We love Gentle Touch! We have been going for years and have had several dogs groomed there. Paul the manager is ALWAYS kind and helpful, and the groomers do an amazing job. They listen to what we want and our pups enjoy being there, plus they are absolutely adorable when we pick them up. We will never go anywhere else. Colby always does a great job with our Buddy which is no easy fete! He's very particular about being touched, etc., and she knows just how to do it. Owner or staff change has made me disappointed with Gentle Touch. Did not listen when I said cut shorter than previous appointment. Took over 5 3/4 hours. They do not do dogs start to finish at one time. Wash all dogs then dry then do other things and finally start each haircut. So long for dogs to be there waiting for her turn. And the cut was left so long that in two weeks she needed to be groomed again. So sad. Years ago we were pleased but not this year 2024. read more

Unfortunately when I picked up my dog, his scrotum was severely irritated and looked like they cut part of it while shaving him down. They didn't say anything about it. Now I have to gently touch his scrotum twice daily until he heals. Thanks Gentle Touch. read more

I honestly love gentle touch. I'm so grateful that my doggie, Mack, has a safe place to go. Plus, they know us and always accommodate us and bring comfort to Mack. Mack is a rescue that I rescued when he was 1.5. He was scared of everything when I met him, but he's come a long way! He's 9 now and the sweetest baby, but he gets nervous. He's happy when he sees Paul though. Tail wagging and he goes right in the bath, because he doesn't like being picked up. Hehe! We've been coming here for a while and never wrote a review. This was the first time Ronan has been to a groomer in about 8 yrs. & today is he's 10yrs. Old! I always do his grooming, but I thought for his birthday I would give him a treat. My dog was in a cage for five hours. He came back in aweful condition. His belly was raw his feet was raw . He is a shitshu and they cut all all the hair off his tail. We will never take him there again. read more

I just had to delete my post from last year that was a 5 star raving review based on 6 years of excellent service :( Boy those previous owners were a pleasure to do business with! Sweetest ladies. The new owner is just the opposite. They called me and texted me that my dogs were ready. When I arrived they were an hour from being done. I live 25 minutes away. This error should not have happened. The owner wanted to show me on her system why the error occurred. I told her it didn't matter and I didn't need to know what her system did, just needed to figure out my plan B. She called me RUDE and told me to take my dogs then. I said ok . She then went in the back room and slammed the door. Another employee came out and said they'd be ready in 45 minutes. Ok! An hour and $110 later my babies were outta there. I hope she fixes her system error to avoid further customer disappointment. And I hope fixes her attitude as well. That's not how you run a business. read more

My dog isn't used to being professionally groomed, and she was a bit nervous to go in, but the entire experience was wonderful! When I picked her up, not only did she look fabulous, but she was so happy- wagging, her tail, prancing around, and snuggling with the groomer and shop owner! When I arrived for my appointment the women at the front desk had forgotten to put it on the schedule. She said she could still squeeze in my two dogs and that I should come back in 6 hours. When I returned neither of my dogs had been finished grooming. I could hear my little one crying in the back and since no one was at the front desk I found her in a unfloored wire crate. She was scared and stressed. I rushed her out to use the bathroom. I had a strong feeling like they had been in those crates all day. I get chills when I drive by this place. read more

This place is the worst! Definitely not a gentle touch. They burned my dog very badly and would not even give us a partial reimbursement. Did not trim his face enough, did not listen to instructions, burned him, and were incredibly rude when we tried to call and explain what had happened. They also quoted at one price and then charged us $10 more at check out. My poor dog was very sore after this grooming and we will never ever go there again. The owner is incredibly unprofessional and does not care about anything but the money. I sincerely hope they go out of business soon. Please do not bring your pet here. read more

Easy access to store, upon walking in the cleanliness hits you in the face. Nice hello from the woman at the desk. Took my Lab to get his nails trimmed. You can tell the woman up front loves animals and it shows. Not only did she just trim his nails, the woman went above and beyond the call of duty. She scuffed up his pads so he won't slide. Their prices are beyond reasonable. $7 for nails. I called a couple of other places they wanted $12 then told me I had to make a appointment. Gentle Touch said bring him in anytime. Will I go back............YES. Also looking forward to getting my dog groomed as well. The price for grooming is different for different sized dogs so I won't quote the price they gave me, I will say she was $10 lower on the other quotes. read more

