Recently I had a root canal done by Thomas Germino. It was the most painful dental procedure in all of my 83 years! Truly, the dentist was unable to properly numb the area before starting the process. He took numerous x-rays before, during and after. I was in the chair for over 2 hours, and left in pain. The pain continued over the next 7 months and I'm now facing the prospect of having the root canal redone or removing the tooth per advice of a qualified endodontist as there's an infection causing bone loss. Dr Germino should stick to basic dentistry! Don't ever have him do anything beyond the basic services. He's not an endodontist!! read more

This was the worst dental practice I have ever witnessed. The receptionist was the highlight- pleasant and welcoming. It was not a clean examining room- there was no personal welcoming or even discussion. It took longer to complete the initial paperwork than the time Dr. Greg spent with me in discussion of an ulcer on my gum which he SAID was caused by a cracked tooth- recommended extraction. After a visit to an oral surgeon, the cracked tooth can be repaired with a crown and he gave me advice for the ulcer. If you are looking for no compassion or understanding or kindness- this is the dentist for you. read more

My family have been patients of Tom Germino for over 40 years. My oldest daughter now takes her family to them for their dental care. We have always received excellent care and service with both Tom and Greg. There were times when they were able to squeeze us in during an emergency. They are always up to date on the newest procedures and technology. More than that they are both sincere, friendly and always treat their patients with respect. This by far the best dental prolactin we've ever been to. Both dentists are thorough and extremely kind. The staff is wonderful too. My daughters had to get cavities filled today and they were very scared. Dr. Germino explained the whole process step by step and made my girls feel comfortable and safe. Our appointment was at 5:10 and by 6p both girls were done. They don't double book and they respect people's time. I highly recommend this dental practice. read more

Been a patient a few years. Twice in past year they have messed up my billing and then sent me statement for charges of preventable treatment instead of my insurance which covers 100%. They even have nerve to add finance charge to the very first statement they sent when it's clear they need to be contacting my insurance. Once is a mistake, twice in a 12 month period is sloppy practices in billing department. Did something similar to my ex husband. I won't be referring people to them anymore. read more

I had a great experience at Germino Dental and am no longer beyond scared to go to the dentist! I felt welcomed as soon as I got there by the sweet Receptionist at the front desk. My first visit was a consult about a tooth for a possible root canal with Greg Germino. Greg made sure to answer all my questions and made sure I was comfortable. It is so important to feel comfortable and not rushed and Greg was just wonderful. My second visit was also great and I got a large cavity filled without any pain! I am very thankful for the recommendation to go here and that I found a great dentist office. I cannot wait to go back for my teeth cleaning in a couple weeks with Stacy there! Drs. Tom and Greg Germino are the ultimate professionals. They are highly skilled, extremely friendly, and highly accommodative. They care about every individual and they go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and pain free. Germino Dental's staff is also great. They'll always try to squeeze you in if necessary. The hygienists are extremely professional and do excellent, pain free cleanings. I personally make the trip from Chicago out to Orland Park, just because they're better and more economical than any dentist in Chicago. They're also highly accommodative with insurance. My insurance company has always accepted work done at Germino Dental. I can't say enough great things about Germino Dental. They are the best in the business! read more

Came here for a cleaning and xrays. They said they took my insurance, cleaned only one quarter of my teeth, then I got billed saying they didn't accept my insurance and charged me $700. What a scam. You think they would know if my insurance was accepted there or not right at the beginning. I would have left. Now, they're just trying to cover up their mistake and flip me the tab. read more

Started off wonderful. Not pleased with my 3 year olds management of care. It was recommended that my child get a tooth pulled at age 3. Spoke to surgeon and then had a few follow up questions for the dentist before such a big decision for a young child. As a self proclaimed "tooth" person, when I woke up one morning with severe gum and jaw pain, I panicked, fearful of an impending root canal. Our family had recently signed on with Germino Dental after moving to Orland and had little experience with them other than routine cleanings. Due to our limited history with their establishment, my expectations regarding an emergency appointment waiting time was low. I could not have been more wrong! They not only saw me within a few hours, but did not change me or my insurance. Unheard of as far as I'm concerned. Turns out my condition is a probable wacky allergic reaction to Crest toothpaste. There is scant communication about rationale for recommended procedures, no communication about what your insurance will or will not cover, and no transparency about the extent of non-covered/out-of-pocket costs beforehand. Hygienists are not thorough. Profit motive! read more

I have contacted them several times since June and no one has ever returned my call. Extremely disappointed in the place my daughter went to for the past 4 years. The father was very nice to my daughter and always made her laugh and feel comfortable. Then the son got into the practice and started working there. He was very uncompassionate, un patient, and UN kind from the day he started. My daughter needed 2 teeth pulled today and was very nervous. He had no children skills to calm her down or make her feel better so he just wrote a referral for her to go somewhere else. Really?
