Awful! I switched from aspirus to marshfield thinking they were a better option. I was wrong! I…read morewent for my annual exam and then received a bill for the cost of the preventative wellness exam. My wellness exam is covered under my insurance. Marshfield coded this incorrectly and not as a screening but instead as a diagnostic test. I am now stuck in there billing/dispute process that is never ending. I opened a review/dispute with Marshfield in July, never heard anything back. I called again in September and nothing was ever reviewed or completed. I was told by the woman I spoke with in July that I would receive a letter as to what the dispute result was. I spoke with the billing supervisor, they elevated the level for the dispute. I was told to call back in 3 weeks to find out if anything has been done. I have called back multiple times and even requested that I receive a call back from the supervisor. Each time I call, I have received different information. One woman said the review was complete and code was changed. I called my insurance company, it was not. Another woman said I needed to send my EOB, not true, then next woman said the review board has 30 days to review since the elevated response was given. I also was told that a supervisor has 5 business days to call back after a call back request was made. I have not received that. I am still in the limbo of the billing department. My friend recently mentioned she had a similar experience and it took 10 months to get it resolved! My experience with Marshfield clinic has been awful.

I'm not reviewing this business because I work there. This is just an FYI on Marshfield Clinic…read more Marshfield Clinic has many centers throughout central and northern Wisconsin. This center is across the street from Aspirus Hospital. (There are two hospitals in the Wausau metro area; the other is St. Clare's in Weston.) There are approx. 130 providers (physicians, NPs, PAs, etc.) in the Wausau Center. They are in a wide variety of specialties including the primary care specialties of Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. There is an urgent care department called Walk-In. In August I found myself here after I felt as though I'd broken my ankle. My suspicions were…read morecorrect, btw. At any rate after a painful drive over (yes drive.I'm a survivor by nature,) I was quickly checked in. The receptionist offered me an ice pack right away and I hobbled to a seat in the waiting room. It was busy in the urgent care that morning, so I did have to wait about 10 minutes before I was called back. The nurse offered me a wheelchair and since my ankle had swelled to baseball size, I took her up on the offer. The nurse was very friendly and we chatted about dogs and the perils of the dog park (where my ankle was broken earlier that day.) She kept me supplied with ice packs and fashioned a gauze holder to keep the pack over my ankle. After the doctor stopped in to check the damage, I was off to x-ray! Fast forward 30 minutes and yours truly was being fitted with crutches and an Aircast to stabilize a broken ankle. Both the doctor and the nurse wanted a different Aircast for me (my foot was too small? That's cool!) So the nurse wheeled me up to Therapy Services so I could be fit with a nice Aircast (and comfy sock) plus be taught how to use crutches properly. We are a Dean family and the friendly service is what keeps us in this health system.
