We have a very timid, very reactive little terrier mix, Milo, that we have taken to multiple…read moretrainers and behaviorists. We couldn't take him on walks because he would lunge and bark at anything that moved - cars, bikes, birds, dogs, people, inanimate objects, the wind, etc. Having people over to our house was a nightmare because he would bark and nip, and he hated being left home alone. We started seeing Deb a few months ago and our life with Milo has improved drastically. He is calm when cars go by, can walk bravely past other people and animals, and met a new dog sitter very politely this evening. He's even willingly spending time in his crate! We've been able to see more of his sweet personality now that he isn't as fearful, and he's a calmer, happier dog overall. I highly recommend Deb, she has truly helped us build a stronger, more trusting relationship with our little guy :)

I got my Malone from Canines 4 hope five years ago. He has been a lifesaver. He goes with me…read moreeverywhere and everyone always comments on how well trained he is. He has stayed with me in the hospital and alerted the nurse when I was having a seizure. He has changed my life. My PTSD and Asperger's syndrome had kept me from doing so many things. With Malone at my side I have been able to go back to school and get a great job. Thank you Jason for all you have done.

Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before allowing my daughter to get a psychiatric service…read moredog from Jason. The first dog that we drove from NC to FL to purchase, "Decided he wanted a change of career" as I told my daughter. He stopped doing everything after about 9 weeks or so. We were sent home with a protocol list for 6 weeks of what to do with him. After week 3, my daughter said, I thought I was getting a fully trained dog! I said I think this is to teach you what he knows. Naïve me. We were training him. The first week, a washer and dryer were delivered to her house; they were not noisy. The poor dog was in the corner shaking all over. Then we realized that anytime he heard a noise, like a lawnmower being rolled up a trailer ramp, he was terrified. Then she would not go out of the house unless she had to go to the bathroom. For months, I had to push and push to get Jason to meet me in Savannah to get the dog while we waited for the next one; he thought he could fly up and take her home on a plane! Haha; there is no way she would go in an airport. He did not even recognize Jason when he called to her. Months later, we went to Florida again. Great goldendoodle. Again, very little "hand off" or training time with my daughter. Maximum time with us and the dog PER DAY.....1.5 hours....and the last morning, 15 minutes, while he gave me the papers. Mind you, that was another night in a hotel for us; later he blamed me for this because he could have met me after his medical procedure but I said we needed to leave earlier rather than later due to potential crisis at home. Baloney. That procedure took a long time, and I knew what it was and he was not going to be in any condition to meet with us. Back to current dog. A sweetie. Did great, until she did not. She started looking all around instead of tending to my daughter after a few weeks. She started barking. At first, I thought she was protecting my daughter at her house, but the barking became more frequent. When she saw a dog on a walk. At a person in the grocery store who was 10 feet away. By this time, I employed a top notch trainer here. She started barking at him a little the first time and then non stop at the most recent session. We went to a neutral setting. My daughter walked around a fountain with her dog. She barked each time she passed the trainer who was sitting in a chair not even looking at them. Finally he had my daughter circle closer and closer and eventually she stopped barking. My daughter has a developmental disability, PTSD and anxiety. She is more anxious with the dog than she was before. No one should never consider buying a service dog from him.

We recently had a pet sitting experience with Malia and her daughter that had both positive and…read morechallenging aspects. The idea of a mother-daughter team was appealing, as it suggested a collaborative approach to caring for our kitties. However, we encountered several communication issues that affected our overall experience. We requested overnight stays for our cats, understanding that Malia also had dog-sitting and training responsibilities. We were surprised to learn on the day of our departure that her daughter would be bringing her small dog along, which we would never agree to as our older cat will defend itself when it felt threatened . While Malia mentioned she wasn't present during our initial conversation, although she was with her daughter during the orientation, which could have been an opportunity to clarify expectations. Malia was quick to accept this and said she would take care of her daughter's dog. We had provided detailed documentation regarding our cats' feeding and care needs, emphasizing our specific practices. While we understand that our approach may seem excessive, it's essential for us that these preferences are followed. We also had a neighbor lined up as a backup, but this shouldn't have been a reason to overlook our guidelines. During our absence, we faced an issue with our electricity external plugs tripping, this was due to an exposed Christmas light socket sitting near an irrigation sprinkler head. They notified our neighbor, who took care of the problem immediately. On the last day, Malia notified our neighbor about her need to leave early and her daughter had left because she fell ill, which we completely understand. However, I found it concerning when I mentioned that our neighbor felt very hot shortly after arriving; he said he was sweating almost immediately and that the temperature was 79 in the house. Malia responded defensively, stating she was used to a house temperature of 79°F. Our preference, as discussed, was to keep the temperature around 70°F for the comfort of our pets, especially our older cat. She said she kept checking and it was "set" to 70, but she didn't check the actual temp in the house. Also this high temperature would increase the humidity level, which would then increase mold growth. What actually occurred was that someone inadvertently turned the AC breaker off in the garage, which shut down the AC fan. There was no AC in the house! I was taken aback when Malia suggested that I should just have a neighbor take care of the cats. This response felt dismissive and indicated a lack of willingness to engage with our concerns. I appreciate that Malia and her daughter made an effort to stay with the cats as much as possible given their other commitments. But, her remark - when I asked about these issues was "at least the cats were fed" and she added "maybe you should get your neighbors to take care of the cats"--- would not be the response one would expect for a paid service. Overall, while the pet sitting arrangement had its merits, clearer communication and a more receptive attitude would greatly enhance the experience for future clients. We had 4 future trips pencilled in, which we obviously aren't going to do anymore.
