He did a good job answering my questions and I like that he is local. Richie was able to get the permits and start the job ~6 weeks later. Appreciate he was a willing to coordinate around my business trip. Also, the weekend before they were to start we found out one of our neighbors was planning a backyard gathering on Monday. I texted Richie on the weekend and he said no problem, they would start on Tuesday. Once the team showed up to start the job, they were great at communicating what they were planning each day. They had to remove a section of fence and a small greenhouse to gain access. They also decided not to risk damaging our old driveway with the heavy trucks, so fill dirt was dumped in the street and transferred to the backyard with the bobcat. This showed me that they really care and are thoughtful about what they are doing. I was able to go to work each day without worrying about being there to supervise. The team showed up each day as scheduled and after the concrete demo, rebar cutting, ~28 truck loads of dirt dumped in the hole and compacted, the job was completed in ~9 business days as estimated. They did a good job cleaning up and hauling everything away. ~2 weeks later I passed the city inspection and received the signed permit. I called up and explained what I needed to have hauled away. I got an estimate and to get a more accurate estimate (without him having to come over) I emailed a picture. He immediately called me back with the quote. His prices were way lower than another company I called and better yet they were able to take it away that same day. For less money than the rental would have cost, Robert from Bob's Bobcats did all the work in one morning. The slope ended up being a big issue, but Bob used the soil from the first seven holes to build a ramp to position the bobcat for his last hole. Watching him deliberately slide his Bobcat down the slope into position was like watching a race car driver drift around corners, it was amazing. Highly recommended.
