Once I was finally seen, Dr. Sarnoff rushed through my exam. I guess to be expected as she was at least 2 1/2 hours behind. I have a history that was important for her to know since she was seeing me for the first time, and I didn't feel heard at all. The next time I went in I had asked about some blemishes on my face and was given a brief consultation to have them taken care of. I made an appointment and gave a $500 deposit in cash. After thinking about it for a week or so I called and said I had changed my mind and would like my deposit back. It took over 2 months and many nasty phone calls from Nikki to FINALLY get my money back. It was one excuse and lie after another. From then on I was extremely uncomfortable any time I had to call the office because I was spoken to rudely and hung up on while I was saying goodbye. After this incident I was very turned off but decided not to let the rudeness of the receptionist dissuade me from seeing my doctor. I was having an episode of welts and rashes on my fingers and toes so I called and asked if I could come in to be seen. Nikki claimed there were no appointments for 4 weeks. When I told her that I was having the outbreak now and may not be in 4 weeks, she suddenly found an appointment in 2 weeks. I still was not convinced I'd have anything to show the doctor in 2 weeks so I asked her what she does when patients have issues like this that need to be seen immediately? She told me she tells them to go to the emergency room and that's what I should do. I told her it's not an emergency per se, just that it needs to be looked at before it's gone! At this point I felt Nikki was not going to make it easy to give me an appointment ever. Every time I called the office she was rude and dismissive of me. At this point I really should have been done here but I decided to give it one last chance because I needed a skin check. I have a strong family history of skin cancer and I've had several spots removed from my body that were "moderate" and needed to be watched. Nikki could not get me in for almost 3 months. I took the appointment and decided to wait. A week or so before the appointment Nikki called to confirm and told me that soon Dr. Sarnoff would not be doing skin checks anymore- that she'd only be doing them for certain patients and because I've been waiting so long, she would do mine but after that it might not be her. My appointment is tomorrow. Today I received a call from a different receptionist (I guess Nikki felt too embarrassed to make this call after speaking to me just last week) that Dr. Sarnoff is no longer doing skin checks so a different doctor would be doing mine tomorrow. I explained that I was aware she was going to be stopping skin checks because Nikki had told me that last week, but she had also said that Dr. Sarnoff would be doing mine because I had waited so long for my appointment. The receptionist told me sorry but no she can't do mine. She has too many cancer patients and Mohs surgeries to do. It is abundantly clear that this practice (Nikki?) plays favorites. If she doesn't like you, watch out because your health might be put at risk. Dr. Sarnoff may be a good doctor, I really don't know because my interaction with her has been so little, but any doctor who would employ staff who are rude, condescending, lie and pick favorites is not a doctor that I'd want taking care of me. Dr. Sarnoff lost me as a patient today. Anyone reading this would say what took so long?

After my daughter's fantastic experience having Dr. Roger L. Simpson perform her breast reduction 3…read moreyears ago, I had him also perform a breast reduction on me. I can not praise him and his staff more. I had a very difficult case. I had ruptured implants, severe encapsulation and needed a reduction. My breasts were extreme and I had been discouraged from having a reduction 20 years ago and encouraged to just add implants and a lift. First thing, Jeannie Watson was a master at working with my insurance to get the entire procedure covered 100%. The surgery was approved but Dr. Simpson felt it best to do the surgery in 2 parts, rather than all at once. Jeannie made sure that the coverage was still in place, in spite of it being a more complicated surgery. I had 2 surgeries in the past 6 weeks. The first was the removal of the implants and encapsulations. Both implants were ruptured, and Dr. Simpson got all of the silicone as well as all of the encapsulations and scar tissue. The surgery went extremely well and I had a very non-eventful recovery. I had almost no pain and was up and around very quickly. The second surgery, which took place last week, also went extremely well. I had very difficult breasts to reduce and they were a challenge. My outcome was absolutely fantastic. For the first time in my entire life I have attractive, normal looking breasts. I had a small issue with a clogging of my drain the night after the surgery. Dr. Simpson's Fellow, Dr. Nick Kunda, was on call and encouraged me to come into the emergency room to check and make sure that everything was fine. This was at midnight on a Friday night, but in spite of this, he arranged for me to be admitted to the ER promptly and was there waiting for me when I arrived. I have never had such a smooth, quick ER experience. Dr. Nick took his time to check and make sure that everything was absolutely fine with my surgery site and my drains. He was kind and caring and didn't rush in any way. He also followed up with me, by text, when I arrived home and the next day. I could not be happier with Dr. Simpson. He is a true artist and a wonderful doctor. His staff is efficient and top notch. Below is my original review with regards to my daughter's surgery: My daughter (age 20) had breast reduction surgery performed by Dr. Roger L. Simpson. The results were nothing short of fantastic. He reduced her to the size that she wanted and her breasts now look spectacular, only 2 weeks out from the surgery. Dr. Simpson and his staff were absolutely professional and my daughter felt comfortable and well informed during the entire process. The offices, exam rooms and the surgical suite used were all top of the line and we never felt concerned about the quality of any part of the process and services. I would highly recommend Dr. Simpson for breast reduction surgery.

I've gone back and forth whether to share this mediocre review, but I feel it's important for others to be informed before committing and know what to expect if you pick this office. In mid-2024, I went in for a consultation with Dr. Nik. My first impression was mixed, he was over an hour late and the NJ office isn't his, it's a rented space with limited seating. I initially gave the benefit of the doubt for the late arrival, assuming it was due to surgery or traffic. When he arrived, he was extremely friendly and personable, very likable in person despite the delay and strange office space. So I changed my thought on him. Following the consultation, I waited weeks to receive my pricing estimate for the procedures. I understand that coordinating with insurance and estimating procedures takes time, so I remained patient. Eventually, I had to follow up myself, and after another wait, the surgical coordinator sent the quote. This was for a breast lift, implant exchange, and C-section scar revision. I spent several weeks considering my options. I ultimately decided to move forward with the breast surgery as I saw photos of his work and was pleased with them, but opted out of the C-section scar revision, as they couldn't provide any photos or examples of previous work. That made me uneasy, and I didn't feel comfortable proceeding without some proof of results. Overall I really like Dr. Nik, and felt comfortable, so I proceeded with the breast surgery. My breast surgery was scheduled for December 2024. The hospital check-in was smooth at LIJ, and I was the first case of the day. Nurses so nice too. However, Dr. Nik was late to my surgery start. The anesthesiologist even commented that he's always late and seemed visibly frustrated. This aligned with my own experience, he has been 1-2 hours behind for nearly every appointment, whether in person or virtual pre and post op. He's not great with time management, or they overbook him which is likely the case. As for the outcome of my surgery, I would describe it as just okay. I'm not thrilled, but I'm not entirely unhappy either. The results are passable, not outstanding, not terrible. The size and lift I have no complaints, but my nipples are slightly uneven, different sizes and one points to the left too much. I wouldn't discourage anyone from going to him, but I wouldn't recommend him enthusiastically either. I am 50/50 and ultimately one should be ecstatic after plastic surgery, but after this I was just very much "oh they're okay" type of attitude. I've told Dr. Nik this and the nurses too. He did send me to have laser in his office, which I've done and hoping the redness from scarring goes down more to help reduce how visibly different sizes the nipples are. In short, the work will get done, and you'll be in safe hands, but expect average results, not perfection, and consistent delays across the board. His staff, like him, are kind and pleasant, but they struggle with time management too so keep that in mind when or if you book.
