ABSOLUTELY NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP I recently purchased a used vehicle here and the experience has been awful. The dealership told us that we wouldn't have to service the car for at least 8 months. In reality, within days we discovered a loud squeaking from the wheels and, after checking, learned the front tires had only 3mm of tread left: almost at the legal minimum. This means they knowingly sold us a vehicle that will need new tires within weeks, not months. When I raised the issue, the dealership admitted the tread depth but dismissed it, saying the car had "passed safety," and refused to do anything. Passing the bare minimum safety standard does not equal selling a safe, roadworthy car. This was misleading, unsafe, and shows a complete lack of honesty and accountability. If you value safety, transparency, and trust, do yourself a favor -- never buy a car from this dealership. read more

This has to be the worst experience at a car dealership, and I have been to many. Where do I start? I requested to drive two vehicles, one of the vehicles were of higher value and they turned down my request to test-drive the more expensive one. Are you joking? Their excuse was that they wish to keep the vehicle low km, but let's be real, they just didn't want to take me seriously. They proceeded to ask me over 10 times in a matter of 15 minutes what my budget is and I told them I wish to get the out the door pricing first and we can negotiate pricing from there. They were giving shady answers like "don't you find it confusing to be test driving so many vehicles etc." They refused to negotiate a deal on a vehicle that had not only been in two accidents but had a hole in the base of the car by the gas pedal. They claim they are "haggle-free" for the best customer service yet that literally makes no sense, it just means they refuse to come to a compromise. This is the same dealership that 6 years ago scammed my brother out of $500 by claiming the deposit was a refundable hold on a vehicle yet it took us 2 months and a call from our lawyer to get the money back. Buyers BEWARE. We now have to pay out of pocket over $9700 to get our car road worthy!!! We bought a used car from Georgetown Kai just under 3 weeks ago, and we only got to drive it for 1.5 weeks before it was in the shop!! Our car had a falsely issued safety certificate and an undisclosed existing transmission defect. We had finally got in touch with the owner, Tony Garofoli. But despite providing him with the report and definitive video evidence from an independent 3rd authorized dealership, Tony still failed to take ownership of Kia's mistakes and negligence. We are now over $8600+tax (that's just under $10000!!) out of pocket just to get the car road worthy. We've even offered to pay for all the labour costs as long as Kia is willing to cover the costs of the parts. But the owner still rejected our offer, while showing no signs of remorse. It's simple unethical business practice. There are many other victims telling similar horror stories on Google reviews. Don't be bullied by Georgetown Kia. We all have consumer rights. We have already involved MTO, OMVIC and BBB to investigate. Let's fight back together so no one else will fall victim again. read more

I'd stay far away from this dealership as possible, they're not people you want to have handling your money or future car. If I could give 0 stars I would. In late October of 2023 I was in the market for a Subaru wrx sti. I went mid-week to test drive a 2015 sti that seemed to be a good deal. I ended up putting a $1,000.00 down payment on this car and signed all the necessary documents (including the purchase agreement). The next evening I got a text from the sales associate who was working with me letting me know that I will need a co-signer. I advised him that my parents would co-sign and I'd have their information to him by the end of day on Friday. By late, Friday afternoon I got a text message from the finance manager at the time telling me to call him asap. When I got a chance to call him back, I did and he told me they had sold the car I had just bought. I asked how they could do that and he advised me he was sorry, and that they just got a cash offer. I then asked about my $1,000 dollars and when/if I would get my money back, I was told "I will try my best to find you the same car or of similar value and if not I'll try to get your money back". Two weeks went by and I had no contact with the dealership. I then texted the finance manager that I wanted my money back. A week later I still had no response so I called him (it went straight to voicemail each time). I then called the dealership and was transferred to the manager, I was advised that a cheque was on its way in the mail to me. A month later there was no sight of a cheque in the mail for me. So, once again I called the dealership this time I was transferred to the sales associate who was originally working with me. I was told that he thought this had already been dealt with and that a cheque was already sent to me. I advised him that, that had not happened he apologized and said he would revise this promptly. A month later I contacted the sales associate again and we had an almost identical conversation as the last. It has currently been 4 months since they basically stole the car from me and I have not seen a cheque in the mail or any movement on their part to give me my $1,000 back. These people are thieves and I would strongly advise anybody who is in the market for a car to not go to Georgetown Kia as they have no shame in taking your money! read more

