Then, when she walks out the Doctor immediately called for Yoshi and she's taken back to complete the full eye exam. I'm left waiting when I could have went back and been finalized before she ever commenced. With that, I won't bother utilizing Shopko again. I usually plan for Labor Day weekend and complete all appointments while visiting family as I'm out of state now. Well, I'll just find someone local for 2026. This was wholly inefficient. And, the kicker: per the staff they didn't usually get people to show up on time let alone early. I have had the pleasure of working with each of them and I have to say I am very impressed. They take the time to really understand your concerns and make sure they go above and beyond to give you the highest quality of care. Others have mentioned the prices, but the prices are very reasonable given the care and expertise given. I would rather pay more than Walmart prices and get real medical treatment for a good price than save a little and get subpar treatment. You only get one set of eyes, and I am glad mine are in such good hands!

I had to call back the following Monday, the 6th. It was Lisa that answered again. I explained that she had previously told me she would call back to schedule an appointment and I haven't heard from her. Instead of offering any sort of apology or acknowledgement, she just replied, "are you available Tuesday?". I appreciate that Lisa tried to call back, but my answering system caught her saying, "and she wonders why she can't get an appointment". The snide remark from the owner of a small business gives me pause. Being in a family of small business owners and having worked in one for half my life, what being in a family-owned business has taught me is, above all, humility and exercising consideration to make your customers feel cared for. This was not the feeling I received from my interaction with Lisa. Based on my initial experience, I am not confident that any future experience will be different. It's too bad because the clinic is right down the road from me.
