This place is awful. A tow truck driver named Sanchez came to tow my car. Without asking, he opened the back of my trunk and pulled out a tow hook. You would think a tow driver has a tow but no. Anyway, he then put it into my front bumper, knocking the round piece off on the bumper with disregard. He left the tow hook in my front bumper and did not give me the piece to replace when someone takes it out. The next tow company (not Georgetown, thank God.) didn't even need the tow hook when I called Georgetown towing to have Sanchez come back. They disregarded my request though I called multiple times. I even connected with Sanchez and he said he was eating and he would have to call me back. He never did no follow up. What a jerk! And to think I gave this guy a 20 bucks tip. I am disgusted and I will never use this towing company again. Losers! Do not use this tow truck company. There's no follow up and the tow truck driver is a sloppy, inconsiderate person! read more

My scooter was stolen and recovered a few days later. Completely torn up and wouldn't start. My insurance took care of calling towing on my behalf, and Georgtown Towing was the closest towing company available that had equipment for scooters. They arrived within 25 minutes (the estimate was a 45 min wait) and the driver was super competent and nice. He gave me a lift home on the way to the scooter repair shop, too. I called Geico ERS yesterday and scheduled for my car to be picked up this morning at 7am to be delivered to the dealer via a flatbed truck. They assigned my case to Georgetown Towing(GT). I called GT last night at 9pm to confirm they'd be at my house today at 7am and they already had my case in their books and stated we were good to go. This morning at 6:30am I got a call from Rodney stating he'd be at my house in 30 minutes. 20 minutes later he arrived at my house and loaded my whip on the flatbed. Rodney and I rode to the dealer and dude was hella professional and friendly. He told me a few funny stories about some of his previous tows and also his family. This company should Not be in business. My insurance company put a call out for my roadside service and GEORGETOWN TOWING pick up the call. I received a text saying their ETA is 90 mins. Ok, Fast Forward. 2 hours 30 minutes go by. I get another text stating they are delayed 39 minutes. I say, Ok, maybe they ran into traffic. another hour goes by, I decided to give them a call because my 5 year old son is very hot an impatient. I called at 5:48pm the man answers, I give my info and he says a truck is on the way. I asked, Can you get me a roundabout time. He says "You ain't the only one waiting! I could cancel your tow! (Whoa! Where did that come from) I asked, what is your name? He says My name is no importance to you and I'm cancelling your tow. Today I witnessed one of those driver in 295 nearly running TWO CARS OFF THE ROAD. He used no signal and nearly ran a passenger van into the median then almost ran another car clean off the road, just so he could switch 3 lanes quickly to catch an exit. So scary!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I arranged for a tow with them to my dealer for the following morning through my insurance company. A driver woke me up later that night to tell me he was outside. My appointment was for 5am the next morning. I had to call my insurance company so everything could be fixed. I called the tow dispatcher to confirm they knew my appointment was for 5am the next morning. My appointment was set but the dispatcher wanted to know why I didn't just drop my car off that night when the driver showed up. What? Anyways, I called back at the time of my appointment only to be told no vehicles were available. I was confused bc I had made an appointment so how was that possible? Also why did no one call me to tell me that? I was asked if I could do a pick up later that morning. No I have to go to work. Smh. There was no I'm sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. I didn't know that they would send a local company, however, they sent Georgetown towing and my experience couldn't have been better. Sam made the note to call me to receive additional details on how he could help me. He asked for a specific location to ensure I wasn't in the cold winter waiting on him to arrive. He also was extremely pleasant. He stayed with me the entire fix and even introduced me personally to the people who were working on my car. Thank you SAM! Last night, I received the call that late night call that no mother (nor father, I suppose) wants to hear..."Mom, I am in the parking garage and the car won't start!" I was frantic because we were over 40 miles away from our son. Someone gave him and jump and nothing happened. So, we called our insurance carrier to have them help him out. After over an hour, they send a car with a portable battery and unfortunately, neither it nor his car did the trick. (Why my insurance carrier summonsed a car is another issue! We have an Infiniti V6 engine. It cannot be charged with a small vehicle nor "regular AMP cables.) Needless to say, the first company said "Sorry, it sounds like it's your starter and went on about his way, no suggestions, no resolution. Georgetown Towing was the second company my insurance carrier called. We explained that he was in a parking garage and they thought that might be a problem but the never expressed it to Georgetown Towing. When Tim came, he was rather upset that no one shared the fact it was in a garage and that he knew he wouldn't make it in the garage. However, he immediately said at 12:00 AM, "But I'm not going to leave you hanging. I am going to try and see what I can do." Tim went down into the parking garage where he and my son pushed the car out of the garage and onto the street so that it could be towed. UNBELIEVABLE! As a mom, that was MAJOR! You just don't have that kind of Customer Service these days! I am so grateful to Tim and Georgetown Towing for going above and beyond to ensure my vehicle and our son made it home without incident. My insurance company dispatched Georgetown Towing to me with a 90-minute ETA. After waiting patiently for 90 minutes, they were a no-show. I called them, and it was chaos there. I was put on hold, hung up on, and spoke with a young man who I could barely hear and who had people yelling all around him. He said he had no record of my request. I called my insurance company, and they called Georgetown, who said the request had been canceled (it had not). A new request was made with a new 90-minute wait. It's clear they can't really manage their business, and I need to ask my insurance company to take them off the list of towing services. read more

