My wife's BMW had a broken passenger side window about 18 months ago, but they tried to put an "aftermarket" window in and it didn't fit at all, we waited another week and they finally put in a BMW window, it worked. Scheduling was a real problem, poor communication. Not happy.... read more

My wife had a minor accident earlier in the week and part of the bumper popped out. My insurance company referred us to Gerber near our home in Addison, IL. Set an appointment, showed up and was greeted by Gus. We walked out to my car and Gus said it doesn't look damaged, it just popped off some of the clamps that hold it. He took it around to the shop and 5 minutes later walked into the waiting room and said it's all done. We went outside and Gus had some spray and a towel and started cleaning the area they worked on as he explained what they did. I asked what do I owe and Gus said "Don't worry about it, it's on us." I was floored. I mean, who does that anymore? I'll tell you who, Gerber Collision and Glass in Addison does, that's who. If I ever need any work done, or if I know someone who needs work done, you know I'm telling them exactly where to go, Gerber Collision and Glass in Addison, and make sure you ask for Gus. read more

I found out that this is the shop where my car was taken by my insurance company. Once my car was returned to me (still not correctly fixed) I vowed to never let it go here again. I was hit a few weeks ago and took my car in to my insurance (other guy had insurance, but I though it was easiest to deal with mine and be done.) The entire passenger side had to pretty much be replaced. When I went to pick up my car, there was a huge difference in the existing paint and the new paint. After 6 people at the insurance place finally agreed there was issues. I had to leave my car a second time. It went back to this shop. They "fixed" the issue and then returned the car to my insurance. When they returned the car it was completely empty of gas with the gas light on (not at all how I dropped it off) and there was a styro-foam cup with coffee in the back seat cup holders. I do not drink coffee nor did anyone of my friends prior to me dropping off the car. As I drove to get gas I noticed that the mirror that was replaced is now vibrating and is completely sub par materials! (it is a completely different plastic than the other mirror!) I couldn't believe this! I am completely repulsed by what this shops thinks is "Good" or "acceptable" work. Please, for you own sake. Do not take you car here. read more

This place is wonderful! I dropped my car off for some bumper and headlight work and left completely satisfied. Here is my experience: I was told it could take 2 to 3 days, it was completed the next morning. When they opened I received a text message letting me know that they received my car (i dropped it off before they opened because I had to be at work). I was planning on getting a car wash earlier in the week but decided against because I thought it would get dirty anyway during the repair. When i picked it up i found my car was washed inside and out! Saved me on a $20 Car Wash. I had a personal belonging in a paper bag tucked under the seat and thought they tossed it out during the cleaning, it was actually placed safely in the trunk. My car was repaired beyond expectation and at a reasonable price. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Altogether probably the best repair experience I have had. Definately will return to this shop for my future repairs read more

I scheduled an appointment on Saturday, June 9th to have a technician come to my house to repair a passenger side window on June 12th. The woman I scheduled the service with told me the technician would call me the morning of my scheduled service date to confirm the exact time of my appointment. To prepare for Tuesday, I decided to take the day off of work since I had no idea when this man or woman would show up. When the technician failed to call, I called Gerber at 10:25 am and waited 50 minutes on hold before deciding to leave a message. Warning: Do Not Use the "check the status of your appointment" reason when calling this location. Nobody answers. At 1:22 pm, after not hearing back from Gerber, I called again and decided to pick the "schedule an appointment for service" option, where I talked to a woman who said my appointment was scheduled for 5:00 pm and she said the technician would call me soon. It is now 6:01 pm and I still haven't heard from the technician. I wasted an entire day working from home, waiting for a technician to come to my house. This was a terrible experience. They really keep you guessing as to when or if they're coming. I cannot believe someone recommended this place to me. read more

