PLEASE BEWARE! I left this appointment shaken, upset, and…read morehonestly shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. I purchased a Groupon for three IPL sessions. My first visit with the owner was good-very rushed though. My second visit was a completely different story. The nurse was actively training someone during my appointment--something I was never informed of or consented to. I did not agree to have a trainee involved in a laser treatment on my face. I clearly disclosed that I have tattooed eyebrows and lips. Everything seemed fine until I felt a sharp, intense pain above my eyebrow and smelled hair burning. I was told it was just "baby hairs." Minutes later, I felt even worse pain at my temple and again smelled burning hair. Once again, I was reassured it was normal. It was not. A visible section of hair at my temple had been burned off. When I touched it, the hair fell out. I also had missing eyebrow hair. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, the nurse immediately tried to minimize the situation, telling me this "happens all the time." That is extremely concerning--and completely unacceptable. I've had IPL treatments for years and have NEVER experienced anything like this. She attempted to cover the bald spot with my hair and told me not to worry because it would grow back. I remained calm (no Karen behavior) and asked what could be done, she repeatedly mentioned the waiver I signed and offered a free session (which I declined--why would I trust them again?). When I asked for a manager, I was told she was the manager, yet she showed zero accountability or real concern. To make matters worse, I overheard the trainee call me "a little dramatic," and the trainer agreed. When I calmly addressed hearing it, she denied it outright and then told me to stay out of the back before shutting the door in my face. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect here is unbelievable. This was not a minor mishap--it was negligence during a cosmetic procedure. I am now dealing with a burned scalp, visible hair loss, and eyebrow damage. Proceed with extreme caution. Edit: 2 hours later, my eyebrow is a full on blister which might need a dermatological appointment from where she hit the tattooed eyebrow, and now that I've washed the bald spot, it's far more obvious that hair is missing

I had my first visit in February. It was literally my first visit to a med spa and I really wanted…read moreto try microneedling with prf and undereye prf. My visit was fine. It matched my expectations. I had paid for my services online ahead of time. I was told not to do that again because they can meet or beat the price in the center. Cool. I pre-paid for 3 more sessions. My overall goal was to do a monthly session for all of 2026 and then space them out to every other month in 2027 to reach my goals. My sessions in March and April were uneventful. I did notice that whenever I had the "salesperson" from my first visit, my total for undereye prf was more expensive. But, whatever. I also bought on a few add-ons that were recommended. Such as the tinted sunscreen, anica gel, and face masks. My last visit was booked for May. I work a 15 min drive away. I always leave 30 min ahead of time to account for traffic, the parking garage and all that. I did the same in May. Unfortunately, there was an accident on the freeway. Traffic was completely stopped. I called the number in the confirmation texts and let them know I would likely be 15-20 minutes late. I explained I totally understood if I had to reschedule. But, I didn't want to keep driving there if I wasn't going to be seen. I could get off at the next exit and just go home. First, they couldn't find my appointment. Then, after a brief hold, they did. They said it was absolutely not a problem at all. They would see me soon and to be safe. I arrived. Parked on the third level of the parking garage, tried to open the door and it was locked. I then ran down three flights of stairs and then up the elevator. I stood behind a couple of ladies checking in, and interrupted the ladies working's conversation to check in. Immediately they said I was 22 minutes late and would not be seen. I said I called, they left a note. The lady said that was the call center and they don't get to determine that, but she'd talk to her manager. After a few minutes, she came back and said the manager said no to microneedling (my prepaid service), but could do under eye. I said no thank you and said that was incredibly frustrating that their back of house is wasting my time. Eventually, the manager was available, after I could see her watching the conversation from the hallway. She explained that I could possibly still do partial services, if we rushed to the back right now. I explained I didn't want rushed services or partial, but I did want to communicate that there should be a better system in place. I don't think she was actually listening. Eventually she said I could do microneedling, but it would be a long wait. So, we went from rushed to waiting (which I normally do here anyways). She said she was willing to offer this because I was upset. I declined. I confirmed my prepaid services were transferable. She offered a credit on my account to compensate for my experience. I booked my services at the Walnut Creek location. There was no credit added to my account. And, truly, this experience on Alhambra ended up being a blessing. The experience at the other location felt luxurious. It felt genuine. It was like night and day. While I haven't decided yet if I'm on the search for an entirely new provider or not, I know for certain, this location for sure lost my business.
