Over the top service!! I was in a pinch and they came through for me on my daughter's 20th birthday! They made her day & my day alike. My daughter was ecstatic to get the flowers & cupcakes. Smiles all the way around. Thanks a million! read more

I purchased through Teleflora the Spring Bloom Basket for my Mothers 83rd Birthday at the cost of $79.17 what I received was horrific. The basket was frayed with broken areas and was suppose to be oblong and yet it was a light colored round basket with the handle facing the wrong direction, the flowers were so sparse you could place your hand throughout the open areas, the back was completely void of flowers which my palm could be placed in the space of emptiness. The arrangement looked absolutely NOTHING like the photo with many of the flowers already wilted, dark and dying. There was to be a purple butterfly atop of the flowers as if to appear in flight and yet it had a pink butterfly glued to the handle down low in the very front of the basket. It was just ugly. I will indeed add pics of what I ordered and what I received and let you be the judge, but I will say this...I wouldn't order from George Thomas ever again after this, also they were to get back to me and did not, as of yet anyway. I ordered a premium arrangement and received something that looked sad and maybe the cost of $25. The basket looked warped, old and used. I'm still waiting to hear back from someone. This is incredible!!! read more

What could have been another unremarkable bouquet turned out to be a beautiful piece of Art, we appreciate the Artistry and Creativity that went into creating our floral arrangement! Thank you, George Thomas Florist! Five Stars. read more

I've never bought flowers from here, but I stopped in during the Irvington Art Walk and they were really friendly...all smiles. They invited us to go back into the workshop area to view some of the arrangements they were working on, and their large glass walk-in fridge is up front where you can see all the flowers. I've always thought florists were kind of secretive (one of the many ways I'm weird), and I appreciate the open-ness here. We left with a business card and were told about their happy hour: during the last hour they're open each day (4:30-5:30pm), all stems are half-off. I might have to stop and get some purple orchids for my dining table this week! read more

George Thomas Florist - 1/2 price stems 4:30-5:30 daily! - Florists Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

I really like this flower shop and need to get my butt over there more often - you should too! Their roses last forever - love it! The owners are really nice and seemed psyched to get involved with the Irvington community in their new location. read more

Working on the Eastside of Indy, I've received b-e-a-utiful arrangements from George Thomas on birthdays or "just because" occasions. All have been vibrant and ever-so lovely. Now, if I have a reason to give someone flowers, George Thomas is the first place I visit. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable (even with the delivery charge), and the arrangements bring smiles to everyone's face. It's a win-win-WIN situation for me! read more

Used this florist for giving both far and near I have never been disappointed. In fact, I'm placing another order now before they close.

They did an amazing job for our wedding. Would highly recommend and my flowers were more than I could have dreamed!! They held up wonderfully for my outdoor wedding. Mel was awesome to work with and she was very transparent about her pricing. read more

Don Bryant was our stylist for our wedding and it was perfect! Great value, gave us exactly what we asked for -captured our vision perfectly. We couldn't have been happier. We highly recommend this florist. We wanted some locally sourced flowers with a recyclable container and a very natural feel. His work was incredible. We were very satisfied. read more

I wasn't home when my delivery arrived from George Thomas. The delivery person called and asked me if I would be home soon, and was kind enough to redeliver to another friend in the city! I'll be ordering from GT in the future, thanks to their great service. And succulent plant I received looks fantastic! read more

Super quick delivery. Called the morning and flowers were delivered before noon. Would absolutely use them again. They even called when the recipient was not home to make sure it was ok to leave on the porch (potter mum). Porch was shaded. read more

George Thomas has the best customer service hands down! We found out we under watered our large plant when we arrived at the shop with plant in tow. Yes, it had wilted and died. This was a very special plant from our sister's funeral service so naturally I wanted to find out if it could be brought back to life somehow...without hesitation they replaced it and taught me how to properly take care of the new plant. Who's going to shop here again? this girl read more

For our one year anniversary I wanted to recreate my wife's bouquet from our wedding day as a gift. I went to George Thomas Florist a few weeks before the date and asked if they could make that happen. They were very friendly and helpful (as always), asked if I could send them a picture and that was it. When I went to pick them up they'd used the picture to not only match the flowers, but to arrange them as close to possible to the original bouquet down to flower positioning. My wife cried. Also worth checking out is their happy hour. They do half priced stems every weekday starting at 4:30. I'll stop by once a month or so and ask them to create a $20 bouquet for me and they always do a fantastic job (and they always stay under the price I set). This is one of those stores that you go to and you're happy to spend money there because everyone's so pleasant and they all clearly care about doing a good job and making you happy. read more

I'm sentimental about George Thomas, since they've been around since I lived in Indianapolis over 25 years ago. The flowers are always fresh and delivery is always as promised. My friends and relatives are never disappointed, which is saying something, since the nationwide services often make delivery mistakes or provide less than satisfactory flowers. I was pleasantly surprised at the very low cost to get flowers to one of my dearest friends on Mother's Day this year. Furthermore, they have my trust, because they admitted when I attempted to order for some more of my relatives that they are overwhelmed with orders and might not be able to deliver on time. I doubt that many florists would be candid about that. Because of this candor, they lost my business for one other order this week, but I will trust them just that much more. read more

As pretty as the arrangement was, I just wouldn't consider it "premium" quality (which is what I paid for). In fact, it makes me wonder what a "standard" arrangement would even look like. The arrangement was sparse and lacked some of the flowers that should have been included. It also arrived in a smaller vase than what it was supposed to come in. The vase had a smaller opening than the one that was shown in the picture, which is why there were less flowers. Though customer service did give me 20% off of my order because of the complaint, I probably won't shop here again. read more

