Cheese fries

Best cheese fries ever! Whenever you're having a bad day, these cheese fries will pick you up.

Over Steak and cheese was good and close to what you would get at the location outside the airport. Customer service is okay and well it's an airport so the environment is what it is. I hadn't had Geno's in a while and definitely happy to have take advantage of one at the airport. Nonetheless, a reminder I need to go back to Philly and hit up Geno's.

I read the reviews only after my visit since I came upon this venue on my walk between the airport terminals to the gate of my next flight. This spot is in a food court right before you enter gates A and B at PHL airport. Menu is simple with your choice of a plain steak, cheesesteak, or roast pork sandwich. You can also get a side of regular or cheese fries. They also have a few beer options in addition to some fountain soda drinks. It seems wait time and service have improved. The line moved quickly and I got my Philly cheesesteak (with diced/cooked onions and cheese choice of cheese whiz) within 5 minutes of ordering. It was about $16. Unfortunately they charge extra for other toppings so I can see how this could have easily been a $20+ for a footlong Philly cheesesteak sammi. I haven't had the original to compare it to but this was tasty and had a nice mix of savory (cheese whiz and thin sliced steak) and sweetness (cooked onions) with a nice soft chew for their sandwich bun. Big enough to feed 2 people. They placed a sheet of wax paper on the opening to help keep in the melted cheese whiz and preventing it from making the paper wrap soggy. If you're in a hurry, you can also order online in advance for pickup at the counter by going to the orderatPHL.com website for this venue and other spots inside PHL airport.

It's okay. Not enough meat and the meat is bland. I added a lot of salt to bring out the flavors. Not sure if this place is over hyped or I picked the wrong cheesesteak from here. Which cheese do I select: cheddar, provolone, cheese whizz or something else ?

Anyone that gives this a high rating has to either be a tourist or never ate a good cheesesteak before. There is nothing that I like about this cheesesteak, especially after I explored and ate 4 other cheesesteaks that weekend. The meat was dry/rough, the bread tasted fresh out of a bag and there was no flavor other than the cheese. The customer service was great though!

Stopped at the airport Genos on July 26, 2025. Had a freshly made egg pork roll and cheese roll. Quick and friendly service. And the sandwich was really good!

Took order quickly...got it correct. Food was hot, roll was fresh and serving size was generous. Served at the food court at Philly airport .. sceens to keep track of flights and clean tables and chairs made it a favorable place to sit.

Pros: Good location in terminal Line moves pretty quickly Prices are reasonable considering it is airport food Cons: Phili cheese streak was nothing special. They forgot to give me mushrooms so had to go back and get them Fries were super greasy Pro tip: There's a chick fil a in the same food court

"it is what it is"... I think that it was a ok cheesesteak for a dude passing through wanting to eat something while in the middle of a super long layover to another city. Gave me a chance to taste a real Philadelphia cheesesteak, and it's been a while. Was it the best one I've ever had? No,.... but it was ok for airport food so I can't complain. I was the only customer, so it didn't take long at all.

I got excited to see this restaurant in the airport, but as soon as i got the first bite,it was just a disappointment, hope the real owner can come by here and check it out,This is not the philly cheesesteak we know and love, the service is ok,the staff on the register looks like he had a long bad day.good thing chick fill a is next door.

Stopped by Geno's at the Philadelphia airport and tried two cheesesteaks: one with onions and Whiz, and another with onions and American cheese. Both were delicious, with the flavors you'd expect from a classic Philly cheesesteak... savory, melty, and satisfying. The onions were cooked perfectly, and the cheese blended just right with the steak. I've seen reviews that their original location might be better, but I've yet to try the OG spot yet. My only wish is that the portions were a bit bigger, especially for the price. Solid 3/5 for taste and convenience. Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through the airport!

What an exciting addition to PHL!…read more First, I love the aesthetic, all the sitting, outlets for charging and comfortable seats. Great location at Terminal D and easy to walk to after getting off the shuttle. Second, I love fresh food, and it is HARD to find that when traveling in an airport. I am currently exhausted and sleep-deprived, and all I wanted tonight was something fresh that wasn't a salad for once. You don't make friends with salad, and I love greens, but I needed a sandwich FAST. Enter Middle Child who has homemade gluten free bread from a local baker and a VERY knowledgeable staff about gluten allergies. VERY knowledgeable. Even in an airport, with allergies they clean the griddle and change their gloves, and they don't complain about it! EVERYONE understood the assignment, and I felt very safe eating here. Let's talk sandwich. I got the Shopsin Club on GF bread, and when I say I devoured it, that is the classy way of saying I housed that sandwich FAST. I don't even know if I took a breath TBH. The freshness of every bite hits hard. Homemade pickles that have a great crunch and my favorite vinegar bite, a cranberry miso that was lovely without tasting heavy or greasy, HUGE pieces of avocado and a CHUNK of turkey. I have been sitting here for 15 minutes considering getting another one because it was truly that good. It just tasted so fresh and I felt just so light after eating it. I was able to go on my next flight not worrying about food sitting in my tummy or a tummy ache. Even the bread was perfectly crispy and not even a little bit broke off when eating it. The bread holding up to the sandwich was impressive, and that CRUNCH. YES!!! All on such a friendly, kind staff who checked in on me and asked me how I liked the food and made me smile and laugh after a very long day was greatly appreciated, and in an airport where everyone is always on the move, it was nice to stop and have a friendly eating experience. Next time I'm here I will 100% stop by again, and I will rave about them any time I can! I'm sure their other locations are just as great too!

