She then proceeded to tell me I didn't understand the female reproductive system and told me I needed to be on oral birth control. She ignored me when I explained why for my mental health that was no longer an option for me. This was all very disappointing coming from a young woman.. if this were someone of a previous generation or a man it would have still be upsetting, but more expected. I have never left a review of any business before..but I don't want another woman going to her and having a similar experience, especially given the vulnerable nature of her specialty.

Unfortunately, I have had some frustrating experiences with the front office. There have been times when I waited around 15 minutes or more without anyone coming out to answer the phone. I also experienced an appointment being changed without anyone asking me first. I was simply told that the appointment had been changed, even though the original appointment had been scheduled for over three weeks. When you are already dealing with a sensitive situation, this can be very stressful. I also had an opportunity to speak with Nancy regarding what happened. I explained the timeline of events and went through what happened and when. After I finished explaining everything, there was an extended pause, and the only response I received was, "Yes, April can call you." I left the conversation feeling like my concerns had not really been heard or addressed. I do want to recognize April for trying to be helpful and assist with the situation. I appreciate that she has made an effort to help. My biggest concern is the communication and how the situation was handled. I had an appointment scheduled, and weeks later I was still having to scramble to establish care and figure out what was happening. I feel that a simple misunderstanding could have been handled with better communication and understanding from the beginning. I am sharing this because I think patients should be aware of my experience. People are often coming to a medical office during stressful and vulnerable times, and clear communication, patience, and understanding can make a big difference. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and works toward improving the patient experience.

Being a woman of a certain age, and finding the experience of a doctors appointment both…read moredisappointing and frustrating - I do not want to discuss my BMI ad nauseam or be told that I need to eat less/exercise more, and on and on. All of this to say I then avoided doctors like the plague and said things like "well they say they are practicing, I will wait until they are good at it..." Then two very different people in my life both recommended Jennifer Huddleston, and let me say this, I could not be more pleased. Don't know why others are having a hard time with the appointment process, I made mine online. Confirmed with Patty, was sent a link to fill out forms and upload documents - great. I was gobsmacked when I arrived at the office, a few minutes early, checking in and thought I would have time to check emails, alas I did not. Was taken right in, had a thorough intake process, then met Jennifer, who spent 45 minutes talking to me about all of my concerns, leaving no stone unturned. A plethora of blood work, mammograms, and all the things I needed have been ordered and are happening. On a separate note, if you are looking for posh offices this is not it, they are clean and serviceable which is all I care about. I would rather have excellent customer service and a professional who actually cares about what is happening with me, and is willing to listen to all my concerns. That is what rates with me.

It was over before I even knew it and it didn't even feel the least bit uncomfortable. She will also perform an ultrasound to ensure that your ovaries and uterus are structurally sound and there's no underlying issues which is a nice touch, especially since you don't need to schedule another visit solely for this as it's done in office by Dr.Chang herself! I'm so glad to have found her - a good OBGYN that makes you feel safe and comfortable is so hard to find these days but Dr. Chang is proof that they still exist!

She scolded me not to cry before entering the operation room, not worthy of crying?! while my life and my baby's life were in her hands. Only for a couple hundred dollars more, she wants a surgery instead of natural birth. For an insurance covered procedure, she lied to me its cosmetic, I paid her cash and extra. Later, both Blue Shield and Optum confirmed she never billed. After I asked my money back, she claimed through insurance. Don't even think twice, go find another doctor.

I'm very thankful Dr. Mitri has helped and delivered all three of my pregnancies. I recently became pregnant with my fourth child and by week 8 I was feeling off - I completely went from feeling good and happy to all of a sudden feeling grief/loss. I immediately messaged Dr. Mitri and he assisted me with a list of doctors that would help guide me through my depression. Unfortunately, my gut feeling was correct. On my 12 week ultrasound my baby was not developing well. He had a lot of abnormalities. Dr. Mitri gave me guidance on my pregnancy and referred me to a specialist. Sadly, at my 16 week ultrasound following my cvs negative results we noticed the baby did not have a heartbeat. Dr. Mitri was so compassionate and assisted me in coordinating with the hospital to getting me induced and delivering the baby. I arrived on time and wasn't greeted or even acknowledged by the receptionist. In fact, she looked annoyed that I even bothered to come. I sat for about 35 minutes beyond my appointment time and finally decided to interact with the receptionist to ask if perhaps I was skipped or maybe even missed my call to come to the back? Needless to say, that conversation felt a bit unkind. A few minutes later, I was called in to see Dr. Robinson, her assistant was pleasant and eased the tension that I was feeling bc let's be honest, I wasn't thrilled to be there by that point. The doctor wasn't overly nice but wasn't mean either. It's hard enough to find a woman of color doctor in Los Angeles, but I'm not sure if I want a lack of warmth in a GYN. Perhaps she's kinder to a different kind of patient. She made a few recommendations and told me I could get dressed and left, never to be seen or heard from again. I wasn't even offered the option to use the restroom before we got started or after for that matter. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Somehow I managed to find a bathroom while I waited another 20 mins to be called to see the phlebotomist. Honorable mention: the nurse who took my blood was AMAZING. She was really nice to me, and it sucks that of all the people that you come into contact with at this office, only two made me feel welcomed. Best blood test I've ever had-- I didn't feel a thing and I wish I could take her to every appointment when blood needs to be drawn. After two weeks, I finally received my test results. Only one had a note from the practice explaining what those results meant. Thankfully, we live in an age of AI so chatGPT explained what my AMH results meant. All in all, I doubt I'll ever go back to this practice. Paying $300 to be treated as if my presence is a disruption isn't worth it to me. I left this office with nothing gained except negative emotions. Maybe it's not a space for young and employed women of color. Maybe it was simply too late in the day to find the strength to smile at a patient. Sadly, I will never know.