George Thomas handled the flowers for our wedding, and we were really pleased with the experience. I'm not very knowledgeable about flowers, and they did not get a very big portion of our wedding budget, but Melissa was able to create bouquets for my bridesmaids and me for a very reasonable price. I explained what colors I liked and that I wanted a blend of flowers and things that looked more like foliage, and I trusted her to choose what would look best. She showed me lots of choices and the end result was beautiful. Then, closer to our wedding, we decided that we wanted some greenery near the altar for our wedding. They suggested peace lilies, which they rented to us for a lower price. One of the florists had been to our venue before, so he was able to make suggestions on how to arrange them (and they looked great). All in all, this was a great experience, especially for someone like me who isn't really into flowers. We live in Irvington, so we're always happy to support a local business. We'll be back for the loose stem happy hours! read more

This was originally a one-star review but Sam offered such fantastic customer service that I truly believe they are a five-star business. Flowers didn't get delivered to the right location in a building causing mass confusion on both parties. The owner Sam went above and beyond to fix my order and make it right. Will be using it again. Thanks, Sam for genuinely caring. read more

It had been many years since I used George Thomas Florist. My previous visit was at their old location at 10th and Shadeland. My sister suddenly passed away recently and when we needed flowers, George Thomas came to mind immediately. With all of the chaos and grief, I did not order my sister's flowers until the day before her funeral, but George Thomas made it happen. I first looked at their website the night before I called and placed my order over the phone with Becca. I chose the Fireside red and white roses arrangement. It could be upgraded, but I went with the standard and was not disappointed. Just as she described, it was very full and beautiful. I came in under budget and did not feel pressured at all to spend more than I was comfortable. Compared to some other places, I felt I received a very good price. I am not so sure I would have gotten as nice of an arrangement at some other places, even if it had cost more. My order was taken in a prompt and professional manner. I almost couldn't believe how effortless it was and was grateful that it was something I could check off my list. That gave me a big sigh of relief. I also received an email receipt right away, as well as a confirmation of my order and delivery. My sister's flowers arrived when asked and were a beautiful tribute to her. I know she would love them. I would definitely use George Thomas again the next time I need flowers and I highly recommend this Irvington gem. read more

We live in northern Michigan. I wanted to order floral centerpieces for three tables for a bridal breakfast in Indianapolis. A friend suggested George Thomas Florist. My instructions were : blue and white flowers, romantic, and beautiful. What was delivered was perfect- and lovely! Just perfect! Everyone commented on them. The groom's Mom was delighted. Made me happy that the flowers were such a big hit. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

I was looking for a local flower shop to send flowers to my mother and decided to go with GTF because of its raving reviews and the natural looking arrangements available. It looked like freshly picked wild flowers. It arrived on time and my mother loved her bouquet! She also loved that the flowers were local and said she could tell by the way they smelled! I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I need a local florist read more

Still adore this florist. I finally got to visit their store and was very impressed by their selection. Not only fresh flowers, but a great deal of potted plants and succulents that you can transfer into a terrarium. The workers are extremely attentive and accommodating. I was in and out in a few minutes and able to come back for my mother's arrangement. I was extremely impressed by. I told the florist I wanted sunflowers and lilies. That's it and she created something far better than I could have expected. read more

Somehow, in my studies of the Circle City, its history, and inhabitants, I missed out on the fact that George Thomas was running a floral empire from the east side of town. Having contracted over the years from multiple locations to one at 10th & Shadeland, this summer GeoTom relocated to the heart of Irvington. The rehabbed interior of a vacant storefront is part flower shop, part warehouse chic, and these people know their petals. Make your own arrangements or trust their judgement, either way you'll leave happy. They deliver all over central Indiana, too, so give them a call even if you can't stop by in person. read more

My husband and I have had many positive experiences with George Thomas in Irvington. They supplied our wedding flowers in 2011, and my mom's corsage stayed pretty for more than a month. Lately, my husband has been wooing me with fresh flowers from their shop every Wednesday, taking advantage of their Happy Hour from 4:30 - 5:30. The staff is helpful and accommodating, and I can't say enough about the gorgeous flowers and their staying power. I've had some daisies in a vase for three weeks and sunflowers for two weeks. We love having such a great flower shop to dot our friendly Irvington downtown. If you're looking for fresh flowers, look no further than George Thomas. read more

Thank you George Thomas. I ordered Valentine flowers at 5:20 PM the night before Valentine's Day. They were delivered at a reasonable time the next day, on Valentine's Day. Excellent! Delivered to our hotel room and made my wife very happy for her birthday! Good customer service.

I have used George Thomas Florist twice in the past two months, even though they are an out-of-town florist for me. I am certainly glad I selected them for both occasions. The bouquets were beautifully arranged and the flowers were exceptionally fresh and full. Thank you, George Thomas Florist! read more

This company gets a 1 only because there is no rating lower. Ordered flowers, assured delivery, flowers weren't delivered, I asked for a refund and was told no problem, then a week later I called about my refund and was told we'll have to check our records and get back to you. Do not use this florist. Hmmmm Take money for product, don't provide product, give excuses why you can't return money. Seems strange. read more

Beautiful, unique arrangements. THE best service and great "Happy Hour" specials at HALF price. There's no one else I call.

As an out-of-state customer, I selected this florist based on the many positive online reviews. When I arrived at the memorial service in Indianapolis, I could not have been more pleased with the floral arrangement I had ordered. The large arrangement of long-stem red roses and lush greenery was exquisite. The roses were fresh, and the perfect blooms and arranged to perfection. Many thanks to the designer who prepared the lovely bouquet for my brother's service. read more
