I purchased an electric stove from Gerhardts in Doylestown. It was installed incorrectly by the delivery people. Another delivery team came the next day and thought the installation was correct. It was not in spite of the fact that an installation diagram is on the back of the stove. I sent 3 emails to the sales person who ignored all three. An email from Gerhardts asking me for an evaluation was answered with a negative review and that was also ignored. Because of the improper installation of the stove, I checked the installation of a dryer that I purchased from Gerhardts 2 years prior. That was also installed improperly. The improper installation represents a safety issue and Gerhardts was totally uninterested as evidenced by their failure to answer any of my emails or evaluation. read more

I dealt with Adam in the Doylestown store. He helped me from start to finish. Didnt try to oversell my needs. My dishwasher was in stock and was delivered quickly. The delivery was on time and the 3 guys were very nice. Each had their job to do and were in and out quickley. They tested the dishwasher for leaks before leaving. They left my kitchen totally clean. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. After having our new washer and dryer installed on a Tuesday, we noticed on Friday that it had been leaking the entire time from a connection. The water went through our hardwood floors on the first floor into our finished basement, collapsing the ceiling tiles and causing major water damage. The installer, a subcontractor, agreed it was their mistake. However we have heard nothing from Gerhards about damages. After multiple phone calls, and assurances that we would hear from someone, including the owner, on Friday, then Saturday, then Monday, here we are Tuesday with zero communication. We have left multiple messages, multiple emails to no avail. We will be filing a case with Bucks County consumer protection to recoup the cost of the water damages. read more

Reviews of the service from Gerhard's made me very skeptical but they were the only ones that had the oven I wanted so I cautiously ordered. Service on the phone was fair, I spoke with 5 different people and 3 were very nice and customer focused, the other two were in no way willing to help and just stated someone will call you back, which they did not. The delivery was absolutely the rudest and most disrespectful delivery people I have ever had. The first person came in and said he could not remove the oven because it was hot. Took it outside but never bothered to open the door to cool completely. His partner refused to remove the strap for me so I could open the door, saying, lady just let me do my job. Then going back to the first person he refused to come out to remove the strap to open it saying his other guy would do it. Now I sit and have to see if any problems occur with the install as my oven was just wheeled in the house banging on everything through the door. these guys are nothing but rude hacks. Meanwhile they left all of the packaging, my old oven and other junk in front of my neighbors driveway. It is such a shame that Gerhard's cannot seem to fix this customer service and delivery issue they have. Not only is the on line reviewing poor but the word of mouth I have heard is equally as bad and it all relates to the terrible customer service and delivery. Went to Gerhard's Doylestown today with wife to buy a refrigerator. When we arrived there was only one salesperson on the floor who was with another customer. We were never acknowledged by her or anyone else in the store and after about 15 minutes we left and bought from another appliance store, Vandergift inc just down the road. I have been shopping for a new dishwasher. I always start with Consumer Reports to get their recommendations. Then I hit the stores. Having gone on a Saturday, the place was busy. Worst company ever! Do not use them. Attitude is the pits. Ordered an under cabinet fridge (Sub Zero) and it took a year to get delivered. Okay, Covid, but the problem started four months ago when I was told it was to be delivered by the end of that month. Then it was two months later and it was in transit. Finally it's here and just dropped off in December. And I mean just dropped off. No install, no haul away, nothing. Called the store and a lady said she would "send an email". Said I never paid for install. I found the email saying I did so I called her back. Now she is saying it's a "special" install. What a bunch of BS. I asked for a manager to speak too and she said no one was there. Mean while I hear people in the background! Do NOT use this company. To much BS and no customer service. Just horrible. Gerhard's very willing to accept our payment when ordering 3 appliances. When delivered parts did not get delivered with our microwave. Either didn't get out of box or was not in it. Several calls later, no response to where the parts were or when they will be delivered or if they were even ordered. Store representative was RUDE and abrasive when we called in inquire. I waited 7 months to receive my GE profile appliance. The range was delivered broken, unable to turn it on. Gerhard would not replace it, I was Ignored and treated poorly, i am still in shock over the situation. I reached out directly to GE. I was informed it is up to the retailer to replace the range. They sent a tech out to confirm it is unusable and needs a control panel. Gerhard still refusing to deliver a new range. The part for my brand new never used range is on backorder until January. We Ordered the Top of the Line Whirlpool Washer & Dryer almost $4k and had to wait 2 months after 4 deliveries that were missing either the Washer or Dryer or Pedestal. Of course they get paid right away and promise great service and then we were lied to for confirmed delivery dates by sales people and Delivery Manager. Delivered 1st Time without the Washer and 2 Pedestals then 2nd Time, Dryer and no pedestals, then 3rd Time pedestals with no Screws to attach to Washer and Dryer. We were given such a hard time from Delivery Manager saying we were "Idiots" to the Driver saying all we ordered was a Dryer until I showed the Drive our Paid Invoice and then the story changed to it was back ordered and hung up on us. We took off from work several times and they scratched the Washer as well. Were promised Credit from the Sales Mgr & Store Manager and never received anything. Refrig leaked for a week and it took them a week to come back out and technican did not have part to repair Over 10 screaming calls later it was repaired. Leak caused ceiling damage in basement. Seniors Beware. My mother close to 80 years old ordered a refridgerator over 6 weeks ago from Gerhards in Doylestown. They gladly charged her credit card and provided a delivery date. The delivery date came and went and they provided a 2nd delivery date. That date too came and went and a 3rd delivery date was communicated. I called a few days before at which time the customer service person confirmed the date. AGAIN we never heard back so my daughter called. She was informed that the refridgerator was on backorder and would not be available for quite some time. Needless to say after close to 6 weeks we cancelled the order. I would highly suggest going to Lowes or Home Depot if you need a new appliance. At least they don't jerk you around like this place. read more

