Unfortunately a few months ago they hired a person who clearly doesn't care about her job and especially her customers. I tried to contact management but THEY DO NOT CARE and never respond to any online messages.... Advice - if you want to avoid being treated in a disrespectful manner avoid the place when she's there. (Just to give you a hint she was working there on 2/6/26 early in the morning).

Pros: Clean, well-maintained laundromat. -There's a good…read morenumber of machines, and I like how the machines are grouped and labeled by size so you don't have to waste time searching around for the right one. -It seems the washers are pretty fast and efficient. -Very convenient parking--you can park in their lot, and the door is right in front of you. -The restroom is very clean. -The prices may be a tad high during regular times, but there are several times for discounts, and the Wednesday all-day discount on all washers is one of the best deals in town, especially with the larger washers. (It also cuts down on the competition you may experience at the other large laundromat in town.) -had a non-urgent question about my laundry card, and Customer Service replied the next day and graciously gave me a credit remotely via web site chat. The cons: -The seats are awkwardly close together. -The Wednesday evening that I went, the attendant, though nice, spoke almost no English, so I couldn't get help for a question regarding the laundry card machine. -The biggest downside for me is the limited number of settings on the washers. You can't select combination of options that is not in the 8 common presets, such as heavy soil warm water, or normal cold wash. There's no option at all for an extra wash or extra rinse. I use all these settings pretty regularly. Anyway, it seems my laundry has come out decently clean as far as I can tell.

I normally just drop my things off to have them laundered for me (they fold and hang AMAZINGLY) but every now and again If I have the time, I'll do it myself. Not to be long winded, but the last time I did do it myself I complained about something and when I came in today noticed that my complaint had been addressed and no longer an issue. I highly recommend this location.

Clothes Encounters Laundromat - Rutherford, NJ…read more I walked into Clothes Encounters with two comforters and a lot of determination, but also a bit of confusion. With $10.25 in hand and two Tide Pods, I made a rookie mistake. I started the wrong machine, and of course, I didn't realize it until after the fact. But here's where this place really shines--Deb, the woman working the counter, came to my rescue. She noticed I was flustered, and without hesitation, she started the correct machine for me at no extra cost. Plus, she generously gave me some detergent since I lost my Tide Pod. Now that's customer service. The laundromat is clean, with plenty of machines to choose from. My comforters were washed and dried with no issues (after a little help), and I was back on track. Despite the hiccup, the experience was smooth, and I left with a fresh load and a smile. Final thoughts: Small mistake, huge save, and solid service. 5 stars, easily. The dryers are extremely hot and will dry your clothes quickly. They also have a drop off service for those who want the laundromat to wash their clothes instead of waiting around for clothes to dry and wash. Overall nice experience. I would return here.
