It was also nice to not have a dentist trying to push lots of extras and services on me that I didn't want - like he evaluated the alignment of my teeth, perceived that I'd had braces in the past and possibly a retainer, and while giving me an honest assessment of how my top teeth are more evenly aligned than my bottom teeth, he didn't make a fuss about trying to convince me to get another retainer (as other dentists have tried to do). Honest, thorough, and not pushy - hard to find all of those qualities in a single dental practitioner these days. Dr. Davoudian did my tooth cleaning himself, and his dental assistant Mickey, who is also lovely and a total riot, did my x-rays. I wish I'd caught the name of the receptionist too, because she was also wonderful, really thorough, personable and helpful, and I'd like to give her proper recognition. But I will next time! This was ine of my most pleasant and EFFICIENT dental visits in years, so I am actually looking forward to my follow-up in 6 months!

They aren't pushy here. Everyone was very nice, and I was in and out in less than an hour, having gotten a cleaning, X-rays, and consultation. The cleaning in particular went fast and painless. I've been to dentists where a routine cleaning feels like being put in the torture chair, but that definitely wasn't the case here. The woman was very nice, considerate, gave good tips on how to improve my brushing, and it was over before I knew it. I usually dread going to the dentist, but I think I'll like it much better here.

They use the most updated and modern technology that makes yearly cleanings much easier. And the view from the exam chairs is so beautiful too! His wife, Cindy, now also offers various skin care services in the office - and she is amazing! Her facials and microderm services are my favorite in the area, and so reasonably priced for the city! His friendly demeanor and humor put me at ease during what has been such a stressful experience in the past. I commented about the financial burden I'm experiencing and he made it a point at each interaction to ensure I would get a proper quote before moving further. The x ray technician and hygienist were kind, thorough, and made the cleaning as painless as possible. When it came time for recommendations that put my past what insurance would cover, Dr. Ross came back to see me multiple times as I weighed my decisions. I have never had a dentist office treat me with such compassion and care, and I will absolutely be telling my friends and coworkers about this experience.

The cleanings are thorough, they are good at finding problems that need to be addressed, they do a good job of keeping an eye on dental problems longitudinally, and they communicate their treatment recommendations in a very reasonable way. They use high-res cameras to photograph and track the progress of tooth lesions over time. They do not over-treat or over-charge. As a nice little plus, the toothbrushes you get at your biannual visits (along with floss, toothpaste and mouthwash) are actually quite nice.

When I scheduled the appointment, the front desk staff showed me an itemized bill for the fillings, including what my insurance would cover and what would be out-of-pocket costs. This was towards the end of 2025. The out-of-pocket costs were just over the remaining amount in my FSA, so I scheduled the procedure for the end of year. I was very happy with the fillings and paid my outstanding bill. A month later, I receive a notification for a bill over $500. Confused, I reviewed the services listed in my online portal and saw that all were listed as paid. I called the Brandywine office and was told that my insurance had not covered as much as they expected, despite Brandywine providing an itemized bill when I scheduled the service, and the cost for the error was now being passed on to me. They offered me a 12% discount, implying that this made up for their error. The most infuriating part is that if they had let me know up front that the itemized bill was just an estimate or that they were unsure about how much my insurance would cover, I could have delayed the fillings by 2 weeks and used my 2026 FSA to cover all of the costs. Instead, I ended up stuck with a surprise bill and minimal compassion about its impact. While I was happy with the dentist and dental hygienist, I am so put off by and frustrated with the front desk staff that I will not be returning. And based on many of the reviews, this sounds like common practice. Beware!

They hit my teeth with some crazy sonic water spray thing before the scraping and the scraping went oh-so-much-better! I also got good, non-pressury advice about some orthodontic treatment I'll need and friendly advice about wearing braces as an adult. (Yes, I'm getting braces...just call me Ugly Betty!) Every single person there is friendly and professional, and the appointments run on time - you aren't abandoned in the waiting room or in the chair for 20 minutes at a time. I'm so thrilled with this dentist and have been referring everyone. The only downside is that it will now probably take me two months to get an appointment!

Although I understand he specializes in cosmetic dentistry, I've never gotten any hard sell or pressure about cosmetic procedures-- even though I could use some; the only time it's ever come up is when I've mentioned it. Two sealants took less than 20 minutes -- including him making adjustments to ensure my comfort as well as the sealants' durability. At no point did I feel like he was rushing. Leanne, the receptionist, is organized, warm, and communicative. As the first face that I've seen, she has really set the tone for the high quality experience I've gotten both times with Dr. Elder.
