The Gently White team is a husband-and-wife duo who operate in a different halls in various cities. They are very prompt and provide a detailed rundown of the system, as well as a baseline assessment of your current teeth condition. They call you as a group to have your teeth whitened for 25 minutes. Afterward, they have you rinse your mouth and then reevaluate the whiteness of your teeth. They offer a numbing gel if your teeth are sensitive. Mine weren't sensitive, but it was nice to have that option. I had an appointment as a return customer, but on my way to the appointment, I was involved in an auto accident where I had to be taken to the closest hospital for my injuries. Two days later my husband called and spoke to the owner Karen(perfect name cause she is half Karen/B!+ch). Anyways, he explained to her about the auto accident that I was in and Karen said that we should have called to let her know that i couldn't make the appointment time as they were sold out and that it's not fair to others who wanted to sign up and I had a reserved spot that could have been given to another person. My husband apologized again and asked if he can reschedule an appointment in the next few months once I was back on my feet again after the auto accident. She told him that I was not welcomed back even though the accident was not my fault and we are responsible for calling ASAP if something changes. My husband told her that I was unconscious when I arrived at the hospital and he was unaware of my appointment that day so he didn't know to call that I would not be able to make the appointment that day. Karen didn't even have any empathy that I had been in a very bad accident on my way to her event. I really hope that others read this comment before they decide to give your hard earned money to a lady that has no empathy or gives the benefit of the doubt to their customers should something arise and can't make the appointment or arrive minutes late. I've read the comments that she has left others who have simple questions or speak up about something that they don't like during their treatment appointments, and Karen goes into immediate defense mode. Yes, it's your company and you can run it how you like, but learn customer service skills & grace towards your customers. Yes, you have over 50,000 satisfied customers (spare me the lecture Karen yada yada yada)but life happens. You can't tell me that you have never skipped or missed or even been late to an appointment. I'm sure they allowed you to reschedule and not ban you as a customer. You should learn how to treat customers. Maybe you'd have a higher number of satisfied customers. I recently saw Karen in a central valley town. The set up in the hotel conference room worked well with several different stations so they can maximize how many clients they can see per day. Karen is very professional. Almost too much so as I listened to her sales pitch two times (my intro and one when I was being treated). Her "grandma" persona makes you feel at ease. She did not veer off script at all. The only thing I didn't like was the upsell at the end to buy the "package" of more whitening gel, a pen, etc for another $60 approx. My husband and I went to the session in Vacaville and walked away very happy with our results. My teeth were already high on the white scale and Karen counseled me that my teeth would not be movie star white which I wasn't looking for anyway. My teeth did whiten up and I am very pleased. My husband's teeth had a gray tinge along with yellowing due to childhood antibiotics and coffee abuse . Karen counseled him that he may not have much, if any improvement. She actually told him beforehand that if there were no results there would be no charge. Wow, that really impressed me and gave me more confidence in the procedure. When he was done all three of us were happy that he went up a couple of shades and the gray tinge was gone. I probably should have prefaced this by saying hubs is 60 which has a lot to do with results. I really liked how streamlined everything is. They have a timeline and stick to it which I appreciate. Once finished, there was a follow up for after care and a short sales pitch but it wasn't forced at all. We purchased the after care products which amounted to not much more than a box of Crest white strips. I got my teeth whitened today 10/18/19. I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but I have extremely sensitive teeth & have always been afraid. AMAZING! Karen, Paul and Gently White are the real deal! My teeth lightened 6 shades in 1 treatment! I read some of the other reviews and wanted to take a moment to debunk some of the comments since I was a little put off by them. This is the real deal for $49! The treatment for me was painless and I have virtually NO sensitivity. I can't use whitening products because my teeth are too sensitive. This was AMAZING! I used Zoom whitening and have paid over $300 in the past through my dentist and did not achieve the results I had with Gently White. The so called "sales pitch" before and after were actually informative sessions that allow for you to both learn about whitening and then make a decision about how much you want to lighten your teeth. Karen was very up front about the expectations of the treatment, as every person's teeth are different and results will