I'm so surprised by the existing reviews. I've been seeing dr. chitters since 2013 after being diagnosed with postpartum depression that was not responding to the typical antidepressants I had used for episodic depression in the past. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, placed on a low dose mood stabilizer and did very well with that until I had another baby and developed PPD again, much worse than before. Again he was able to get me on medication that got me feeling better quickly. I am a person that has to thoroughly research every med and diagnosis before I can accept it, and so far dr. chitters has been right every time he has prescribed something to me. I also like that he will work with you if you are a "med minimalist" like I am who is hesitant to be on multiple medications - he always gives me several options and encourages me to go with the option I am most comfortable with. I've never had an issue getting meds when I need them or getting a call back when I need one. He is available by cell phone 24/7 and has daily, regularly scheduled phone hours for patients as well, in addition to the his assistant during normal business hours or voicemail if none of those options are available.
I don't love having to see a psychiatrist, but if I have to see one, I feel pretty fortunate to have dr. chitters as mine. read more
