We have had a great experience with GPE to install panels on our home. All the people we worked…read morewith were prompt, explaining things accurately and correct, and were really helpful and patient. Especially as our installation was process was lengthy due to the historic nature of our house and barriers thrown up but town officials. However as long as we didn't give up, GPE supported us and eventually we won and our solar was installed and turned on. As other have commented, when you compare GPE's work with that of other installations around us, they did an exceptional job to hide any conduits, cables and the panels look less messy than what I've seen all around me. We had the opportunity and chose to pay out of pocket, instead of financing and GPE made it clear and easy. As many people aren't in the position to do that, they provided us with the options and helped us choose without pressure, but with the assistance needed. While we ran into minor issues, with the help of GPE these were resolved to our satisfaction. And we now are enjoying the longer sunlight days that generate our power. After the system is live, the service hasn't stopped so far, so we're confident this stays this way.

It has always been easy to reach someone and there were zero issues with installation and any needed questions. Very patient with all of our questions and couldn't have asked for a smoother process. Even when our Township didn't show for inspection, the GPE point person stayed all day and waited and returned a second time when needed.

All Square D installed by union electrical company. I had contracted Davey Tree company to have a 50 tree oak tree removed and any branches interfering with the sunlight exposure a day before their visit for final details. I get an email from the designer in Florida for my commercial property in Delaware stating they were not licensed in Delaware. A BS answer. They advertise on their website Delaware. They checked the codes here for the design. They may have been in business for 21 years but like a local surgeon stated " you're only as good as your last case. That rank a zero.

Turns out a squirrel made a home under one of my panels and ate through some wire and a converter. The techs found the area where the damage was done and fixed it with a new part. By the way, they handled my service call within 2 days and also had to deal with snow in spots on the roof. They took the damaged component to remove it from the monitoring system and added the replacement. Exact did my install over two years ago and can't tell you how happy I am that I chose them for my solar system. FIRST CLASS!!!!

Greenhouse Solar Review -- Delays, Poor Workmanship, and Broken Promises…read moreWe had our solar system installed by Greenhouse Solar in September 2024, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before installation, I asked whether the panels were actually in stock. I received no response. Then, on 8/26/2025, I was informed by Lee Oelkers that their regular panels were out of stock and would be replaced with a different brand. On 10/1/2025, after a night of high winds, we heard loud banging on the roof. Greenhouse Solar came out the next day and confirmed panels were loose, securing them at that time. On 12/2/2025, we were notified by NJ ADI that our paperwork for the state rebate was incomplete due to missing serial numbers on the power box. At the company's request, I opened the power box, photographed the serial numbers, and sent them in. Then, on 12/10/2025, the company admitted an error on the New Jersey state form and asked me to re-sign corrected documents. I did so, and shortly afterward we were told the state would now require a site inspection. On 12/18/2025, after a wind and rainstorm, 38% of our panels stopped functioning. When I called Greenhouse Solar on 12/19/2025, I was told the panels would "fix themselves." The following day I received another email insisting it was not an installation issue. On 12/21/2025, I emailed back disputing that microinverters "self-repair," requested service, and received no response. I then sent a corrective-action letter giving seven days to reply. On 12/24/2025, a salesperson told me they were busy with end-of-year installs, but still no official response from the company. On 12/26/2025, I finally received an email from Lauren stating a technician would be at my home on 12/31 between 8-9 a.m. No one showed up. My calls and emails went unanswered. Later that day I received a new email saying the visit was moved to January 6th, and that Lauren would be leaving the company on 1/2/26. Bottom line: Greenhouse Solar changed equipment after the sale, performed poor-quality installation, mishandled required New Jersey paperwork, and repeatedly provided inaccurate information -- including claims that failed panels would fix themselves and confirming an appointment that never occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I reached out to Green House for a quote on a repair to my Sunpower solar system. She then went further and inquired about the issue I was having and provided some helpful insights on my issue and what I might expect regarding repair. Based on the customer service provided for someone who is not a customer I would definitely consider Greenhouse if I was shopping for a new system.

Public Service Solar is a best quality, experienced, and honest solar installer. I was impressed…read morewith everything they did for me. They explained very well the initial estimate and then the final quote. They knew NJ and Edison power rules and regulations. They got my panels installed AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. They had the engineer explain the design and what I should expect from the solar panels. I got a 15 panel installation. I did my research: the panels they used were the among best in the industry (Maxeon). The inverters were also among the best, if not the best. (EnPhase IQ8HC. Not all EnPhase inverters can handle 440 watts!). Public Service Solar has the best warrantee I could find, and the equipment they installed had the best warranty, too. I'm recommending Public Service Solar to my sister in law. Equipment: Maxeon Solar Technologies SPR-MAX3-410-BLK with 40 year Manufacturer Warranty Inverters: 15 Enphase Energy IQ8HC with 25 year Manufacturer Warranty Mounting Hardware: Iron Ridge Mounting Hardware with 25 year Manufacturer Warranty.

