FROM THE DESK OF JEFF STALLER HIGH IMPACT SERVICES To Any Potential Customers of Rabee and Shine Auto: That Moment You Decide You're Going To Buy a Used Car We all know that looking for a used car means time, money and effort . . . and there is always the fear in the back of our minds of 'getting taken' or paying too much. Well, I had these exact same concerns when my daughter Jenna asked me to help her find her first car (and might I say, that this was the first time I had ever looked for a car, where one of the main criteria was, "It had to be cute.") And so, with those instructions, I was getting ready for a 1 month to 2 month search, which would no doubt require us to go to multiple dealerships, test drive multiple cars and go through a series of negotiations . . . to make the best deal possible. The Start Of The Long Road To Buy A Used Car . . . As I began my search, I VERY FORTUNATELY came across Shine Automotive right away, advertising a 2009 convertible VW Beetle with only $90,000 kms . . . at a very reasonable price! I called up and had the distinct pleasure of speaking with Rabee, the Owner of Shine Autos. Right off the bat, something was different about this guy. The sincerity with which he spoke about his business (a family business that been around for over 20 years) and honesty with which he spoke about the car itself . . . Rabee won me over almost immediately. And allow me to say that I've been an HR Interviewer and Human Relations Specialist for over 25 years and have a bit of experience, when it comes to 'reading people'. Rabee was very Genuine, Very Sincere and Somehow Very Trustworthy . . . 'Right Off The Bat!' Proof of Rabee's Sincerity! Please Count With Me The Number of Times Rabee EXCEEDED Our Expectations: 1 Before we went to Shine Auto Finding the right car at the right price: Rabee priced the vehicle reasonably right away! 2 Before we went to Shine Auto Finding someone we could trust: Rabee was very genuine and honest over the phone 3 Before we went to Shine Auto Tear in Convertible top: Rabee let us know about this upfront and sent us several pictures of what it was all about before we decided to come (he didn't try to hide anything) 4 When we were at Shine Auto 1. Tear in the convertible top 2. Scratch in driver side window 3. Vanity flap inside the convertible roof did not go down 4. Break lights did not work Rabee promised to address all of these issues and fill up the gas tank since we had driven to Etobicoke from Kitchener 5 When we were at Shine Auto Safety was included in the price of the car! 6 After Paying The Deposit Only at this time did Rabee tell us that several people had already tried to buy the car because he did not want to put extra 'pressure on us' during the sale! 7 After (Paying The Deposit) Rabee said he would pick up license plates for us 8 After we were at Shine Auto and before we paid for the car in full Part required to get the brake lights to come on: As it was a long weekend, Rabee made a special trip to pick up the part needed to make the brake lights work and in doing so, got the car to us 2 days SOONER than promised! 9 After we were at Shine Auto and before we paid for the car in full Tear in the convertible top: Rabee drove from Etobicoke to Scarborough to meet with a superior craftsman. This person was an individual who was currently working on someone's Ferrari! Rabee took time to discuss the repair with the professional and it was decided that the roof needed not only to be stitched BUT a patch put in place (to keep out water). In a further conversation much thought given to the fact that this was a convertible top and any patch that was put on, would need to be able to move with the top as it went down. 10 After we were at Shine Auto and before we paid for the car in full The broken piece (due to design flaw) affecting the inside roof vanity flap: Rabee researched the issue and the different ways to fix the part. He initially decided to make the repair with a special kind of silicon. (Rabee was upfront and said, given the nature of the break, this repair may not hold for the long term) The broken part (held on by a rivet) was instead drilled out and a new piece was connected ensuring a longer lasting fix! 11 Picking Up The Car at Shine Auto Convertible top Patch: Patch looked great and was even more matched to the colour of the roof than in the picture showed 12 Picking Up The Car at Shine Auto Convertible top Patch: Rabee gave us a 6-month warranty on the patch 13 Picking Up The Car at Shine Auto Scratch in driver's side window: Rabee said that 50% of the window scratch in the Driver Side window would come out . . . but he managed to make the scratch VIRTUALLY DISAPPEAR! 14 Picking Up The Car at Shine Auto Rabee power washed the car, detailed the interior with McGuire's Leather protector and put protection cleaner on the dashboard. I was shopping for a car and saw a loaded '12 Ford Focus which these guys had for sale which was being sold at the very attractive price. I decided to make the trip and definitely did not expect much at this price point. The dealership did not look like anything special from the outside, but things quickly changed once I walked in. I was greeted by a gentleman named Alex which quickly grabbed the keys and walked me to the vehicle, even though the car had quite a few kilometers on it, it was absolutely spotless both inside and out, we had agreed on a price and went on a test drive immediately. The car performed great, I was assured that the car will be thoroughly checked by a mechanic before It is sold to me to make sure everything is in order. I was so impressed with the car I left a deposit to avoid missing it, came back the next day after 2pm and was quite impressed when I was told that the mechanic already took a look at the vehicle and the only thing which needed fixed was an oil change which was taken care of. I paid the remaining balance and literally drove off the lot 2 hours after! Very impressed by these guys, especially Alex whom I dealt with, never pressured at any point, straight to the point answers, good prices (I bought a 5 y.o car which originally cost over $24,000 new for just a fraction of that cost!) Exceptional buying experience! My experience with Shine Autos was nothing but exceptional! I was fortunate to deal with Rabee, who was quite friendly, knowledgeable and honest to the core. (The traits hard to find among used car salesmen these days!) My encounters with auto sales persons have been trying in the past. All those preconceived notions were dispelled while dealing with Rabee. I bought a 2012 Lexus CT200 from Shine Autos. Over the last 5 years I have purchased a total of 2 vehicles and my brother has also purchased a vehicle from shine autos and I simply can't explain how amazing these guys are. Some places the after purchase service is like you are dealing with a totally different person but with shine autos they are very straightforward. There is no games or tricks here, Out of the 3 transactions we had with shine autos the only issue that was resolved immediately with no questions asked. My other experiences with independent car dealerships is that you have to put up a fight to get anything fixed after you took delivery of the car but that's not the case with these guys. Out of the 3 places I visited before coming to shine autos it felt like night and day. These guys are honest, professional and don't waste time.
