We bought two small six-inch peach pies... $45.90! Yikes, so overpriced...the crust was scorched and little filling. No price advertised, my bad for not asking because I probably wouldn't have bought them. We won't be going back. read more

Bought a cherry pie and there are litterly very little cherries. It was 21 dollars for a small pie. We bought a peach pie and cherry and one apple cider donut and a jam . 75 bucks. Crazy First of all that's insane and second barely fruit A pie has fruit read more

Definitely $31 for a 9-in. diameter pie seems a bit steep, but it's fun to drop by and see the variety of flavors that they have for the pies. The oat crust was nice and crumbly with various sized bits, the oat bits made it a bit chewier. The bottom of the pie was likely somewhat undercooked, a bit too doughy. The main issue was that the flavoring was too sweet, but I say that for any number of pies that I try out. The inside of the store looked quite neat, with varieties of gardening decor goods available. It was interesting that the bumbleberry pie had rhubarb in it. Is that usual? read more

This is an unusual place. Absolutely gorgeous inside. However, there were gift and decorator items you can get on amazon or a thrift for more than half the price. The 6" pie was $21. I thought I'd do it this once. The crust was hard and dry. Considering I bake, I could have made 2 full-sized pies, but glad I stopped by just once to see it. read more

Many of the reviews here are about over-priced crappy pies, too few are about the nursery itself. I stopped for the plants and OMG this is one of the most interesting collection of rare evergreen plants I have ever seen in the Boston area. I am an avid gardener for 15 years so I've travelled near and far to look for plants. There are many things here that I have only seen in magazines and online. 95% of plants I was interested in were in excellent condition. Some annuals were waning---as they should be given that it's August. Prices---not cheap for sure but some things are not much above Weston's, which is also an excellent nursery. Hard to compare because of the rarity of plants at Gerard's. As an aside I find the Lincoln Weston's is gorgeous---they bought the old Stonegate Gardens site and it's beautiful. You could do Weston's and Gerard's at one time, they are about 20 mins apart. So...if you are looking for special plants and like to wander thru nurseries this is an interesting place to visit. If your thing is Mahoney's, then be forewarned that this is a completely different experience. Not knocking Mahoney's---I've have spent a fortune there---but Gerard's is just such a different kind of nursery. read more

Lots of negative reviews here but I think the apple cider donuts are fantastic! They lose a star because they are pricey AF but when they are fresh they can't be beat. read more

After driving by this place for years, I finally stopped in. Never again. A 6 inch pie and a jar of jam were ridiculously overpriced. I haven't tried the jam yet, but the pie crust was forgettable, and definitely not worth what I paid for it. I don't like giving such low reviews, but I don't understand how this place is still in business. Read the reviews before you go. read more

I bought a larger apple and two smaller pies. $70 The crust was good but not enough filling. The larger apple pie had mold in it. Threw away. No wonder the guy stands behind a glass enclosure. read more

Apple crisp pie was good, except I paid $22 for a 6 inch. Had to take a loan out for that. Also parked on the side of Rt. 2, risking my life for this expensive pie that's worth $10 at most. Otherwise pretty cool place. Y'all are definitely exploiting someone's grandma for $22 6 inch pie, like a Frankie Valli concert. read more

Extremely overpriced, feels like money laundering. The garden section is awful, everything outside is rotting and everything inside is covered in flies. I asked an employee how much a small terracotta pot cost and he spent 15 minutes texting someone to ask for the price before landing on a whopping $16. No thanks, we walked out. And just ignore the bakery, for the love of god. The pies are covered in mold and they sell low quality jams with their own sticker on it, you can see it peeling off. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

"Talk about highway robbery" I am sure that they do not have repeat customers. Their signs get you to hit your brakes on often busy Rt 2 (65mph) no pull off or safe access. Some items appear to come from Wilson's Farm and marked up in price. It is a gold mine for the owner. read more

This place only still standing because it's packed with first timers. Guarantee once you go you never go back! Overpriced and rude people! Talking about a place that only cares about the money and not the customers! A totally rip off in the middle of nowhere in Lincoln! There's nothing special about this store and somehow they think they're the best stand in the planet. The owner is also very rude! No wonder she's ripping people off !! read more

Buyer beware: When someone talks about highway robbery this place will forever come to mind. It was our mistake to not be more aware when we heard the woman in front of us buy a fist full of apples for $30; we still bought a small 6' pie , bread, cider and two peaches for $45. I give them an extra star because they do have other products that looked very nice if money is no object. read more