We had to change the solar panel design twice due to roof layout and then PSE&G net metering limits, but they kept me informed and got the approvals quickly. The install team came in and laid 34 panels, 34 inverters and ran a line and installed a level 2 car charger and they were efficient and dedicated (the run from junction box to my garage was a beast of a job). The output is am getting from the panels is a little iver where they said it would be in their estimate and I am saving money on my utilities. If you are thinking about going solar this is the company to use.

Initially, I loved Momentum. They started in my area (Metuchen, NJ). Signed the agreement with…read morethem in Nov 2019. Project management was aggressive, which is good. They got the design, permitting, and installation done quickly. My 21-panel, 6.6 kW, Hanwha Q-cell array went live Feb 2020 and worked beautifully for years, no problem. It was sized perfectly, producing exactly the right amount of power, so with PSEG net metering, my consumption versus production was nearly perfect. I was thrilled and recommended Momentum to everyone. The problems started in 2024 when I embarked on a remodel that required demolishing the top floor and re-building the roof with a new geometry. Basically, The panels had to be removed/reinstalled on a different roof. I owned the panels; they were paid off by now. I also wanted to purchase more panels for my new power-hungry devices, e.g. replacing gas with electric heat pumps for HVAC. I reached out to Momentum in Mar 2024, ahead of the remodel. Sent the architect's drawings and asked if these could be used to front-load the design of the array on the new roof or get purchasing of new panels going. Signed the agreement to remove/reinstall the panels on 2024-04-08. Was charged $4,634 despite being verbally promised back in 2019 that a one-time reinstallation would be free. The agreement mentioned nothing about redesign or additional panels, despite multiple attempts by me (via email and calls) to convey that information to Momentum. It seemed like everything I sent them went into a black hole, a major red flag against their CRM. This happened repeatedly. I also repeatedly requested Momentum to coordinate directly with the contractor or the architect regarding the new roof (measurements, technical details), but they did not. The panel removal was scheduled for 2024-04-17, well ahead of the demolition of my old roof in June 2024, which is just about the only thing that went well with this project. The techs who showed up were helpful and professional. On 2024-07-06, I followed up because the new roof was projected to be complete around 2024-08-01, so I wanted to schedule an install date. I was disappointed to see that no progress was made on any sales of new panels to me or any design. During the ~3 months since removal, there were zero attempts by Momentum to reach me. I was asked to re-send the same info I previously sent (past 12 months of power bills, drawings, etc.). These same requests would happen at least a couple more times, despite me trying to get ahead of the problem since early 2024. On 2024-11-22, a tech showed up to take measurements of my roof. The tech was awesome and helpful and professional. He reinvigorated my faith in the company. Alas, once again, that info went into a black hole. The project manager -- who, in her defense, tried her best to be helpful -- eventually reached the conclusion that reinstalling existing panels AND adding on new panels was too complicated, so we removed adding new panels out of the scope of the project. It seemed that a new case ID was created for this. At this point, I would have been happy to just get the existing panels energized again. Between Mar 2024 and now, I regularly followed up with Momentum about the status of my project. I was hardly ever given useful, actionable information. As of 2025-08-14 (18 months since sending the drawings, 16 months since signing the contract, 12 months since the new roof was ready to go, and 8-9 months since Momentum measured the new roof), nothing has moved forward. I was promised at least 4 times by various people that someone from the Roofing Department or Design Department would call me directly with a status update. No one ever reached out to me. These departments do not have a customer-facing side, so I get the feeling that someone contacting me was some sort of special request. I paid the final installment on the $4.6K on 2024-10-14. I am now waiting for new design drawings for reinstalling the array. At no point was any ETA provided for this, although I asked repeatedly. For almost 9 months since the measurements, nothing has happened, with no visibility into the status. So, I paid $4.6K for a service that wasn't done, and I'm losing $300/month to power bills. I have no ETA and no faith that anyone will contact me, other than sales, who keep wanting me to refer other customers to them for $500. And sales is the one department who HASN'T been engaged on my project. My panels are still sitting under a tarp in my backyard, producing 0 kWh (see pic). My conclusion is that Momentum is a company staffed by people who are trying to do their best, but the system is set up for them to fail. Looking at their review trends, my read is that something about the company broke in 2021 and their customer-facing employees have no way around it. I have no faith that their CRM or inter-departmental communication are working.
