    Travel case and lighter
    Athena A.

This tobacco shop is well stocked with cigars, cases, lighters, fuel and ashtrays. I've been looking for a travel cigar case and lighter for some time. I found a perfect set; a Brikard & Co. It's pretty dope cause there was a limited amount of cases made in the world; 250 to be exact. I got piece no. 86 It's a nice wood grain with a hold looking top. The lighter is slim which makes great for travel. As a female cigar smoker that's still a novice; I was glad to see a woman that worked here. I was more comfortable being guided by her as she showed me different travel cases. I'll be stopping by every time I'm in the area.

A beautiful shop in old Georgetown. Loved walking in and feeling that nostalgic first breath of the tobacco that made this region famous. I was made to feel welcome and given expert recommendations for cigars that match my preferences. I couldn't ask for more!

I'll be back to share more photos of the true art gallery/historical location that is Georgetown Tobacco but WOW the longest continually operating business in Georgetown is a neighborhood treasure. As a lover of a good cigar my husband and I initially stopped in for our standard, go to stogies but were greeted by the amazing Teresa who walked us through multiple options and the notes behind each. While there she let us know about a few upcoming events the shop was putting on and we've never said yes so quickly. The night of this special cigar tasting and drink pairing event came, and we were escorted upstairs to what may very well be my favorite "office" I've ever seen. The owner, David has compiled what could be a movie sets worth of antiquities and of course cigar themed items surrounded by amazing posters and hanging tobacco. Exposed brick, stained glass, and original windows overlooking a bustling M-Street greeted us for a memorable talk and socializing with other cigar lovers. Getting to meet and connect with David, Teresa, and of course the lovely shop dog Ava (who has her own treats box) was a highlight of our week. Fairly priced, incredibly staffed, steeping with history and full of history- Georgetown Tobacco should be on everyone's list for a must visit in Georgetown. We can't wait to return.

I'm Loving It! The best shop for a dude in Georgetown.

A polished diamond hidden on a quaint little street. The house pipe tobacco is great for a nice summer day. Cigars and pipes is not the surprise, it is all the other guy accessories that makes it cool. Fück your upscale suit shop for tux shirt cufflinks. You need to go here for unique eccentric styles. Marketing, coins, industry specific, air plains, boats, and East India Trading Company is just a small sample. The walking canes are awesome. Perfect for Father's Day. Great fit for every style and need. The silver animal handles are super cool. Make your dude happy and let him go on a small shopping spree. He'll help you buy the gifts for the upcoming year.

Did a check in and was reminded by Yelp to leave a review. Been here numerous times over the years. Good selection and friendly folks.

This was the most fascinating place in Washington DC, and I don't even smoke. I walked by and seen the mask on the shelf behind the glass. I wish I wasn't flying back in or I would of bought so much in this store. The gentlemen in the store gave me a little bit of history regarding his family owned shop. I was so fascinated and amazed I was in an all. If your town, it's a must see. Just down the street from the old stone house.

Every time I'm in a new city with a notable pipe shop, I make a point to check it out. Georgetown Tobacco has everything tobacco-related you'd want, plus merchandise like hats, artfully-done Mardi Gras masks and walking sticks that are there simply because the owner likes them and the people who make them. That's what it means to run an independent business; you get to really curate, and somehow it all hangs together and makes sense. The staff is super friendly. I got to chat with Teresa the Tobacconist, have a pipe with Bob the cigar aficionado and pet the store's adorable dog, Eva. I picked up two house blends: Old Georgetown and Persuasion. It was my first time there, and I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in D.C.

    Cigar dog?! Very cool

Great little cigar shop. I'm not from D.C., just passing thru and I planned out my trip to stop and smoke a stogie at Georgetown Tobacco. Here's what I noticed, D.C. it isn't a real smokers town. You figured back in the day, a bunch of old politicians would want to get together for a smoke. They'd go to a lounge with rich corthinian leather chairs (just go with it), they'd light up a cigar and say lets get that bill passed and load it up with lots of pork. Muahahahah. Hey, I'm just a Bill, yeah I'm only a Bill but guess what? Where I'm from there are cigar "lounges". Places that resemble man caves, loaded with comfy leather chairs and TVs playing sports & news programs. Georgetown Tobacco had a little lounge section with a few wooden chairs & ash trays. It was more of an afterthought to have people smoke their purchase, to kick back and shoot the breeze. However! What they don't have in terms of a lounge, they do have a great selection of cigars for you to purchase as well a place to kick back and smoke. I purchased a nice Ashton Cigar, lit up and walked over to the smoking area. I sit next to a gentleman who was talking about his upcoming vacation. Yeah, we have to stop a day in Long Island and then take a ferry to Orient Point. OMG! I just left Long Island, high fives happen and we smoke and talk. Man Cave! The Staff? Ultra helpful. I asked questions about the different cigars, they have major labels for sale and its always nice to hear another opinion. Once of the guys was from Rhode Island, we start talking about my trip last year. Love Rhode Island! Finally, an older gentleman comes up to me and asks how I'm doing and if I need anything. Nice folks, great prices and a little smoking area.

"You need this cut?" said the tobaccanist. I was in the Humidifier at Georgetown Tobacco and he was selling me a cigar. He recommended something robust. "Something less than five dollars," I said to the man. He selected a stubby black cigar, that looked like it'd already been smoked. My friend Meyers had already purchased his stogue, and had it sealed in a neat see-through bag. "It's a good smoke," the man assured me. "Robusto blend," it said on the label. It smelled robust, more or less. We took a stroll along the canal, Meyers and me, pausing time and again to read those historical plaques and re-light our cigars. Women and children both turned their noses in disgust at the aroma, but I found it to be both robust and woody, with reminiscences of rich mohagany. Let's hope these boys never go out of business....May this place outlast the fall of smoking. I predict that the decline of smoking means the rise of cigars. Will they start a smoking club?

No service , ignored us , spent 300 at Davidus. Avoid this place at all costs. I would never come back to this store.

At the moment, this is the oldest tobacconist shop in the nations's capital and the 3rd oldest continuously operating in the country. I was partly disappointed due to not carrying the cigar I was looking for (La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull) and there is no smoking allowed in the shop. There isn't a walk in humidor but several display cases of stogies throughout the place. A wide variety of pipes, magazines, accessories and tobacco products available. The service was good, prices are competitive and the place is well kept but the landlord needs to allow a smoke in a cigar lounge.

I also wanted to confirm the quality of the lighter I intended to buy, and was met with a pleasant and brief affirmation on the subject. Mind you this is a lighter that I'd wanted since it was originally released as a limited production release in 2013. So to find it at the original asking price as when it was issued, well was ideal, since it's nearly impossible to find anymore in mint condition. Quite the boon to find it.
