LESSONS LEARNED: take your own photos of the whole car, so if something happens, you can prove is new damage. Second lesson, don't believe a clean Carfax report. The insurance adjustor looked my vehicle up, and it had been in 3 accidents before I purchased it.

The problems continued after the repairs. The paint began bubbling within one day. The inner fender well buckled, and Gerber blamed me, claiming I hit a curb. There was no damage to support that accusation. A year later, I cracked my windshield and learned something even worse. Gerber had installed the wrong windshield during the original repair and used black electrical tape to splice the calibration wiring. The glass company thought they had brought the wrong windshield, only to discover that Gerber had used incorrect parts and improvised wiring. This level of carelessness and poor workmanship is alarming. I am left wondering what other shortcuts were taken. I would not trust Gerber with any future repairs.

Not to mention they scheduled me to bring the vehicle in multiple times only to tell me they don't have the parts and sent me away. It's an hour round trip. We've made 7 trips (that's 7 hours worth of driving) and it's still not repaired. The manager claims none of this is his responsibility. Showed us before photos of the trim nice and perfect then after breaking the trim the second time around showed us new photos of the cracked trim claiming the original photos never existed.

A few friend recommended looking into paint protection film. Auto Distinctions had done a fantastic job tenting my BMW windows, so I checked with them first. They recommended PPF on the front surfaces and ceramic coating all around. Tesla only tints the back windows , so I added tinting the front windows to make it all match. It took a week to get everything done and the results were fantastic. The car looks better than new! A fantastic look that will last years. The tint is smooth, and the dark color is SHARP. I greatly appreciated the fact that they showed me what the darkest tint looked like in the parking lot as it's much different looking at samples in the shop versus outside on a vehicle. That helped me select my tint color. TIP: I recommend one level lighter than the darkest tint available. Several people told me that while most of the workers have the darkest tint on their vehicles, the darkest tint can make the windows difficult to see out of at night, so I went one level up, which is still dark and perfect for night vision. The reason for 4 stars is to make sure you communicate well with them. When I initially booked by phone, the lady on the phone told me they tint everything except windshield and sun/moonroof. I accepted it as I have never tinted a car before. When I arrived for my appointment, the guy helping me told me I was not scheduled for the windshield and that I would have to come back after waiting 1.5 months to get in the shop initially (they book out due to popularity!). I explained the scheduling process, and the shop manager heard me, then said he would ensure the windshield was done as well (which takes 2-2.5 hours alone). Whew! I dropped my car off at 11am and picked it up close to their closing time at 8pm. The guys took their time on it, and it looks nice!