We are undergoing a massive remodel that entails an entire kitchen appliance update. Everything went wrong at every step of the way. Sally, the sales "professional" offered little to no insight on any recommend brands or items to avoid. She never took into consideration some of our unique fitment requirements or appliance adjustments that needed to be made. We received incorrect appliances and had to scramble to adjust. The installers were a nightmare. Gashed new floors, tried to use a piece of scrap wood as an outlet cover, put the stove in crooked and argued with me the whole time. They also never removed all of the old appliances. The topper of all of this is getting an email from the sales rep calling me an "a$$ hole". Finally got to speak with the owner- Linda; and she said that was supposed be an internal email. I'm not sure that is supposed to make me feel any better. After spending $15k+ I would think that a bit of customer support and consultation would be reasonable. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Martin's appliance was a bit more expensive but their consultative approach is well worth it in hindsight. read more

We purchased a GE front load washer and had it delivered and set up. I gave the delivery man a level to make sure it was balanced. He showed me that it was and left. Later, I found out that he leveled it with one on my wife's flip flops! He also tore a 1" hole in our linoleum floor getting it in. After many, many phone calls, someone finally ordered a leveling leg from GE and it was installed without any problems. To compensate me for the ruined flooring they gave me a 10-year warranty on the motor - no labor - just the motor. This is the second time I've had them put in a washer. I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. I made the mistake of buying a washer and dryer from Gerhard's. The GE dryer worked for about 5 weeks and then broke down. That happened 8 weeks ago and I still don't have a dryer that works. Gerhard's customer service is horrible and this has been a nightmare. I ordered my new Thermador cooktop from Gerhards because they were the closest authorized dealer. I hadn't seen the reviews before I went to the store. At the time I visited the store, I was still considering Wolf and Viking as well. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable about all three, and helped me feel completely comfortable with my decision to get the Thermador. I placed the order and requested installation the next Friday early morning. I received both a call and a text on Thursday confirming my 8 - 12 window, and then on Friday morning received several update via text (and also saw. the timing on their website). They arrived at 10, we're very courteous, completed the installation including checking the lines for gas leaks and making sure the cooktop worked properly (in other words a proper installation) in 30 minutes and cleaned up after.