Mats please, YOU were not involved. Sarah: 1. I called you as soon as I returned from the vet. It was too late that evening to bring Kody in. 2. We brought the dog in the next morning. You DID NOT ask for the vet bill and the dog. Just our dog. 3. Your staff acknowledged the right ear's inflammation was from "plucking hair" and said our dog did move around. I'd imagine most dogs would move around given the ear irritation received. At that, point you asked me to EMAIL the vet bill and gave me your business card with the email address. I emailed the vet bill and followed up with another email - NO RESPONSE. Hence, my Yelp review. 4. The abrasion near the dog's scrotum was not a "birth mark" like your husband alleged when our credit card company called to dispute the grooming charge. We were not asking for the $140 vet bill to be paid! Your husband was NOT involved. We simply wanted the $60 grooming bill credited. 5. As far as the grooming is concerned the length of tail and facial hair did not match the length of his body hair. That's why I returned to your store IMMEDIATELY after my spouse picked him up. You acknowledged the grooming looked funny. 6. If I was unreasonable I would post the photos on Yelp for future customers to decide. read more

Do not recommend coming here with your pets! The appointments are fictitious. I scheduled and was confirmed for a 9:30AM and 10AM for my dogs. Neither was ready until after 6PM! A full hour after closing. poor scheduling leads to overworked groomers. Haircuts were not acceptable. One was choppy and in-even the other missed a section to trim. Very disappointing. read more

I specifically reviewed with the front desk and the groomer to give our dog a trim (not a summer cut); that we were taking him north next week and he needed his coat. They used to be great but unfortunately the last time I took my baby he was a total mess. He was left in a cage to dry rather than a blow dry, his face was not groomed at all. The groomer that previously did him was great, but I was told she no longer works there. I made the mistake of paying online prior to pickup and have recently requested a refund. read more

NEW OWNER and when I went in today she was in the phone with a lobby filled with pets trying to get a Bluetooth speaker to work. When I paid, found out a nail trim went from $7 to $14. Called to make an appointment on a neighbors recommendation. Explained to Stephanie that he is afraid of water and that I would bring him for his grooming freshly bathed and brushed. She stated that this was not possible and that he must be bathed at the shop. Spoke to me very condescendingly and impatiently. I asked to speak to the owner, Debbie, and was abruptly told she was not in until later then was hung up on. Great first impression for a place called 'gentle touch'. I would never leave my dog with such an impatient and rude person. If she treats potential customers like that, how can I trust her to take care with my 4 lb. poodle? Horrible! read more

Really don't know where to start. Our red cat decided he wanted to explore our chimney overnight and thus was now a black cat. After a feeble attempt to try and bathe him (not to mention being sliced to ribbons), we found Gentle Touch online. I have been a client for 8 years with both of my dogs and am sad to say I will not be returning to this business since taken over by the new greedy owners. They doubled the price of the nail clip that literally takes less than 5 minutes with my two well behaved dogs. My last visit occurred right after they took over and I was informed that the price had doubled but they would honor the old price one last time. Today I went in and asked for the wonderful tech Mel and the woman started bad mouthing her and said she was no longer with with them. What a nasty way to do business and look petty to customers. I left and will go elsewhere. My friend said the grooming fee went up from $35 to $55 dollars. The last time she took her dog there for full grooming her dogs nails were clipped into the quick and would not stop bleeding. She had to take her dog to the vet and incurred $100 vet bill for treatment to the nails affected. I just spoke to another friend that was a client for 13 years and she is not returning either. Her last time there with her two dogs resulted in uneven clipping and she did not like the attitude of the new owner either. Please realize the reviews posted prior to mine were when the original owner Debbie was running the business. As you can see by my other reviews posted for other businesses I am not the type of person to use this format to pick at the negatives of businesses. I was unexpectedly detained for the last month in Jupiter with my small maltpoo. She was in desperate need of grooming. Gentle touch called me back quickly and was able to fit us in. I was very pleased on how they responded to my questions on how she would be handled. She is a very nervous dog and has never liked being groomed. She has only been to a single groomer and I was worried she would really give them a hard time. The establishment is pleasant and clean. Riley looked great and was happy to see me. She was ready when they told me she would be and they did a great job on her cut with very little direction from me. Next time I will give them more direction on cutting her tail and face but otherwise would definitely recommend them. read more

Had an awful experience here. I've groomed my dog his whole life myself but decided to splurge on professional grooming for first time. I told them i was a little worried because I'd never left him at a groomers before and I knew he'd be scared. I was assured if I came in right at 8 am, that he could go first. At 1:00 pm my dog was ready to be picked up, many dogs were done before him, and he was terrified. His nails weren't clipped and when I got home I realized he still had cleaning solution dripping from his floppy ears. I had to finish cleaning his ears myself and clip his nails and brush his fur when I got home. But really the fact that he was so scared waiting there for so long after I had been assured he could go first is what made this such a disappointing experience!!! read more
