Has become a place to go in Kirkland for old fashioned breakfast that's non pretentious. I like to go here myself, just taking a walk, and order basic breakfast. Service is pretty quick and I usually get a table.

Mamma's Baklava Pancakes

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place already! This spot is an absolute stand out in downtown Kirkland. I've been here for breakfast more often than I can remember (2-3 times a month going back to 2022), and I've always come away happy. I usually get the Keto plate or one of the omelets, but enjoy this picture I took of the baklava pancakes! For dinner, I've had both their gyro and their smash burger and loved them. It's worth pointing out also that their french fries are possibly the best you'll get at any spot in the area. If all of that weren't enough, their staff are delightful and charming!

Highly recommended. This is a great place for breakfast. Love the ambiance. Service is 5/5. Food is 5/5 and there is parking in front of building if you arrive early. There is a pay parking around the corner. Loved the breakfast I had for my birthday . Totally amazing, so much food . Love the coffee, I ordered a fiesta omelette with sour dough bread. Everything was amazing. I will be back for sure. They have a bar and happy hour I think I saw on the menu. Prices very reasonable. Overall rating 5/5 no issues everything excellent!

Greek Hash

Uncertain of what we wanted for lunch, we stumbled upon George's in Kirkland. As we walked by and saw that it was busy and plates were empty were indicators we should go in. We were not disappointed. Hubby and I family styled the pot roast melt with crispy tots and the Greek hash. Both were delicious and we both agreed the pot roast melt was our favorite because of the tender beef that was melt in your mouth delicious! Hubby also appreciated that the French roll that it was served on did not cut the roof of his mouth. The caramelized onions were a little underdone and on the crunchy side. We were seated right away, food came quickly and we were outta there in time for our next stop. Service was friendly and our water glasses were always filled. George's has a vast menu - there is something for everyone. It's a great spot for breakfast, brunch/lunch and is family friendly. Parking was not an issue on a Saturday afternoon.

Baklava Pancakes

Stopped by this place for weekday brunch after an early morning errand. This place has a cute vintage vibe to it, with tables & booths with a bar seating area as well! The service was wonderful, the staff were kind and efficient and let us hang out for a bit after we finished eating, which was nice as it let us catch up a bit. It seemed that there were many Greek food influence in their menu yet some typical popular choices as well. I went with the baklava pancakes as it sounded good & i haven't had pancakes or a baklava in awhile :) Some of the other dishes chosen were the greek omelette and the chorizo benedict; both seemed to be well received too! I would definitely come out again & hope to soon!

This place is amazing every time! Got the meat lover's scramble and it was a great portion size and delicious. The caramelized onions were a great touch. Service was a little slow, but it was also packed!

The food here is pretty good, but it's noisy and crowded. It's a nice enough place to stop after walking the waterfront.

Old Mediterranean Kitchen - Falafel Lunch

3 decades of loyal dining at the Old Mediterranean proves how amazing the food is here…read more OK, when I need a blast of garlic throughout my body the Mediterranean Kitchen is my pit stop... A friendly greeting as I walk into the establishment which is always welcome. A bowl of hot soup comes quickly after taking a seat... Pondering through the menu which I know by heart I order either the Shish Tawook, which is charbroiled tenderized chicken served over rice with a garlic sauce, YUM. However if that's not grabbing me I get the Kafta Kabob served over Yellow Rice, Hummus, Salad and Pita Bread to scoop up all those flavors. Occasionally I have the best of all world plate which is The Combination Plate featuring the Kabob Kafta kabob, Shish Tawook and lamb kabob charbroiled with tomatoes and onions. Now if that does not excite you nothing will... The place can get a rocking loud cause it's not huge but it has all the comforts of a big loud family meal. Parking is limited so be patient but the food is worth it 1000%.... And bring some mints cause it's a garlic night out...

The stars on this place is spot on!…read more Man it was so close to perfect. First the service is really good. I think the owner honestly loves the food that gets served and that translate to really good food. I was amazed at the flavor profile. I loved the vibrant taste and extravagant use of garlic in al the dishes. We even brought our 1 year old here and she loved a lot of the food even some of the more flavorful ones. I think I can echo that some of the grilled meat can be a little dry or rough. I do think that might just be the cut of meat that is used and maybe that's how it might taste? But I have faith that with some different meat cuts those can come out a lot juicier. Even at 4 stars, I do suggest anyone reading this to go check this place out. Its definitely a party of flavors.

We were seated right away and shared The King's Platter. Portions were HUGE and delicious, I regret eating it all in one sitting because I was still craving it the next day. I loved that we casually came in, but it was still an immersive experience - it was my first time having the sheets, mint, and butter as fixings. Not a scrap of food left between my fiancé and I. On top of that, the cook was super speedy and also was showing off his vocals. It was a vibe.

