We had a great experience with Ralph Messina & Son. They came out promptly to diagnose our dryer, ordered the necessary part, and returned on schedule to complete the repair exactly as promised. While they were here, I also asked them to look at a refrigerator light issue and a couple of burners that weren't working on our stovetop. They fixed the refrigerator, gave honest advice on the stovetop, and were professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient throughout. I highly recommend them for appliance repairs. read more

Ralph came to fix our dryer in November 2024. Seemed like a great guy. We had a fun conversation. Ralph told me that my dryer was the top of the line but needed a new belt and roller which he installed. The unit worked for two months. Ralph returned in mid January 2025 and discovered that a new part had to be replaced which he did. Before he left he tried the unit and it wouldn't work, suggesting it was yet a new problem. He had to order the part and came back a week later and installed it. Still not working. In a huff he got up off the floor and told me to buy a new unit. So much for my "top of the line" unit he said I had. He left, muttering to himself, with my dryer in pieces all over the floor. I do not recommend this company for service. read more

Honest, expert appliance repair service! I called for an issue with our dishwasher and was quoted a very reasonable price for the service call. Upon arriving the tech fully examined the dishwasher and cleaned the hose. The problem it turned out was with the garbage disposal. The tech was prompt, courteous, and resolved the problem quickly. And at no cost! We've had some bad experiences with other appliance repair companies. It's hard to find a good one, but now I finally have. Will definitely call Ralph Messina and Son again! Thank you! read more

We used them to repair our refrigerator and hot water heater within 2 weeks time. Needless to say it was not inexpensive, but we found their prices were within reason. As luck would have it, our oven's ignitor went bad and we called them again. And we called them again. And we called them a third and a fourth time. The person answering the phone said our messages were delivered but no return call ever came. I guess business is so good they don't have to return phone calls. We now have serious concerns that if their work requires a warranty follow-up they won't be responsive. A good experience went away because of a rude business practice. read more

Prepare to take a lot of time off of work if you hire this company. You are given a 4 hour window (12-4) for service, usually have schedule a follow up and they don't give an appropriate time heads up on the day of the appointment. - Ralph replaced the water line from sink to refrigerator. He left it leaking, told me to put a bucket under the leak. I ended up going to the store to buy the part and installed it myself to fix the leak. Yes, I had to finish his job. - I needed to order a part for my refrigerator, so I paid for it and scheduled another appointment. I had to take another half day off work because they still couldn't give me a 1 hour block even 2 weeks away. Ralph did not show up for this appointment and he only called me after I called the office at nearly 4pm. I lost a half day of work that day. Ralph said he would come to my house the following week after 5pm so I didn't lose work again. Then, I only heard from him when he called me asking for people's phone numbers (I don't know this man, and he's calling me for phone numbers) but he never called to tell me he has time to install the part, even after I reminded him I was waiting for him for the install. - After a waiting for a month, I called the office and asked for the money back for the part that I paid for and he did not install, so I can have someone else install it. They then decided to argue with me to return my money and now I can not get ahold of Ralph or the Julie at the office to get a full refund on the part. I do not recommend read more

Excellent Service, Excellent Price ! Can't recommend enough. Had a bad experience with Mallard Plumbing in Willow Grove. They tried to Price Gouge (that's being nice). Messina did the Job and did it Right ! Thank you Thank you read more

My wife called them when our washing machine malfunctioned. Came out promptly and inspected it, said it needed a new pump. They charged ~$500, including some mysterious charges that exceeded what was on the written receipt. Here's the kicker: the guy demanded payment on-the-spot, before even verifying that the machine was fully operational. My wife felt a little intimidated and wrote a check. Well, the washing machine still did not work. We called them back and a different guy came out. He looks at it and says, "oh this is all rusted out inside, you're probably not going to be able to fix this". He was nice about it, said he would look into whether he could offer a refund. No answers or communication after that: we've been ripped off. We could have bought a brand new machine for the price we wasted on a repair that the guy knew was useless. I don't have the time or energy to pursue this in court. Don't make the mistake we did. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My wife called this company because their sticker was on our refrigerator. I assume we had them do work on our unit previously, and we were happy with that repair. I really wanted to get the company who replaced our compressor, that gentleman was excellent with respect to providing us a good total estimate and the repair. Unfortunately, we couldn't find his information. Before this company came out, I called the owner because we didn't want to spend a lot for the repair since we had already invested quite a bit over the last few years on this unit. We were going to buy a new refrigerator if the cost was going to be too high. On the call with the owner, I told him I didn't want to spend a lot to fix the refrigerator. I mentioned the unit was making a buzzing noise. He stated it's probably the fan. I asked how much it would cost, and he mentioned that it wouldn't be too bad and provided an estimate. He ONLY mentioned the part price $200, but said nothing about the labor cost, which I assumed would be reasonable. It ended up being roughly $225. He was at our home for about an hour. The total cost was $450, which I felt was excessive. Also, before he started the job, he didn't provide what the cost would be. He said he did, but my wife was adamant that she didn't know the cost until he was done and asked for payment. She was surprised it was that high but paid the bill. I was working upstairs at my home and found out about this bill after the fact. I was livid! I could see an extra hundred or so for labor, but $225 for an hours work is exorbitant. I felt it was a bait and switch. We were told it wouldn't be too much, but the labor was more than the part. I think that is shameful and unfair to us. I would have put that money into a new refrigerator instead of repairing this one, If I had been given a total estimate instead of being provided a part price and being told, "it wouldn't be much". Also, not happy with the responses from the owner. When I complained about the cost of the labor, I received an email that said " sorry your upset, but your wife said okay to it" and  "it's fixed, isn't it, not sure what the problem is". The exorbitant price is the problem. If you want an idea of how much it will cost, I would NOT count on this company to provide that. I am going to the better business bureau and also posting this same message on the review sites. Everyone should know how this organization operates. I hope others read this before reaching out to this company. read more