vary based on your exposure to coffee, wine, cigarettes, medications etc. Some people will get 2 shades whiter, while others like me will get 6 (the guy in the group before me got 8 shades whiter!). At the end of the session, Karen explains that with any lightening process, it takes time! Its up to YOU to decide how much lighter you want to go on your own based on your individual results. Also, teeth get stained again over time and again, its up to YOU how you want to maintain your results. I never felt pressured at ALL. The best part is the kits are really inexpensive! FYI I got this done in Oct 2015: trying to catch up on my reviews..... Karen is awesome she comes to Reno every few months and sets up in different salons. I was a little leery of the whole thing but jumped at a chance to try it. 50.00 is so much less then what my dentists charges. (Yes, I smoke and yes I drink red wine) so I had to out of the three things she asked that turns your teeth color. The other is soda and I don't drink that much, I'm more of a tea drinker. So I got to kick back for 30 mins in a lawn chair and chill. When it was all over my teeth went two shades lighter. :) She just said they more you do it the lighter your teeth will get. I had nothing but a great experience with Gently White. It is a husband and wife operation. They were both very professional. The experience was painless. The first 10-15 minutes is spent giving you an overview as to what to expect. During this time, you will also prep for your teeth whitening. After you have prepped for your teeth whitening, you are seated in a reclining leather chair under a LED light for about 30-45 minutes. After you are done getting your teeth whitened, you are able to purchase a whitening kit to take home. If you are unable to purchase a kit at the time, you can purchase one online but it is $5.00 more (I believe). I didn't end up purchasing a kit at the time, but I will definitely purchase one online. Fully honest review right here. My husband and I went to get our teeth whitened after seeing a Facebook ad. $50 seemed too good to be true. Our treatment took place in a conference room at a hotel. The entire vibe felt like one of those Mary Kay MLM schemes. The owner has an entire memorized script that you will probably hear her say about three times during your visit with you and other groups. She will say the process is painless but my gums and throat were burning during the 25 minutes under the light. She said my teeth turned 1-2 shades lighter but I didn't see a difference. My husbands didn't look any different either. At the end she does an entire sales pitch and tries to upsell you to buy her $62 teeth whitening kit which didn't yield any results in the first place. My husband and I politely declined and she wasn't pushy at all which was nice. We also look like college students so that's probably why she didn't push so hard. All in all, it was like being part of an expensive Costco sample as we declined the main part she was selling at the end. I don't have any regrets but I don't think I would do this again. read more

I love Gently White! I've been a faithful customer for 5 years, because the quality of the service is so high. And I'm really picky! Karen runs her business efficiently! It literally takes less than 45 minutes for me to be in and out. She is an expert in her knowledge of (1) how to whiten teeth so they don't become really sensitive after; (2) how to take care of teeth on a daily basis for a healthy mouth; and (3) how to get the best results and keep them in between sessions with her. My teeth sparkle now! They never sparkled before I started going to her. I had major issues with my mouth and teeth and I thought I would never be able to whiten because of those issues. But, Karen's products and knowledge have allowed me the luxury of whitening without the common side effects of other whitening products. The man you have working in the Stockton location today needs proper training in customer service and diversity. When arriving to the appointment my first encounter was seeing him rudely addressing the Hispanic family next to me. I felt offended for them and the way he was speaking to them disrespectfully. He then came to me already smug in energy as if I was bothering him by being there. He asked me if I brushed and flossed to which I stated yes unaware I should not have. He then began to scold me as if I was a child in front of all the other patrons. The way he spoke to me was uncalled for. I politely stated when I signed up I received what I thought was a confirmation email that I bookmarked before returned to work so it was a simple misunderstanding. I took accountability for the fact I signed up while on break rushing to get a spot and not seeing the rules. I took today off for these dental services so although upset I could've stayed at work I inquired for the next event. He then stated I don't think I want you there since you can't read So not only was I verbally scolded but not my intelligence is insulted. In that moment I realized it was my skintone that was the issue. I stated to him refund my money and I will not be patronizing the business. One thing he needs to understand is minority money has power and respect as well. He needs to not be the face of your company if he continues to conduct himself that way.
