I'm extremely late with this review because I've actually been to Nomad on H quite a few times. Anytime I'm looking for a good cigar, this is usually one of the first places I stop. The customer service here is beyond immaculate. I feel bad because I can't remember the owner's name, especially considering how often I've been in there, but he is always extremely pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Every single time I walk into the shop, it's just good energy. Whenever I'm looking for a specific cigar, I always try Nomad first because I really like supporting this shop. They typically have everything I'm looking for, and on the occasions when they don't, the owner has even offered to order it for me. That kind of customer service goes a long way. The owner is also just a good person to talk to. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable about his products, and always willing to help you find what you're looking for. You never feel rushed or like you're just another customer coming through the door. Another thing I really enjoy about the location is that there's a hookah lounge right next door. There have been quite a few times where my lady and I have stopped into Nomad, grabbed our cigars, and then went next door to smoke, have a couple cocktails, and just enjoy the evening. It makes for a really nice, relaxed H Street vibe. I personally go to Nomad specifically for cigars, but they carry a variety of smoke products as well. If you're in the H Street Corridor and looking for a solid cigar or smoke shop with excellent customer service and genuinely good people, I definitely recommend checking them out. Just an all-around great spot that I'm always happy to support. read more

Great selection of flavors and options to spruce your hookah up. The prices were decent as well, which is always a plus.

You do not have to be a person that inhales, smokes, puffs or just for vanity purposes to enjoy a visit to this local smoke shop...the name personally says it all. Mike, behind the counter makes you feel comfortable & welcomed in this friendly atmosphere while he's providing knowledgeable answers to your questions. From a vast selection of Cigars, Hookah, E / Vape apparatuses, Pipes, Tobacco, Candy, accessories & so much more shiny, colorful products, Nomad has it all. The walk in humidor displays shelves & shelves of multiple types of cigars with different prices points. I picked up a Royal Dominicana Cigar - $7.95 for my lovely neighbor who's retired & likes to sit out on his patio with his daily rolled bundle of dried & fermented tobacco leaves. Thank you Mike for the genuine & intuitive service. After visiting Nomad, the one stop shop for all your smoking needs, you can walk next door to their sister company Nomad Hookah Bar. read more

This was possibly the best experience that I've had at a smoke shop. I called to see if they carry a brand of shishah that is difficult to find in this area, but no one answered; however, much to my surprise, I received a call back because they missed my call. This was an indication to the level of customer service that they provide. They carried the shishah I was looking for so I decided to make a stop. I walk in and am immediately greeted by Eli. He's assisting a customer as I look for the shishah but as soon as the customer leaves he gives me his full attention. The customer service gets even better. We're discussing other flavors of the shishah that I'm interested in and because I had never had them, Eli immediately opens the flavors I was interested in allowing me to smell before purchasing. I appreciated this because but many other smoke shops will do this if they don't already have a sample opened. He gave me his honest opinion on flavors and was very friendly and welcoming. Even though the shishah is more expensive than the location I go to in VA, the convenience and customer service made up for it. Eli was extremely helpful and even informed me about some other products in the store that I purchased and some that I will be returning to purchase. This is now my favorite smoke shop and I will definitely return. I highly recommend this location. It's small but they have a lot of quality products. read more

Customer service is always consistent. Additionally the location of Nomad is ideal, easy to get to and the shop stays well stocked with everything from cigars to shisha and whatever you might need for your smoking needs. I shopped prior to the pandemic for cigars as they have an in-store humidor but since purchasing a Hookah while in a stay-at-home posture, I'm thankful for the store Manager, Ely who is always terribly helpful and knowledgeable about everything from coals to keeping your hookah clean to shisha, etc. Ely is welcoming and always makes great suggestions for cigars to suit my palate as well as shisha and I most appreciate that he takes the time to answer all of my questions. I've watched him extend the same level of service to all customers of who he seemingly has great rapport. read more

This review is based on customer service. The customer service i experienced here was awesome! I worked with someone named Omar, and I forgot the other gentleman's name( I think Mike). One of them(again, not sure at the moment) really helped me with my purchase! I was having difficulty to get it working and he was friendly enough to let me come back for a replacement (without a receipt...I don't think they give those). These devices in general are questionable, it was $32 and I'm not sure how long it will last, but I'm hoping to get at least a good month. Lol Thanks again! read more

Really disappointed in how I was just treated at this establishment. I spent over $200 there and got home to find that some $8 pipe cleaner was missing. I paid in cash and wasn't given a receipt. I called the shop the next day and spoke to a gentleman that assured me that they would replace it on my next visit. He took my name and number and promised that I could pick it up with no problems at the desk. So, of course the story completely changed once I arrived to retrieve the missing item. I was treated with disrespect by the staff from the start. The gentleman working at 3:40pm on 1/5 was rude, aggressive and refused the refund or consider my request. His attitude was so negative that I just left. There are MANY other, more friendly and honest shops on H St that will at least honor their word. I highly recommend passing on this one. read more

Excellent selection of products and outstanding customer service. There's a guy named Mike who works here and he is super helpful. The place is well laid out, especially considering how much stuff they have in a small place. Bohemian yet clean and orderly. read more

Fantastic small shop with loads of options and knowledgeable staff! Went in seeking a cigar for a friend who is never smoked one before and the gentleman who helped me on a Friday evening could not have been more helpful. Accessible shop with reasonable prices. Tons of Shisha flavors, but start at $16 a box, which is a bit expensive for the area. read more

This is an amazing shop. Honestly my favorite in all of DC. This shop has everything for vaping and for smoking. Everyone at this shop is so friendly. They go above and beyond. I personally dropped my vape and broke the mouthpiece, so they ordered a box of new pieces just for me. Every-time I go in, I see that I'm the only one who buys them, yet they're accommodating. I can't recommend this shop enough they have amazing prices on everything and they literally have anything you need. If I could give ten stars I would. read more

Real cool. Nice atmosphere. Good prices. Ely helps me as much as possible. Hes very professional and friendly.

Moved to NE DC recently and haven't taken the time to look for a local shop yet to stock up at. I took a chance on this place after yelp research and walked in, was the only customer so plenty of space to distance inside. Ely, the store manager, was at the front and was super helpful and chilled out, found what I was looking for and left with purchase within a couple minutes. Solid shop, well stocked, come check it out. read more

Super chill spot to hang with friends. Glad we discovered it while passing through. Such a nice vibe.

Great staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Small but well curated stock of cigars. Great addition go Hst

Small spot but the guy that assisted me was polite and knowledgeable Plenty of options for single shisha flavors unlike most places that try to sell you a whole box of one flavor. Overall I had a good experience here and will return when I am in the area. read more

Tonight I bought a tank and vapor juice from this store. The associate gave me the wrong concentration, and opened the bottle to fill the tank. When I came back to exchange it for the right kind, he tried to charge me for a whole new bottle! I will never come here again. read more
