Eric Erickson at ( First Eastern Mortgage ---…read morehttps://eerickson-firsteasternlo.mortgagewebcenter.com/) was great to work with and extremely helpful to get my mortgage for the home refinancing. In 2010, I bought a house with a help from Eric's co-worker. In January, 2013, the co-worker recommended Eric to me for the re-financing. In 2014 January, before I contacted Eric, I shopped 6-7 mortgage companies and banks including Eric. Eric gave me a great rate and opportunities to pay off my debt with the re-financing options, and he kept all the verbal/written contracts which he promised through the closing date. After the appraisal of my house, Eric gave me better options, and I was/am so happy working with Eric for the mortgage process. During the process, I never lost the trust on him as he always made sure to help me find exactly what I need, and explained everything I want to understand, and he always replied my emails in 5 -10min. At the beginning of the process, I felt Eric is a very honest person, and he confirmed it during the process and through to the day of closing. Eric assigned an attorney near my house (5 min drive) for the closing, and the attorney also treated me as a VIP, like a good friend of Eric. The attorney ( Kriss Law/Atlantic Closing & Escrow at Newton, MA, www.kisslawatlantic.com) also worked well, and all the closing process went well and smooth. Eric Erickson was highly professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and fantastic to work with the mortgage financing. As you see my name, English is my second-language. Eric always explained all the process in easy and he is very well with this diverse client. I spend my time to write this sentences to thank to Eric for everything he did for me and my family. Thank you so much, Eric!!! From C. Kim

After 2 days of being late, they'll call you 10x a day until you pay. Now I've only been late 2x. Once was by a few days, the other by a few weeks. Things happen, but don't expect them to understand. They once applied my payment to the wrong account and charged me a late fee. Move on, and find another bank. It's not worth the stress. I'm so glad I'm out of there.

I've been a customer at The Savings Bank in downtown Andover, MA for over 4 years. From the first…read moreday I entered that establishment, I've never been treated less than a VIP. I love how they eagle watch my checking account, always on the alert for suspicious activity and immediately notifying me when there is such activity. I've used all types of financial institutions during my life time, I've never had such a comforting sense of individualized and personal customer care from any bank I've ever used. The staff at this bank just knows how to make you feel like you're part of their family. Always offering great advice on handling your personal finances and expediently delivering on everything they commit to. It's a small, privately run establishment but, like they say, big things do come in small packages. And here's a true testament to that: Just 9 days ago, I lost my pride and joy pup, Riley, to a hit and run driver. We had just gotten back from a 1/2 day in the woods playing all kinds of fun doggy games. In an instant he was taken from me. Since Riley was 9 weeks old, he use to go to The Savings Bank with me whenever I was making bank deposits. He just loved everyone there because they were all over him, spoiling him with tasty treats and lots of praises. When they all heard about Riley's demise, each and every one of them stopped what they were doing and came to me to console me with heartfelt sympathy and genuine empathy only found in the deepest of kind souls. Exactly 8 days later, I received the most beautiful sympathy card signed by the entire staff at TSB. I was in tears over how sincere this thoughtful sentiment was. I must mention the main people who make this operation the best bank in town. Starting from the top, Maria, the branch manager, who has professionally and watchfully guided me out of potentially financial devastation. She's real, she's honest, and she's down to earth. Love her! Then there's Elizabeth, the Accounts manager. The same as Maria, sincere, sweet, and genuinely concerned about the welfare and security of your account(s). I recently had the privilege of running into Elizabeth and her awesome beau at a restaurant. We all sat together and enjoyed great memories of Riley and shared many wonderful personal stories. A great bonding experience! There's a gentleman there named Matt B. This guy can light up a stadium with his warm, genuine personality. Matt is never anything but right-on with his professionalism, compliments, impeccable manners, and jovial disposition. He runs deep and, for a young guy in his early 20's, exhibits great promise for a very bright future. The teller, Despenza (hope I spelled that right!), is yet another teller who is spot on with superb customer service. Sweet, loving, and down-to-earth, just like they all are. All the other employees there always smile at me and wave from a distance. That's just how they all run, and it's awesomely warming to go there on a weekly basis. Not being a big corporate bank has a lot of merit. You might give up a few perks the big banks offer but, in return, you get the best attention to your financial needs on a very personal level, they never treat you like just a number , they work with you, not against you, and, the most important, they're always watching your back, and you can't help but notice the pride they take in doing so. I can't say enough good about them. I just hope I don't lose a one of them to another financial institution because they're so darn good at what they do. Love you guys!!!

They matched me with United Wholesale Group and told me that the mortgage would be sold BEFORE the first payment was made... Well, it was sold by United Wholesale Group to a subsidiary of theirs Shore Mortgage. Look up Shore Mortgage, I think my 7 year old could design a better, more complex and secure website and they charge you $7.50/mo to make a payment on the internet unless you fill out paperwork for withdrawals the same date each day of the month. I have left many messages with Shore demanding the loan be sold to a "real institution" and I have not had any resolution as of yet. The closing attorney was supposed to HOLD the check for 3 business days, rescind clause in New Hampshire but deposited the check the same day as the closing. Calls to his office, 2 of them to figure out what was going on were surprisingly never returned. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
