Our house is over 100 years old so we ran into a few snafus, like an uneven floor, bracketing issues attaching the dishwasher to the counter, and hose fittings but he handled it all smoothly, checking with me before making any decisions we might not have been comfortable with (e.g., screws in our counter interfered with bracketing the dishwasher exactly in the center of the space we had wanted so we had to shift a little to the left). He also reused some materials I had left over from a DIY project I had done to level the washer, saving us some money on additional materials. We also ran the dishwasher before he left and identified one of the hoses was a little too loose, causing a slight drip, so he made sure everything was tight and secure before wrapping the job. The dishwasher has been running great! The price was really reasonable and Jose was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely feel very comfortable calling him again for future jobs!

The total job cost a little more than quoted from another contractor, but I feel My Handyman did it more quickly, and they didn't have to destroy drywall to install a house jack. Thrilled with the quality of the work and Brian's knowledge. I will hire them again for many other projects around my house. Here are the cons: 1. No real quote. They charge on a per-day basis. They did not give me a quote to finish the 3-day job ahead of time. The total cost ended up being reasonable, but it seems risky to contract work this way as a customer. 2. Slightly messy. Brian did a great job with the work itself, but there was a lot of trash left over in my yard. I suspect he would have cleaned if I asked, but it saved money to clean up myself. 3. Materials markup. If they buy materials to complete your job, you pay the costs plus some markup rate. The markup rate is not clear; the invoice simply explains that it covers "administrative costs." Brian was not able to articulate the markup clearly. I'm happy to pay for a convenience, but it's not clear whether the markup is exorbitant.

The dishwasher was wired and hooked incorrectly. Was missing the kick plate and was crooked. I had to have a new person reinstall. They forgot the new bathroom fans but after requesting these they were installed, very small and the paint was never touched up or made right around them. There were greasy marks in new paint job, splashes in walls of idk what and the paint we smashed for (high quality washable paint) was not used. The locks installed were not installed correctly, and one had been taken over by the owner and we had to buy a new one (expensive!) I can't recommend this company.