Just a quick review. I had to use this company due to a broken washer and then a broken dryer within 3 months. This company is awesome, from the very first call to the last completion of my repair they were 5 stars; on time, courteous, friendly , and competent. Its so hard these days to find a company that is reliable. I recommend them; as they were so easy to schedule the appointment and I felt very confident with their knowledge. GREAT COMPANY !!!!!! read more

I have to say that I am very disappointed with this business. I live in a condo where 4 appliances were bought at this location. The Frigidaire dryer had to be fixed twice in 6 months and I was not going to pay 300 dollars again to have it break again 3 months later. So I called the owner and told him that I was looking for a compact washer and dryer to fit in my small closet. My budget was about 2000 dollars so that would have been a nice sale. I texted him the info he asked for, but I never even got a text back! So the day after, I texted him again asking if he could get a specific model of a brand we had talked about. Again, he proceeded to completely ignore me. Needless to say, I will never call these people again for anything! read more

The Messina sticker has been on my washer since day one. I called they must have moved or have a new number. I called and made an appointment. The day they were to come (I took a 1/2 day off work), he called, left a message to say they don't serve my area and his staff should not have made the appointment. I was left high and dry. Why not honor the commitment and make the correction with staff going forward? Had to start all over and there went another day to stay home to get the washer fixed. Urgh. read more

I used Ralph Messina appliance repair company 20 years ago and always got good service at reasonable prices. I needed my washer repaired recently and called them to see if they were still in business and would come to my area. I was able to get my washer repaired at good reasonable rate, and the service was exceptional. The service they provide made me feel confident that if for some reason I would need them to fix the problem again, they would be repair it again. I have used other appliance repairs companies before I called them and was greatly disappointed because of the lack of knowledge of the repair person. I am so happy they are still in business. Thanks again, C.Roxberry read more

Ralph Messina is wonderful. He was the only one who would even come out to attempt a repair on my vintage fridge, and when he got here he was friendly, smart and diagnosed the problem immediately. It was not a repair that could be done here and although he'd spent time on the problem, he didn't charge me. It is such a delight to have found someone so honest and careful and I will definitely call him for future appliance needs. read more

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Ralph Messina Appliance Repair. Our 3 year old GE refrigerator stopped keeping things cold. When I called the official GE service center, they said they could send someone out in 6 days. Then I called Ralph Messina. Julie who answered the phone was very accommodating and understanding. She needed to check with the guys on the road and called me back within 5 minutes to tell me someone would be out TODAY. Unfortunately, I unplugged the fridge. When Nick showed up, he couldn't diagnose the problem and the fridge started cooling again when he plugged it in. He said by unplugging it, we may have rebooted the fridge. However, he told us to call him at 7:00 that Friday night and if it wasn't working, and he would have someone come out on Saturday. When we asked how much we owed, he said we owed nothing. We tried to insist, but he refused to charge us. Very satisfied with this company. read more

Ralph and the whole team really know what they are doing. Without a doubt the best appliance company in Philadelphia and Bucks County. Reliable, trustworthy, and always excellent customer service. I have used this company many times and have always had an excellent experience. They fix it the right way! Highly recommended! read more

This business owner and his staff were extremely rude and disrespectful. They are scam artists that overcharge. They wanted to charge 300 dollars to put a new fan in my refrigerator, but when I declined they bullied and made my wife pay a portion of the charge even though no work was rendered. I put the $30 dollar part in myself after booting them out of my house. Would never recommend. read more