I wanted to find the best cheesesteak possible without detouring too much from my route and without going into Center City. I mapped it out, scoured reviews, and set my heart (and my GPS) to Leo's Steak Shop. It was easy enough to navigate to from the airport and there was plenty of street parking nearby. You could definitely call and order ahead, but I didn't have a long wait since the lunch rush was likely over. They were still busy and I probably waited 15 minutes for my sandwich. I went with a large cheesesteak which was insanely large. This could easily be split between two grown men. Lucky for me, I had leftovers the next day. I also snagged a bag of chips from the giant selection and a soda for the road. There are no tables inside and it was winter so I took it to go. Even though I hadn't eaten all day, I held off until I got to my hotel about 30 minutes away where I proceeded to devour half of this overstuffed cheesy monstrosity of a sandwich in the front seat of my car (had to wait to check in). I was in shaved steak heaven for the rest of the day. Then after a night of drinking with my buddies, I woke up to the second half in the fridge and proceeded to devour round two of this steak bomb which at that point was the only thing I had eaten for the last 24 hours. Next time I fly into PHL, I know exactly where I'm going.

I've tried airport Genos with little culinary impact (although I'd argue the brick and mortar doesn't churn out the best sandwiches either). I saw I'd be walking by Passyunk's on my way to the next gate, so I gave it a try. Order at one of two kiosks and anything you select will be given by the vendor (i.e., do not grab your beverage from the adjacent, self-service store front; they're different companies). The service was quick and easy, which is great for anyone rushing to their next flight. The resulting sandwich, however, was underwhelming. I absolutely agree and confirm what Yelper Alicia B. notes; Passyunk skimps on cheese whether you pay for extra or not. After ten years of regular travel, I know it's not impossible to find flavorful meals in an airport...but they're still rare. Often times it feels as if eateries don't try because they don't have to--you're in an enclosed environment with minimal choices and you often need sustenance. Sadly, I'd lump Passyunk's in that category. If you are interested in filling your belly, it'll do. If you're looking for a great cheesesteak, move on.

America's Pie Tinicum - The Tony Bourdain Sandwich

America's Pie is not just a pizza place, despite its name including "pie" and having some artwork…read morethat would imply that it is. Let me repeat...America's Pie is NOT just a pizza place, and while their pizza is absolutely wonderful, it is in the raw selection and quality of that broad selection that makes this place freaking outstanding. I have had the opportunity to order food from here several times over the last several years and they have one of the most unique "pizza shop" restaurant menus out there and even have a massive selection of tacos that you can pick from. I have had several opportunities to write my review of this spot, but it wasn't until I discovered something very special here that finally drove me to write my full opinion. My most recent visit to America's Pie was one born of laziness. Everyone at home wanted something different and we didn't want to cook, so we were simply looking at places that would be easy that we don't order from that often and landed here. The menu is so large that I was being indecisive and that was when I saw it...all the way at the bottom of the sandwiches section, what I have now identified as one of the top three sandwiches I have ever had in my life, and I've had a lot of sandwiches: the Tony Bourdain. A strange combination of ingredients, all delicious and savory in their own right, brought together to create a bread-borne experience unlike few, if any, that I have ever had before. This seriously is one of, if not, THE BEST sandwiches that I have ever had. It is not what it looks like, or the way it is constructed that makes it so good. What makes it so amazing is the absolutely mastery and command of the knowledge of the ingredients, the quality of those ingredients, and their interaction together on the flavors they will produce when combined within the very high quality seeded roll that it all comes neatly packed within. It is not a pretty, easy to eat and clean sandwich. It gets everywhere, and it is worth it. You SHOULD get this sandwich, for the culinary perfection, but also to honor the late Anthony Bourdain. This is definitely a meal that properly honors the man and his legacy. America's Pie isn't perfect but it is one of the best pizza/sandwich/pasta places in my area of Delco. Hands down. The specialty sandwiches really take it to the next level and that Tony Bourdain shoots them into the stratosphere. You will never have a bad meal here. They are local people making great food, with a local but very friendly attitude, and want you to enjoy everything you order. Explore the menu and check them out. I made a pledge to work my way through the sandwich menu just because that sandwich was so damn good and I am excited about every single one that I check off that list. Can't wait to bump into you there!