Wow. Just wow. I've never had to deal with such inefficiency with a towing service before. My car broke down in the middle of N Capitol St and I called the absolute closest tow truck I could find to get it off the road in a hurry as there was nowhere off the road I could take it. I had the guy take it to the shop I go to in Alexandria. I've had it towed there before from a similar distance and every other time it's been HALF the price that these guys charged me. But I was desperate so I paid it. When he took it to the shop, the parking lot was full so he left it in front of another store without telling me where it would have surely been towed. Luckily someone at the shop let me know and I was able to have another (far more reliable) tow truck come get it before the city impounded it... then they couldn't find the keys, so I called Georgetown Towing to ask where the driver had left the keys and the exchange went something like this: Me: I was wondering what the driver did with the keys? They can't seem to find them. Him: We don't keep keys. Me: I understand that, but did he leave them under the floor mat, in the exhaust pipe, on one of the tires? Him: we don't keep keys. Me: Yes but where did the driver leave them if he doesn't have them? Him: We don't keep keys! You'll just have to look around for them. We're still looking for the keys. Needless to say I will never be using this service again and I hope this serves as a warning to others. read more

Allstate Roadside Assistance called Georgetown Towing to tow my car. The Tow cost was fully paid to Allstate. The Georgetown Towing driver arrived after 60 minutes and then "extorted" me for additional money to provide the tow service (threatening to take my car off his truck unless I paid him). Repeated calls to Georgetown Towing's office resulted in no assistance and no refund of the "extorted" money paid to the driver. I wasted 30 minutes "negotiating" with the driver and dispatcher standing out in the cold, and eventually paid the money to get my car towed. read more

I called Georgetown Towing to have a car towed from my private parking space. After calling metro police to get the car ticketed as is required, I originally called another towing company but they never showed up. I then called Georgetown Towing and they arrived within an hour. The man arrived to tow the car but notified me that the police had not ticketed the car correctly and they couldn't tow it until that was corrected. After getting the ticket fixed, Georgetown towing returned promptly and towed the car. Communication and customer service were great throughout. Would use again. Thank you! read more

Rather than immediately towing the car like other companies might do, Sammy deduced that it was my battery, hooked up my battery to his truck and started my car. Allowed me to drive to the shop myself to get a replacement saving me both time and money. Perfect service, will definitely use again. read more

Allstate Motorclub dispatch this company to tow my truck when it broke down at work. I informed the dispatcher and driver that due to the location of the parking lot of my job the driver would need to go through a security checkpoint that i have already cleared. The driver(Adam) told me that he didn't want to have to be scrutinized by security nor go through a security checkpoint. I ensured him it wouldn't be a hassle and i would ensure its a smooth process by talking with the guards. He told me he would still come so just stand by. After waiting out in the cold for over an hour the driver finally called and told me he was canceling the job and had already left because his truck could not fit in my parking lot. I asked him why didn't he just call me to let me know he arrived because if his truck didn't fit there was another entrance. He blew me off and told me to call my insurance company or dispatcher so they can send another truck thats smaller. Another truck(2nd) from this company was supposedly dispatched but never arrived. After waiting around over 4hrs i gave up. The next morning another company(A-N-A)towed my truck with the same size truck the driver said couldn't fit . read more