I made a simple mistake: I didn't read the entire contract before signing. That's on me. Had I read the contract, I'd have noticed the $1700 'contract registration fee' (PPSA) attached to the financing. That's more than 10% of the amount I was financing and about $1670 more than the government of Ontario charges the dealer for PPSA. 10% added to the purchase -- imagine that -- and hidden in the fine print. No wonder it took over two hours to buy a $20k car on which I was putting 50% down. So now, to avoid a $1700 fee, I have to pay for the car outright. Fun. Stay away. Stay far away. read more

It is unfortunate that the "Not Good" rating does not go low enough to account for the Customer Service or product satisfaction at Georgetown Kia. The only reason I am using the 1-star rating is because the initial purchasing experience was excellent and then once they got our money it went swiftly downhill from there. We purchased a used vehicle from them and they have not stood by the vehicle since the day of purchase - we have been in possession of the vehicle since February and have driven it on 6 occasions and it has literally "stopped" while driving each time - once in the middle of a busy intersection. The vehicle has now spent more time being diagnosed and repaired at the garage than in our driveway or being driven. We will be in over $4,500 in repairs and without a car for 2 1/2 months and for a frontline working family of 5 it creates a lot of stress and anxiety! We have received NO Customer Service support and the replies that we have received have had to be chased down and even then we get the run around and empty promises of follow up communication. They resold a car that was in disrepair and now they will not stand behind their product that was sold from their dealership. There is no pride in Customer Service at this establishment. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. This has been an ongoing situation that doesn't seem to have an end at this point in time. read more

For anyone that is planning on buying a used car from this dealership. Please read this first.. I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership, and I have brought business by having a family member also a purchase a new Kia Forte from them. However, I just traded in my 2020 Kia Forte EX for a 2020 Honda Civic SI - and it has become the biggest nightmare that I have ever faced. After the second day, every warning light that could possibly pop up, popped up, i experienced limp mode every time I started the vehicle and it was a mess. After the second day of having it, I brought it back to service and was notified that this car was "tuned" which was not to my knowledge prior to purchasing the vehicle. I asked the question specifically before hand if I needed to put premium gas or regular and I was advised i could go with regular. For those of you that don't know.. when a vehicle is performance tuned, it now has to run on premium gas. That is just the first problem, obviously they had no intent in trying to help me remove this "tune". Problem two, after 3 weeks, i start to have issues with over heating and I decide to bring it to a performance honda dealership - I am then notified that this car is "heavily modified" and was pretty much butchered by the previous owner. I then have the car brought back to KIA GEORGETOWN to have this repaired under my warranty - well they were rejected on both warranty claims, and still have tried to finesse me into covering some costs of the repairs. I have not had my vehicle in almost 7 weeks now, and It is still not repaired. They've notified me that I can go into a new kia at either the same amount or higher monthly if I choose.. This was their responsibility, they should have been truthful and honest with the vehicle because it was not sold "AS IS" - and all they have to say is it is just "bad luck" I am sorry but there is no such thing. The cost for repair should have been covered by the dealership and also If I choose to, I should get every cent i paid back and be put into something of equal of my last vehicle (which they sold for profit).. Be very weary when coming to this dealership, DO NOT go into a used vehicle as it is clear they do not care to check these vehicles when they accept them as trade in, their certification is a joke and they will still find a way to give you a hard time. I pray no one has to go through what I am going through right now. It is shameful and clearly unethical. Everything I have stated was also confirmed by OMVIC. Originally I did not shed a good light whatsoever on the above dealership because there were many things that Nick Chopra has done but did not hold himself accountable for. Originally part of my review is as follows: A year has passed and we are contacted by Nick Chopra to come in and to give them another chance. My husband being a nice and forgiving man that he is, agrees much to my reluctance. We ended up with a Dodge Durango and although pricing was not too bad, the promise of a certain low interest rate was not given but still my husband agreed to the new terms. The day of picking up this vehicle: A) Gas tank again not filled B) Detailing of the vehicle again not up to par C) Smell of vehicle....well let's just say we didn't get that new car smell at all D) Back lights were out and did not work E) Accumulation of water and condensation build up in where the back lights are It was brought to Nick Chopra's attention a month (we had gone away on a family trip) after the fact with pictures and we keep getting excuses upon excuses. The last time I had messaged him was June 27, 2018, to date we still have not received any sort of answer. This how unreliable the above dealership is. They want your money (their commission) and then they run. TO DATE: I would like to omit my "avoid at all cost" message and state that Sandra Marchetti was the person that had come through to "make things right" and to at least regain our confinedence in them. Sandra had held themselves accountable for Nick's mistake and had arranged for the following: 1) Racetrack light to be replaced and fixed 2) Gas tank to be filled 3) Complete vehicle detail And although all this had taken some time, at least it is completed, we appreciate it and we can move on from this. I bought four cars from this dealership all four cars had some sort of unethical sales practice. i e change of interest rate a warranty you are told you have to have in order to get a loan both on the drive train and the loan its self.Change up on the agreed to price of a trade in.Threatening intent by the Manager if you have any problem with the unethical sales practices that are done at Georgetown KIA.Really bad experience when you go to sign the contract after they all ready have your ten percent deposit.Avoid this car lot at all costs. read more