The flavor, the seasoning, the tenderness, the freshness, it's consistently perfect. That kind of consistency is rare and shows how much care and pride they put into their kitchen. If I had to drive two hours just to eat here, I would do it without hesitation. That's how good it is. Amazing food, incredible service, and an authentic experience every time. Padria: Where Old Family Recipes Meet Modern Kirkland…read more At Padria in Juanita Village, every dish is a taste of legacy. This family-run restaurant is built on a foundation of old family recipes, passed down through generations and now shared with the Pacific Northwest. They honor this heritage by masterfully blending Mediterranean influences with authentic Iranian culinary traditions, using refined techniques to elevate time-tested favorites. The Food: A Taste of Tradition For a perfect light dinner that bridges both worlds, order the Chicken Kabob (marinated the Persian way with saffron) served over their bright Greek Salad instead of rice. It's heritage on a plate. For the classics that taste of history, don't miss the fall-apart Lamb Shank or the deeply aromatic Ghormeh Sabzi stew--a recipe that defines Persian home cooking. The comforting Red Lentil Soup, savory Turkish Koofteh, and homestyle Chicken Loobia each tell their own delicious story. Why It Stands Out Here, cooking is an act of preservation. The owners work alongside their chefs, applying care and modern precision to those old family recipes. They use premium ingredients and authentic spices--saffron, turmeric, foraged herbs--not just for flavor, but as a tribute to their roots. For a meal that connects you to generations of culinary history, served with genuine warmth in a cozy, music-filled space, Padria is more than a restaurant--it's a family table you're invited to share. Highest praise for keeping tradition alive, bite after unforgettable bite.

We were in Kirkland overnight on Easter for an early surgical appointment on Monday. After walking…read morearound to stretch our legs from the drive we ducked into Zeitoon Grill House for some Persian cuisine. Based on decor I wondered if it had been a pub or steakhouse once in its life: lots of paneled and coffered wood, chandeliers, and wooden booths with coat hangers. We started with the baba ghanouj and ordered the fesenjan and a beef kobideh for meals. The meals came with a salad to share rather than small individual salads on the plate which was a nice touch. The staff was able to provide some veggies with the baba ghanouj since my partner in crime can't have bread. The baba ghanouj was great - exactly the smoky eggplant flavor I was craving when I saw the sign for Persian cuisine. The kobideh was nice and tender - you could taste the onion. The fesenjan was also extremely good. One question: Who eats this much rice in one dish? The rice was very good - but it is a lot of rice. I haven't had Persian like this since we had Persian neighbors who invited us over.

Zeitoon opened in downtown Kirkland many years ago, replacing the Central 21 Steakhouse. Much of…read morethe interior still has the original dark room steakhouse décor. The center area hosted a huge group with multiple tables pushed together. I have avoided Zeitoon all these years because they are higher cost, not necessarily justifiable since there are lower cost Persian foods or similar Mediterranean restaurants in the area. I finally decided to try them. Our server answered my questions, including his favorites. Two questionable/sketchy things happened: 1. Our server recommended the Mirza Ghasemi, which he said is great with the optional soft-boiled egg. Sounds good. We ordered it. The optional egg is $2, which is not identified on the menu. (See photo) 2. When he recommended the Mirza Ghasemi, we asked him to remove the Mast O Khiar which we initially chose. I said we only want one appetizer. He nodded and said OK. When the Mirza Ghasemi arrived, so did the Mast O Khiar. They put both on the table and immediately left. I flagged the original server to remind him we said to remove it, but a different person showed up instead. He: "You want to cancel this? No problem." and took the yogurt away. I did not order this; it is not me canceling. Minus 0.5 stars from overall rating. The Food: Mirza Ghasemi + egg, $14 +$2 - 2.5 Stars This eggplant dish is the one recommended by our server. We do enjoy eggplant dips, especially warm versions. The optional "soft boiled egg" is not an American version but tiny threads of yellow egg bits mixed within the eggplant mixture. Honestly, we cannot taste the egg. It is borderline a scam. This dish would be 3.5 stars if it was $14 at the menu price, which is already on the high side. A $16 eggplant dish is delusional. Lamb Shishlik Kebab, $36 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Lamb rack marinated and chargrilled (see menu photo) I knew I would not see a rack of lamb on my plate. I got four lamb chops. Meat quality wise, this is excellent. It comes with a ton of basmati rice and a salad with a refreshing light dressing. This is a bit spendy for the quantity of meat, but taste is good. Soltani Shishlik, $42 - 3.5 Stars This is the exact same dish as above except add a skewer of grounded beef kebab. This kebab, and I quote my hubby, is "not that good". Same comment for the rest of the dish. A basket of lavash bread arrived at the table. I believe it came with the Mirza Ghasemi. We have eaten many lavash breads, commonly used as wrap so it is grilled and/or heat-pressed with oil on the surface. These lavash breads are simply warmed. I learned they taste terrible that way. The surface has a sandpaper texture and still taste like sandpaper when eating it. If I paid for this separately, I would be upset.