Literal Highway Robbery My family used to own a farm and we'd sell to the locals at cheaper prices than the grocery stores. Gerard's Sells mediocre / ok products at ridiculously High prices. 40 dollars for a tiny pumpkin size of your fist, tiny pie and bar of soap. Hope you were smarter than me and read up on here first. read more

Have driven by this spot soo many times - finally decided to pop in and grab a treat on my way home yesterday. Lots of different baked goods, produce and a very cute shop inside. However - the man who checked me out was less than friendly. And I paid $25 for 2 donuts and a very small pie. Donuts were meh, pie was good. Wouldn't go back - so many other friendlier, cheaper places locally! read more

Have been driving by this place for years. Should have kept driving. My son and I stopped in a week or so ago and bought 2 peaches and a large cherry pie. The bill was $35. The pie was $29 and it was just terrible. It was the worst pie, of any type, I have ever tried to eat. There was some Jiffy-type, cake mixture/crust on the top, which was laid on the fruit in squares; it was terrible and I'm not sure what it was made from. It was not a typical crumble top or typical top crust. The cherries, which there weren't a lot of, were tasteless, formless, and adherent to the top crust. Terrible pies; astronomical prices. Keep on driving. Go to Verrill Farms (Concord) or Wilson farms (Lexington). Stop and Shop has better pies and they're less than half the price. read more

My go to source for pies. They have a great assortment of delicious fresh pies. Owners are knowledgeable and the nicest. Great assortment of plants and paper goods. read more

Happened to drive by this place and went to check it out. Does it have the best prices or products? Maybe not, but it was convenient for me passing through. Is it pretty much mostly open air, not too busy, and people are wearing masks? Yes, this. We got some lemon poppy bread, a pie, some string candy, a apple cider doughnut and some jam. So far, pretty tasty. It came out to $55, maybe a bit pricy, but I'm probably not getting that stuff anywhere else right now thanks to the pandemic. read more

Yeah no fan of the place. Many a times in the past I drove by the stand and saw the sign for fresh pies. So today I finally stopped by out of curiosity and to help a small business out. I bought their largest apple pie and a small one along with one apple cider doughnut. I won't shop or stop there ever again, unless I get a flat or something. The three products I bought there cost me $51.00!! Shameful. Zero stars for them in my book; but yelp won't let me go that low, so one star it is! People like me like to help small businesses out, but lets be reasonable here. I'm certainly not loaded with loot! read more

Pies are tasteless, a few interesting items and plants, all foolishly/massively/and snobbishly overpriced- all for the privilege of encountering a most unpleasant owner. A hard no. read more

This place is for suckers! And my husband and I were two of them! Cute inviting nursery center with beautiful flowers and statuary and a sign saying fresh pies. We wanted good old fashioned pie. We were barely welcomed, we asked for pie, she pointed and said they are over in the other room. We found them, no prices on them. Actually I couldn't find prices on some of the statues and cute figurines either. We got a normal size peach, a two small pies. Total over $70!!! Wth?! I'll say the crust was good and the apple crisp was ok, but overall They were not very good. Definitly not $70 worth. I'm not a baker but my husband even said my pies were better. If she'd just put prices on things maybe she'd have better reviews so people, aren't caught off guard. read more

I stopped at Gerard's fresh pies on Sunday and was totally disappointing with the $17 Apple pie. It had about the same amount of filling as a Table Tok pie that probably cost about $2. TOTAL WASTE AND RIP-OFF read more

Gerard's - $17 waste of money. - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Lincoln, Massachusetts

Gerard's is an unexpected gem! My husband & I were on a gorgeous scenic drive when we took a sharp turn into this stunning little farm stand. We were enamored by piles of pumpkins in every shape, size & color. At every turn there was another beautiful, unique piece for your home & garden. This was all before we stepped inside! Step inside this farm stand shop & it is the ultimate juxtaposition of what is outside, both beautiful mind you. Inside are the most stunning decorative home pieces, candles burning with alternative music in the background. We have nothing like this in Southern California. I am smitten:-) read more

Hurtling down Rte 2 I saw the chalkboard sign "Fresh Pies" and did a mad dash across 2 lanes & into the parking lot. Like a gardeners dream; unusual statuary, plantings, edibles, ambience---and pies! Selected a Peach and a Strawberry Rhubarb. Tried not to have coronary arrest when the total was $45. For that, the pies should detail my car and balance my check book. Yes, very delicious and it's summertime and my family & I deserve a tasty treat. Enough said. read more