Terrible experience. Georgetown Kia screwed me out of $1,300. They tricked me by telling me my payment for my financing would be $100 and that to get rust proofing it would only cost me $4 more. Looks like they "miscalculated" because when I got home and did the math turns out my monthly payment should have only been $87.00. So when I was agreeing to a monthly payment of $104, I was actually paying $17 extra dollars a month. That means that instead of the rust proofing costing me around $500, it was in fact $1800. Not to mention the $600 extra fee for their financing that they never mentioned. Will never shop at this dealership again. Will be telling all my family and friends this story. Buyer beware. Hello, I purchased an Acura 2008 Rdx from Georgetown KIA in March 2011. During the inspection walk around, I pointed out the tires have to be changed, otherwise all was good. During the signing of the purchase, I again pointed out the tires have to be changed both the sales person and sales manager ensured me I have absolutely nothing to be concern about and everything would be taken care of. During the negotiations, I put in my set of Michelin snow tires and rims from my trade in to lower the purchased price. They were used for two seasons and were practically new. Since I was getting new tires and would put my savings into a new set of snow tires for the Acura. When we picked up the car, the sales person pointed out right away, we got you new tires. Since he told me the tires were new, I checked if they were Michelins and they were. I thought to myself these guys were a class act and replaced the old tires with the original brand. We brought the car to our mechanic for our first 5k oil change and he pointed out to us we needed new tires. Kia inspected the tires the two front tires are down to the wear bars and rear two were in better shape. Kia responded to my concerns with: a. I just started working here and didn't know we have a no new tire exchange policy. b. The tires are new but it means new used tires. (Didn't tell you see item a.) c. You should have brought up this concern when you picked up the vehicle, now we cannot help you. (Didn't tell you see item b.) The difficulty of responding to all of the above was I thought the sales people were trained and could be trusted to let me know the truth. If I knew about the policy at anytime I could have negotiated the sales price differently or not at all. Furthermore, the car was delivered dirty because there was a mix up with the detailer. My wife spent day in Georgetown, because she had to drive the car back to Georgetown from Mississauga for the detailing. My wonderful experience with Car Nation went from a satisfied professional one to one leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I now have to purchase two sets of tires for a car I just purchased because it was my fault that I didn't know the company's purchasing policies. Least to say, not impressed. read more

Went in for an oil change and winter tires put on. Technicians found a coolant leak .Part for repair not in stock. Car had to stay there. Left me stranded there with no ride home.I ask the man at the counter how I'm I supposed to get home?His reply was I don't know. I live 25km from the dealer. I asked if I can get a ride home. His reply no one here can do it your to far.Everytime I go to this dealer it's always something. Never again will I go to that dealer. If i could rate this place zero stars i would. I picked up a car from Georgetown Kia Used Car Superstore location 199 Guleph Street, on November 26th, 2018 at 8:20pm. Blake Malin was the sale rep who helped. The car is a Midnight blue 2013 hyundai sonata, with bi-weekly payments of $ 214. On December 1st, 2018 at 3:18pm I was driving on highway 401 going westbound. When the engine started making a loud knocking sound. Upon braking and putting the car in park i was thrown against the steering wheel and I'm in my first trimester of pregnancy. Now the dealership toe the car to Hyundai who said there was recall on the engine. Now this dealership is giving me the run around about putting me a rental saying it's Hyundai's problem. No one is contacting me everyone is being shady. I will never go back in buisness with these people nor would I suggest anyone to. My sales rep was blake( he's cool but works for shit establishment) and his boss Nick gives people the run around for a living. read more
