She has been having a…read moreissue with her eye and the Dr keeps telling her its allergies, she went to a urgent care last night and the Dr there told her she needed to be seen by a eye dr right away. She called the office and asked for a emergency appointment and they told he no.. the dr from the urgent care even spoke to them and said is a emergency and she was told no. My daughter was told they would call this morning and never did, when she called today they told her the dr isn't taking emergency appointments. Now that we told them how we feel and we are doing to tell everyone how she was treated they are concerned and want my daughter to come in. Its to late for that since she had to go to the hospital for treatment. This is the last time she will ever call any of there offices. Beware of SightMD.

I took my 8 year old daughter to see Dr. Katz and had one of the most disappointing and upsetting…read moremedical experiences I've ever had. From the moment the appointment started, he was dismissive, rushed, and showed no patience or empathy toward my child. I explained her condition in detail, including the fact that her previous specialist had moved and that we were advised to monitor symptoms like increased pain or flashes of light. Instead of acknowledging anything I said, he cut me off and told me there was "nothing we can do" and that she would ''just have to live with the pain." When I questioned how a parent is supposed to accept that, he responded defensively, asking, "Well what do you recommend we do then? What have doctors been able to do for her all these years?" His tone was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. He then said he wasn't the right doctor for her and handed me a list of other doctors. Even as we were putting our jackets on, he stood over us holding the clipboard in my face, demanding that I take it to the front desk. No patience, no basic courtesy. My daughter left the office crying and asked why a doctor would tell her she should live with pain, something no child should ever hear from a medical professional. To make matters worse, when I went to check out and asked the front desk how I could file a complaint, I was told that they didn't have a phone number or email for that!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend him, especially for pediatric care. A doctor should have compassion, patience, and respect, none of which we experienced here.

He then said "I was just talking to him" Later that evening, I received a phone call from Dr. Katz apologized for his behavior because he realized it was not very nice. I was happy that he took accountability and decided to go back. We went back in January 2023, everything was fine. Today, 10/3/2023 we see Dr.Katz at the Yonkers location. Dr. Katz enters the room, I am sitting in the chair watching Dr. Katz, my son is sitting in the patient chair and he begins to touch the equipment- I immediately tell my son to stop and Dr. Katz smacks my son on his arm RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I couldn't believe it. "DID YOU JUST HIT MY SON?" I asked in complete disbelief! His response was, "No, I brushed his arm" LIES!!! The energy in the room immediately changed. I am in shock and disbelief. The mother in me was ready to turn the whole office up but the professional in me knows there are other ways to handle this. I promise you it took everything in me to remain calm and level headed. I am writing this review at 9pm on 10/3/2023. No call, No apology, No accountability. Not that it would make it okay. Dr. Katz was completely wrong and out of line!!! A police report has been made with Yonkers Police and the Boards will be notified!

I wear glasses. Since 3rd grade. Never been charged for paper copy of what is in the computer. It's insulting and makes your practice look bad.

He did a full examination on her and we are in the process of launching a lawsuit against him. The way my sister tells me he touched her was very uncomfortable for her. She came barging out of the exam room in tears. As I tries to confront this man, his football quarterback looking secretary told us the doctor was busy. However, we all saw the amount of catered food coming into the office. The doctor ran off to have lunch. Listen people just be careful from this guy. He gives off a very weird vibe. I think he was using drugs or on something for sure. So just be careful and try to find another Dr. To see there are plenty in the area.

She has great bed side manners, very talkative, personable and listens to his patients concerns. He also pays very close attention to details in his patients health. My whole family now sees Dr Chumaceiro and I couldn't be happier with our choice.