I feel so upset. We were headed to an orchard with the kids this morning when it started pouring and we had to turn around. I saw a sign for cider donuts here and screeched off of route 2 to run in. I got 4 Fuji apples and 6 cider donuts and it came to $25. I was too embarrassed to walk away, but I wish I had. It would have cost us less to go apple picking. I was just trying to salvage the day but now I feel worse. I can't imagine how or why cider donuts could be $3.50 each when you can get a bag of them for that much at any of the orchards nearby. I'm just blown away. I've never had Fuji apples before so don't know what they are supposed to taste like but these were watery tasting. And the donuts were dry. read more

Really? $3.95 each for mediocre, grocery store apple cider donuts? Shame on me. With all the farm stand/garden stores in the vicinity, skip Gerard's. Nothing sets it apart, except for the prices. read more

Gerard's is located on route 2 eastbound and has an excellent collection of topiaries and other gardening goodies, including statues planters and evergreens. Attractive store with garden and home goods, but agreed on the "highway robbery" comments on farm stand. A delicious pie ($28.95), unremarkable apple cider doughnut ($3.95) and run of the mill pumpkin bread (15.95). Shame on me for blind purchases. Opt instead for Wilson Farm in Lexington, where 12 inch apple pie is $12.95 and HOT apple cider doughnuts (sold outside on weekends) are $1 apiece. read more

I work at a small program for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. After a beautiful hike at Walden we stopped at Gerard's to buy pumpkins. I've grown up in the area but had never been to Gerard's as I had heard they have a reputation for being rude. Before the five of us had even gotten out of our van, their reputation for rudeness was verified. By the time we attempted to pay for our pumpkins it had been verified two more times. We decided to leave and buy much cheaper pumpkins from kind people. According to Linus from Charlie Brown, the Great Pumpkin comes every Halloween to only the "most sincere pumpkin patch." I wonder what comes to the rudest? read more

Here's the scenario - you stop at one of the Rt 2 farm stands to get your white pumpkin and fall plants. You pick a place that looks nice - though most do, but as you knock around outside at this particular one, you noticed the extraordinary garden ornaments, the teenie cabbages and kale plants, and the crazy assortment of gourds, etc. - this assortment is hard to find. Home Depot doesn't have 'em. You grab your stuff, head inside to pay and whoa! What is THIS? Who knew - It's also a fantastic flower/ antique/ home furnishing/ decor/ gift/ sweet treats store, complete with a fabulous, helpful, pleasantly accented man with great hair, all layered up in a pink sweater. Did I mention the whoopie pies and home made turtles? Tee hee. It's pricey, sure, but they stock some very unique things. The candles, mirrors and various furniture pieces all catch your eye. Here's the confusion - the sign on the building says Perretta's but the receipt says Gerard's. I know of Gerard's, and I've heard it's a fantastic place to order flowers. No time to research, but I suspect that they either moved across the road and/or purchased another location. read more

TOTAL RIP-OFF Most of the products don't have prices. A few pieces of fruit, an 8"pie, and a loaf of bread came out to over $50. Yes, over FIFTY dollars. There was a line behind me and a disinterested clerk, so I didn't want to make a ruckus and return items. It's UNFATHOMABLE that this small bag of goods could cost this much. After eating the products, I can say the quality wasn't even great. The pie tasted like it had been frozen. With a location right on busy Route 2, this is literally HIGHWAY ROBBERY! NEVER AGAIN - buyer beware! read more

Over priced, MOLDY pies! I bought an 8" pie and apple cider which came out to be $30! The annoying part is that the prices weren't marked on anything so you have no idea what anything costs until you get to the register and these prices are significantly more expensive than other places around. I would have been ok with paying extra for high quality products but less than 48 hours after buying the pie it already has mold growing on it! This has never happened to me before finishing a pie, clearly the pies were old and the dates weren't even marked on them. read more

I really don't know what to say about the strong pie-related statements here, because I don't buy pie at Gerard's, but the selection of plants, gifts, and decor items is devastating. I have never stopped here because I feared the traffic to get back onto Rt 2, but the other day, I learned it was worth it. There are huge piles of gorgeous pumpkins - regular, weird, Cinderella, squashes of all shapes and sizes, dried corn, corn stalks, mums mums MUMMMMMMMS, and creepy cool garden statues to ogle. So great. There's a farm stand in the covered part (outdoors) with apples, squash, onions, peppers, handmade pies (big and small) and tons of goodies - cookies, muffins, happiness, you name it. Inside, it looks like Martha Stewart got together with a bunch of gardeners and had a craft showdown. It's lovely. read more

I have driven by this place on rte 2 for years. Decided to stop in today and support a local business. Big mistake! The apple pie cost $25 and was nothing special. The cider donuts were $3.95 each!!! My sister & I were driving by & decided to stop to buy pies and look around. Wish I had seen reviews before buying. We both bought small apple pies.