I'm not too sure why the bad review from the previous consumer, but I had a bad experience made far less painful due to the quality service I received from my experience with the Addison Collision Revision people. I had the unfortunate experience of needing to do business with this establishment on two separate occasions. My situation was not unfortunate due to Collision Revision, but for the reason I was there on both incidents. I had gone to my former favorite car wash recently, and had a rear window wiper blade broken as my vehicle went through the wash. The car wash paid for the repair after some paperwork, and some time delay for things to go through their corporate red tape. Collision Revision was the place I had the repair work handled, and they did an awesome job. Not only was it done properly, it was done within a very short amount of time as well! I literally barely was able to open one of their provided waiting lobby magazines to read an article... when I was handed back my keys with the repair completed. Now comes the truly unfortunate portion of this review. Not only did Collision Revision repair my broken rear wiper blade, but they did so twice. I say twice due to my return visit to my former favorite car wash, and a repeat performance of the wiper blade again being broken. After years of quality car washes there, I found myself being on the receiving end of a bad mishap twice within a two week period. Same issue, same result... broken (but reimbursed for) broken rear wiper blade! Collision Revision staff made a bad situation a bit better for me by being able to resolve the repair portion with a quality repair service, and within an extremely timely fashion. I would have given them a complete "5 star rating" if I were not one who usually thinks that nothing is perfect here on this earth. To me, a "4 star review" is normally as close to it as can be achieved. If I had one thing to mention which could use some improvement within their establishment, it would be the return phone call for when the part was received was not made by them as said would be done, and I was the one who had to call to see what was what. However, I was informed that they had been very busy (which I could tell they were when I arrived), and he had not forgotten me. I was also on the road when I made my call and said I could stop in within a matter of minutes if they could squeeze me in for a quick repair. I was told "Not a problem, stop in whenever." For both repairs of my wiper blade, I was given prompt, professional, and quality service right away. I was in and out of their facility, for both repairs, within about 20 minutes tops For BOTH VISITS COMBINED! That is QUICK service indeed. Especially considering a portion of that time was due to billing/paperwork being performed. My repair may have been an easy fix for the establishment, but I was given immediate service, and at my convenience both times. Job well done in my personal opinion. I will gladly return there in the future if need be... hopefully not for the same reason though! I am currently on the fence on if I will do a review for my "former favorite" car wash or not. While they did indeed reimburse me for my troubles, they have tainted my trust in going there again in the future. Unhappy with the wash, very satisfied with the repairing portions of the incident... from both the car wash people, and the repair people as well! Thanks guys, but I wish it didn't need to be in the first place. read more

These guys are the most fabulous car repair shop I've ever been to. I was rear ended by an insured of USAA, and the whole process was so easy! I took my car into Gerber, the rental was already covered and right there on site, USAA covered all repairs directly through Gerber, and then my car was ready to go three days later, in perfect condition, and I didn't have to deal with payment transactions at all! It made the claims process seamless. Also, their customer service is phenomenal. They want to ensure their insurance partners are happy, which means they will go through GREAT lengths to ensure their customers are happy too--they are very motivated to get perfect scores on their customer satisfaction surveys that their partnering insurance companies give out after you pick up your car. It's truly a brilliant business model. 10-stars all around. read more

Lack of communication. I was told when I took it in that my car would be ready by Saturday June 3. When Saturday came around I called and talked to Aaron. He told me that my car wouldn't be finished until Tuesday June 6. Tuesday comes around and still no calls or emails. When I called and asked about it they said it had been done since Saturday then tried to backpedal and say they had just finished it. Thanks to them we had to extend our rental car by 4 days when we could hve had our own car back. They did a good job on the car but the bad customer service and lack of communication made it not worth it. Would not recommend anyone to take their car here. read more

They worked with the appraisal company for me because of additional damages they found. They allowed me to stop by to see progress. They also washed and detailed the car before giving it back to me. I had my car worked on here through progressive insurance and it was the worst possible experience. To preface my car was spotless before I was in an accident with the exception of 2 dings one above the rear fender and the other on the drivers door opening edge and everything was also stock. When I first received the car back there were 2 large scratchmarks on the hood and fender that went below the paint. It also looked like they had put a running belt sander on my spoiler accidentally and then didn't fix it. perhaps they were thinking I wouldn't notice that there was primer exposed the size of a large grapefruit. The bumper had a large gap in it on one side from their work. When i took the car back to them from the progressive concierge service they told me they didn't do this and the car was like that. They soon agreed that it was probably them and to promptly fix it. After another week I received the car back and inspected it at their facility before driving off and I noticed some new overspray on my car that was a flat silver color instead of cleargloss they were already paid for masking everything off but refused to fix the overspray that was a result of their laziness I then noticed a tar like substance around my spoiler mounts on the trunk. That tar stuff should have been hidden. and they didn't really do anything for the scratches on the hood and fender Upon closer inspection by another body shop they told me that the last guys had broken 2 studs for my spoiler off in there and didn't properly fix it so they put some sort of window adhesive in which I was also told should never be used on paint. I drive an almost new car. When I asked to have the problems rectified the third time they offered to detail my car but not fix the damage they caused, claiming that there is no way they caused the original problems and that this is the condition that it was in when they received it last and that I was making excessive complaints. Do not ever go here their customer service is worse than a dealer trying to sell you a car while robbing you of your money. read more

I want to give a big Thank You to Manager Cody Meyer for helping us replace a 15 year old door handle for our Honda minivan. The replacement handle arrived in the wrong color but Cody had his techs paint it the correct color to match our 2002 Oddy. It looks great.
