The quote was reasonable and they explained the cost was a little more than another place because they do not cut up the hot tub on site since it is dangerous to have fiber glass floating in air and getting into my house with young kids. Other places couldn't have cared less and were going to do right there. I very quickly had the quote even emailed to me after a prompt phone call and had several follow ups giving me exact ETA. The gentleman Marvin who handled the removal did a wonderful job in making sure no damage to my deck or lawn. He even swept my deck and raked my grass after!!!
