This was by far the best waxing experience I have ever had in the 10 years I have been getting Brazilian waxes! First off I was not familiar with the area, and forgot my phone, so I was 20 minutes late. Georgie and her receptionist were very understanding, and still fit me into their packed schedule. The studio is very clean and warm, and Georgi made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Georgi worked quickly and was careful to get every hair. I was nervous about the waxing being more painful than usual because it was my first bikini wax since I have been pregnant, and I had been warned by many people that it would hurt more. Absolutely adore Georgi's Waxing studio! The owner is so humble and sweet. Although I usually book with her Ive tried under arm waxing with a couple of her girls and they all did a really good job. Seems as if they all have the same gentle touch that is much needed when you're getting hair ripped from your body in some of the most SENSITIVE areas (((Yikes))). I would like to start off by saying this review is a reflection of the second Brazilian wax I have received through Georgi's salon, my first wax (with Georgi herself) was a much better experience and would warrant more stars... Today I received my Brazilian from Alex, a very nice fairly quiet young woman. I was brought to a room where old linens from a previous client were on the bed and asked to go ahead and change (with nothing to change into offered until I asked). This was a simple mistake which she quickly apologized for and corrected- no big deal. The waxing itself was fairly painless and it was very quick, which is great, however maybe part of the problem? I was in and out within 15 minutes or so give or take some for changing. My biggest issue with my Brazilian today is that I am still completely covered in hair. Now I realize there are two levels of hair growth and I didn't expect to be completely smooth as a babies bottom, however I did not expect to see SO much hair left over. This includes long hairs on my bikini line which should have easily been removed. When paying $55 (plus my $8 tip) I just expect to see a professional job, unfortunately that is not what I received. When I received my very first wax from Georgi herself, none of this was the case. I did have a few hairs left at that time as well, but a small enough amount to be expected and I was able to just pluck at home. I hope that today was just an off day for her, as Alex was a nice woman. I am just very disappointed and will have to find a way to take care of the rest on my own, prior to my upcoming vacation. Sadly I will not be going back to Georgi's after this experience. read more

I was in between giving 2-3 stars to this place. The description for 2 stars is "Meh. I've experienced better." I think that describes my experience perfectly. First off, I have been getting brazilian waxes for roughly 4 1/2 years, so this was not my first experience. The positives: -Price is right...and they offer a first-timer discount. -Quick and professional The things I didn't care for: -The fuzzy "blanket" on the table that you lay on: Um...I would rather see a fresh sheet of table paper...Even though it might not look as nice, at least I know that it hasn't been used by someone else. -Same goes for the "gown" to cover up your bottom half - it is opened up almost immediately, so what's the point? No modesty in Brazilian waxes -They use soft wax (the kind that you put down a strip of cloth and pull) instead of hard wax (the kind that hardens and get peeled off). My personal preference is hard wax. I got my wax on Tuesday and it is now Thursday. I noticed earlier today that there are patches that were missed by my waxer. Additionally, I am already starting to have some hair growth. This tells me that the hair was pulled out at the surface of the skin instead of the root - which fits, because my aesthetician just laid down the wax, laid down the cloth, and pulled - did not pull the skin taut or anything. And no it's not because I have hair in different stages of growth - that issue is long gone given my years of waxing. A good wax will last at LEAST 10 days before I start to see any hair growth whatsoever - typically it's more like 15-20. Will I come back here? Well, I am going to try other studios in the area first. If I do eventually end up coming back (simply out of convenience), I will probably ask for a different aesthetician to see if she does a better job of removing hair. So overall, yes I got a wax, but...meh. I've experienced better. read more

I've been to Georgi's a few times for a Brazilian and had not settled on a person yet. I've seen Georgi and was a bit traumatized by the pain, sorry Georgi. I've seen a few others but can't remember their names. Last weekend I went for another Brazilian after not going all winter, and was lucky enough to happen to get Anita. She made me very comfortable and relaxed. I'm a little self conscious because I'm a bit chubby these days, but Anita was great. The most important thing in a Brazilian is to find someone who can minimize the pain, which Anita certainly did. My waxing took less than a half hour, another plus. You want it FAST and as PAIN FREE as possible. I paid $55 which seems very reasonable for what they have to do. I plan to increase my visits now that I've found Anita. This will help make it easier as well. read more

I was extremely nervous of the idea of getting my va-jay-jay waxed....the idea just makes you cringe! Fortunately, Anita guided my through the process with a breeze. My wax was just okay. I understand that the more you wax the easier it gets to bare the pain. The pain wasn't so much the issue but the hair that was left over was. I had plenty of hair left over after my "BRAZILIAN" wax. If I go in fir a Brazilian in expecting the whole muff to be buffed. I'm being a little generous with my rating... I've had A TON of bikini/brazilian waxes. I've had good, bad, and absolutely terrible ones. This one was okay-good, Georgi was quick and a very pleasant lady. But something really bugs me about places that ask me to hold my own skin taught as they pull on the fabric strips. That would be the main reason I wouldn't give it a better rating. The place is clean and nice, she also gives a great discount for first time visitors and a discount if you set up your next visit on the spot. She uses soft wax (the kind with the strips) and at the end uses a nifty little want that closes your pores to reduce the risk of infection. I found that I didn't have much irritation afterwards so that was pretty pleasant :) read more

Overall the experience was good for my first time... I got a 30 minute session, however I was done in 20. I would have no complaints about it done early however when the swelling went down I noticed I still had some hairs that could have been plucked using the last 10 minutes of the session. I don't want to be completely negative because it was fast, which is always a plus in waxing sessions. I just think being a new customer they would want to do a better job for me to return. I've been getting waxed for a few years now and have had absolutely amazing experiences and ones that make me cry just thinking about them. I travel for work so sometimes it's hard to keep up on the every 3-4 week schedule. The woman I used to go to was always able to recommend somewhere for me if it was in Michigan or California. When I moved to the area I called her immediately to see where she would recommend and she instantly told me Georgi's. I wouldn't trust a Brazilian with anyone but her after some the incidents I've had with other places. Today will be my third visit and I've seen someone different every time. I see Caitlyn for my waxing needs here and she is fantastic. I can be in and out in less than 15 min for my brazilian with her. I like that she is quick and as painless as it gets. I have had previous waxes where they use like 20 small strips but Caitlyn has it down with minimal pulls. The receptionist is always a little ....aloof here but I have no problems with aloof. I had always contemplated getting a Brazilian Wax to see what all the fuss was about, so I thought what better time than right before a trip to Hawaii? I did a little research on places in the area and decided to make an appointment at Georgi's. The studio is pretty small and inside of an office building, but it was very nice and clean. Amanda had me change into a Velcro towel wrap and lay on the table before she came back in the room. The awkwardness went away pretty quickly, probably because of the excruciating pain that lasted a good 15-20 minutes. Beauty is pain though, and the results were well worth it. read more
