I have a very complicated system that includes a boiler radiant heat floor system in the concrete slab powered by tankless heaters. As soon as Wayne looked it it he knew EXACTLY what needed to be done. Cody was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, polite and just a darn good guy. They showed up when they said they would and called when they were on the way. They provided advice and also listened to my concerns. I'm a retired contractor. I know what I'm talking about. I know good work when I see it. If I can't do it myself, I'm often reluctant to hire outside help. But as I've aged (a little?!) I know I can't do it all anymore. To find a company like Freedom Plumbing is like finding a new friend. I have put them on my list of GO-TO fixers.

There was a water leak downstairs which we discovered with wet carpet. We contacted several plumbers and no one was readily available. We stopped the leak for the moment. R Plumbing Co., LLC is headquartered in Dugspur, VA. and we contacted them. They were available the next day. We were simply taking, so to speak, a shot in the dark being new to this area. We were ultimately very, very surprised with the service. He arrived on time. The plumber discovered the cause of the leak and secured the plumbing. One of us went to a local store to get a new faucet for that problem but the store did not have a correct sink drain. We had a toilet that had been turned to off. I certainly felt safer, just in case, with a plumber turning on the water. He adjusted the fill mechanism and figured that it was over filling so someone just turned off the water. He went through the house and found several other problems. Ultimately he resolved 4 different problems and took time to inspect other plumbing. He was not trying to "up-sell" us to make more money. He was very thorough and fully explained the repairs. There were a couple of things that someone suggested should be immediately replaced. The plumber said that there was no reason to replace something just to replace it. We were very happy with the cost for his service. It was very reasonable. He was likely here for nearly 2 hours. We plan on installing a new dishwasher and he said that he could install it. We will certainly ask him to do that work for us. Ultimately we had a very pleasant experience, not that we wanted to spend money. We will in the future ask R Plumbing to take care of any plumbing issues and have recommended this firm to several people.

A tech named Erik came out earlier this week to work on our family's system and did such a…read morephenomenal job. Our air already smelled and felt cleaner and fresher before he even left. He was here for some time as he worked meticulously, but he was professional, courteous, and an incredibly respectful young man! He included us in the process, communicating everything he was doing and why, explained the entire process knowledgably and helpfully. The weather wasn't great so the lawn was wet, but Erik literally wiped his feet every single time and even wore booties to protect our floors. He cleaned up everything prior to leaving and was even kind to our (very nosy and distracting) pets! I had to come on here and brag about him and the services, because he did just a stellar job!!! Not only did the tech initially "forgot" about 3 flex lines (30% of the work...), He also "forgot" to clean some of the divider boxes. When I went through the crawlspace today to replace some mouse poison, i noticed that one of the flex duct runs had just fallen off the floorvent. Who knows if mice have been getting back into our system that we paid Jays to correct just that problem? I feel ripped off. not just because of how pricey it was, but the level of work i got for the money. Our mountain community keeps a list of recomended vendors. and experiences. We will no longer be asking Jays to come around.

I found Jay's Heating, Air & Plumbing to be over priced and not straight forward about their…read moreservice agreements. Their invoices do not itemize the cost of their work. The first invoice was $1,000. for evaluation and dryer vent cleaning. The second invoice was $900. for plumbing evaluation and to clean a clogged shower drain. This is the first negative review I've written on line. But I would not recommend them.

I emailed her and told her to contact me when she had time. Five minutes later, she calls. Which told me she just dropped the ball. She said she could have someone come at 2:00 today. The crew would call before coming. 11:00 this morning, her crew knocks on the door. Luckily we had just returned from the doctor from a scheduled appointment. No advanced call. She gave a quote Monday of $65 just to come out. And $85 an hour. When the crew got there, the price went from $150 to $250. they told us it was $85 per man and they sent 2 men just to replumb a single bathroom sink. A one person job. After calling Mrs. Blalock to question her about it, she suddenly couldn't recall not saying it was $85 per man. And she wasn't going to adjust the price. We told her the workers could proceed, but she and her husband would never get any of our business after this. I pray for businesses that do this to people. And I feel like they Prey on me elderly and disabled. As we are. Shame on you. You will be the elderly one day too.
