A sidewalk continues the walk along the marsh. The boardwalk is best found by locating the Air Evac headquarters across the street. It's a wonderful natural teaching area and birdwatching location--especially for ducks and geese. Though not a long boardwalk it's probably a suitable distance for a busy toddler. The walkway above the marsh is in very good shape and safe for children. Though a larger child might climb over the railings it would be virtually impossible for a small child to work through them. There's plenty to see and point out in the marsh, which has a different character throughout the seasons. A gazebo at the western entrance offers a rest spot. Ramps at either end allow wheelchair accessibility. The marsh is maintained by the MO Department of Conservation while the subdivision maintains the boardwalk. This is not an O'Fallon city park; there are no restroom facilities. There is no designated area for parking.

The park has a walking loop throughout the entire park. The path is paved and easy to navigate. There is also a man made pond with path and bridges. There are three small jetty's if you are interested in catch and release fishing. I've brought my yoga mat on several occasions and enjoyed the peace of the water. The playground area is perfect for kids of all sizes. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. If disc golf is your thing, the course loops throughout the park.

I also like that they have a paved walking area, a covered pavilion, picnic tables and 2 play areas (one in sun, one in a wooded/shaded area). Park development was a partnership between O'Fallon and the MO Department of Conservation. Because of that O'Day offers more natural settings and omits athletic fields. Features: -O'Day Lodge, a rental facility for business conferences and other activities. -Amphitheater for free community concerts and plays. -Adventure playground with unique items like a ropes course, group swings, and climbing logs. -Paved and natural walking and cycling paths. -Picnic pavilions. -Splash pad.
