I scheduled an appointment for my son to have his orthodontic separators placed because I was told the orthodontist is there Mondays and Thursdays until 4 PM. When we arrived, they said they couldn't do it and claimed I should have made a different appointment, even though no one mentioned any cutoff time when I scheduled. What made the situation worse was how I was treated. The female doctor with glasses and the older male doctor were both rude and dismissive. At one point the female doctor was signaling to other doctors not to talk to me anymore and even raised her hand toward me as if to stop me from speaking. The older male doctor also implied I was lying, saying they've "been doing this for 30 years." This is also not the first time I've noticed unprofessional behavior. I have personally seen this same female doctor speak rudely to employees, and my son has noticed it as well. He even mentioned it to the front desk before. After 10 years of bringing my child here, I expected professionalism and basic respect. Unfortunately, the behavior and bedside manner we experienced today were extremely unprofessional.

This place doesn't have an orthodontist on site and relay on a team every two weeks, anything in between is done by dental assistants. In my case I went 3 days in pain due to unproperly set spacers; The X-rays PC failed both times that I went there and received multiple unnecessary radiations trying the equipment to work; The impressions taken were deficient and had to be redone; The hardware was mislabeled and disorganized; After many attempts I decided that this is not the place to be on a long and expensive treatment; The experience was terrible and painful, DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS OR YOURSELF thru this and better go to an orthodontist office full staffed. I asked for my money back (Deposit of $625) and after expenses of records and documentation, they just returned $183 dollars. Again the staff is great for cleaning but very disappointed of the orthodontist capabilities.

The girls were very nice although a little messy in the sense that I had water splashing every which way while the dentist was doing my cleaning. But I didn't mind as I felt that they didn't try to push products or unnecessary procedures on me. Yes, unfortunately, when going through insurance that has been my horrible experiences in the past. From the moment I walked in and sat down, I was offered a blanket and a neck pillow because it was cold, and I was going to be laying down for 1.5 hours with hands in my mouth. Not only that, but I was given headphones to help drown out the sounds of the drills and was given the remote control to the TV. Never have I gone to a dentist that provides me the ultimate comfort and freedom to just... exist in peace while getting dental work. The staff is unbelievably prepared, sweet and conversational. They feel like friends. The moment I walked in, I was being asked about my son and my new job. They even remembered the story of how my tooth broke and were sharing it with the nurse in the room that didn't know my story. Lastly, I want to comment on the actual dental work done, because it is absolutely the reason I went, but it won't be the only reason I return. My temporary tooth looks amazing. If I forgot to go back for my crown, I wouldn't even be mad! I can only thank the staff and Dr. Furshman so much for the incredible service, tentativeness, skill and intentionality I have been shown. Growing up in Miami, it is quite challenging to be a loyal customer to any given professional- mainly because of poor character traits, shady or unethical behavior which always displeases me and then I move on.
