After seeing that all of the reviews on here were positive except for the one that seemed upset about being charged I decided to give Gerber chiropractic a try and I was not disappointed. I had been seeing a chiropractor for over a year back in California and was worried that I wouldn't be able to find an adequate replacement when I moved to Nevada but I'm so pleased with the quality of care and customer service that I received from here. Not only do I feel 1000x better but I'm actually really excited to continue my journey at Gerber to better my health overall. Oh and I can't get over the fact that they are open on Saturdays because it's so hard to make medical appointments when you have a Monday through Friday schedule and it is such a relief to see a doctors office catering to that. If you have any doubts I definitely recommend going to check them out yourself! Oh and they also offer a plan if you don't have insurance I'm not entirely sure how it works out but I got the paperwork for my boyfriend to check out so I think that's really cool because not everyone has insurance that can cover chiropractic care or insurance at all so if you don't have insurance there is hope for you as well. read more

Of course, there is no good time to get into a car accident, but in my totally biased opinion, I got rear-ended at the worst possible time. I was transitioning jobs, had recently moved into a new apartment, and my cat needed surgery. So when a rogue SUV slapped my paid-off Civic silly, I. was. pissed. I had a classic case of whiplash, which didn't play nicely with my desk job. After a few days of anguish, I set up an appointment at a (different) chiropractor. It went horribly and I left crying and I had no eager plans to return to another chiropractor. However, my pain got worse and Dr. John and Dr. Kate came highly recommended by literally every review I could find. Reluctantly, I scheduled an appointment and kept it. Truth be told, I did not have high expectations going in. I'd never been to a chiropractor before and my consult down the street didn't exactly leave a good first impression. However, when I stepped into Gerber Chiropractic, I knew that that things would be different here. I was greeted warmly by Dr. John and he thoroughly explained what we were doing and why. He even apologized for the poor treatment I received from the previous chiropractor I met with. My pain subsided by at least 30% after our first visit. I was sold. I continued treatment with Dr. John for a few months and now my neck/upper back are back to how they were pre-accident. Additionally, I also learned some pain-management tricks along the way, as well as a bunch of fun facts about the spine. Though I was discharged from accident-related treatment a few weeks ago, I certainly plan on returning to Dr. John for alignments and quality time with the electro stimulation machine. I'm so happy we came here. I brought my sister here. She could barely move her legs or stand. She went to the emergency room first and all they did was give her two shots in her arms and a muscle relaxer. They sent her home and she had to get on a plane. This couple came out and helped me with a wheel chair and got her into the building and took her back for X-rays as soon as we got here. I couldn't be more relieved that this is the place we came! I have had chronic pain most of my adult life. I served in the Marine Corps from the time I was 17 and time I spent in I received several serious injuries that now 14 years later are taking their toll. I see a doctor monthly and all they can offer is pills. It barely helps. The first time I met Dr Gerber I was at my end. Nothing the Doctors were doing was helping and they even told me surgery wouldn't help. The answer was more pills. I'm not kidding when I say that on my first visit I experienced extreme relief. I'm not going to say every person will get instant relief we are all different. I had been not sleeping for weeks at a time from pain. We becoming a horrible person due to this. I saw him twice and was feeling so much better I thought problem solved and went on my way. Skip forward to this year and it was coming back. This is now 8 years later from him "Saving my life". I had long forgotten my savior and the pain was coming back. I went and saw Dr Gerber again. Pretty close to the same effect. I have now started going weekly. There are places where I had constant pain for years and just the act of him helping those areas they are all but pain free. I didn't know how bad I had gotten till it was gone. I find myself now doing things. Daily tasks we all do however I noticed I do them a bit different. Like picking something up from the ground. Normally you bend over and grab it. Now now. Now I bend down not allowing my back to bend and then lean slowly and test coming back up before I do. I never noticed this was what I was doing however now that the place I had pain isn't stiff and in pain. I have to retrain my self not to do this as I don't need to. I can just pick it up. Chiropractors get a weird stigma that they over bend things to help and could hurt you more. This couldn't be further from the truth. Your friend who read a book once does that. Not Chiropractors. Had I listened to these rumors of the friend who died after seeing a chiropractor I'd likely not be here anymore. It was that bad. Dr Gerber and his wife are awesome. There should be life awards for people who change people's lives this much. Maybe there is but I'm unaware so Yelp will have to do for now. read more

Dr. Kate Gerber helped me immediately! I had injured my neck and back running on the treadmill at a high incline. I looked down to look to see if my shoe was untying and I felt my spine grind together. Ick! My spine had felt like it was compressed for days and I couldn't lean my head back without pain. On top of that I had a long international flight the day after I saw her and did not want to be so uncomfortable on the plane. She was able to pinpoint the problem immediately after an assessment and adjusted me appropriately. I had never been to a chiropractor before so for my first visit I had no idea what to expect. Dr. Katherine Gerber is a great chiropractor. I went to her with a stiff neck and some minor right shoulder pain/tingling. She took the time to explain how the two symptoms were probably related to the same nerve and what she thought she could do to help. I appreciated this greatly as I have a small fear of all things doctor related. She had me feeling better after just the first visit! Dr. Kate is amazing & very knowledgable! I came here throughout my pregnancy to help with the normal back pain & pelvic pressure that pregnancy gives you and also to help make labor easier. Not only was I happier during my pregnancy because she helped manage my back pain, but I believe my labor & delivery was as pain free & smooth because of the chiropractic care I was receiving. I was able to go through labor & delivery w/o the use of pain relievers/epidural and I believe that getting adjusted frequently helped with that. Dr. Gerber is amazing! I pulled my lower back and he genuinely cared to take the time and be very careful in diagnosing and treating me. To heir on the side of caution due to some of my answers and movement restraints, he took an X-ray before working on me. His professionalism and knowledge makes a huge difference as I've been to other chiropractors and was not nearly as impressed as I am with him.
