It took many many years for a grocery store to come, so I was pretty excited to come back and see it here. Although the Jericho Market is not exactly what you would find at a "big" grocery store & lacks some of the Vermont charm of local "country stores", it is very different in that it carries all of the typical groceries one would need or might want on a grocery shopping trip, whereas the country stores tend to carry more of what you might just stop and grab on a quick trip. And although the country stores tend to carry more prepared foods, the market carries less prepared items and more of what you would need to make prepared foods. Everyone at the market is super friendly and conversational, never hesitating to help you find what you need. The facility is always clean, well kept, and bright. They carry many types of cheeses, low cost meats, and also have quite the beer and wine selection. They carry many Vermont made and international brands that I have not found in the "big" grocery stores (like hannafords shaws and price chopper) or the country stores. This is really its own unique place serving the surrounding communities with great customer service.

Outside blends in with the town but don't judge this grocer with its cover. They have little of everything and comparable to and at higher quality than WFM. This isn't fancy but authentic goodness! Buffalo Mountain Food-coop has a cafe upstairs but wasn't open due to Covid when we visited. BMFC was busy and had a steady flow of locals and peeps traveling through. Staff are friendly and helpful!! This is one of the few places that wasn't understaffed in VT this season. Prices are a little higher as it's customary in VT. Many local producers' goods seem to be in line with other coop prices but the packaged were slightly higher likely due to logistics and volume. Parking is street and free. Hardwick wasn't busy but parking was tight. If you visit the NE Kingdom, Buffalo Mountain Food Coop is a very good place to find sundries and nourishment. Produce was fresher and was better stocked than Willey's. Enjoy!

I think we left with 1.5lbs of cooked shrimp that looked amazing, even to a non-shrimp cocktail eater. Please stop by this place if you are in Stowe and want amazing fish, steak, or even pollo, that is chicken for you non-Spanish speakers.
