They also tried to use up all of my insurance coverage and still charge me additional out of pocket. The office itself was empty -- no other patients besides me -- which raised red flags. After getting a second opinion, I was told I didn't need any teeth pulled and that the supposed "cavities" they pointed out weren't real issues at all. This experience felt misleading and money-driven, not patient-focused. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should be warned before trusting this place.

I explained this to the receptionist and they made note of it for me - X-rays which require equipment to be in your mouth for periods of time are the worst for me. If it's in my mouth for more than a few seconds, I gag and sometimes throw up. The dental assistant went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me through this, she would literally place the piece in my mouth, run to take the photo and run back to get it out as fast as she could (I wish I knew her name). Every time I'm in the chair, they're reassuring and check in with me. Dr. Kimet is an angel, she's thorough, professional, patient and most importantly, friendly! She takes time explaining things and never makes me feel bad about my 100 questions. I've also never had a more thorough teeth cleaning before, my mouth felt amazingly clean afterword. She also did some cosmetic work on my teeth, I had 2 chipped teeth that I was very self conscious about- she did such a great job, you'd never know they were chipped in the first place. She took the time to chat with me, ask about my life, and really understand who I am before we even started. When it came time for the cleaning, she explained everything in a way that made total sense and introduced me to some dental techniques I'd never heard of (I had a million questions and she happily answered every single one). At one point I got a little emotional (I'm usually anxious at the dentist), and Dr. Jocellyn literally grabbed a tissue and dabbed my tears like a mom would - gently going "dab, dab, dab, sweetie, don't ruin your makeup." I love at the Chicago location they have a pharmacy inside and I was able to fill my prescriptions right there on the spot.
