Bret is extremely generous with his services and included many activities for us to choose from once we reached various points in the lake. Bret gave us free range on where we wanted to go and even gave us recommendations himself based on where the water would be better to swim in as we went during a windy day. The experience was super enjoyable, fun, and relaxing. We got to plug in our own music and as my friends decided to cliff jump, Bret gave me a lesson on paddle boarding as it was my first time. Had a blast paddleboarding and swimming and my friends enjoyed climbing rocks to jump off of into the lake. Bret even gave them a mini lesson on diving into the water. Our time slot was planned out very well as we chose two locations to go to and Bret was more than happy to accommodate our requests on where we wanted to spend most of our time. Cannot wait to continue booking boating experiences with Bret and highly recommend this experience to anyone interested or thinking about booking!

He took us around a few of his recommended spot and let me tell you, the views were stunning. The clarity of the water was no joke. We had a chance to dock up for an hour or two where we could spend more time in the water. The pontoon came with a water slide, cooler, and speakers, but Bret also provided us with two paddle boards and a lily pad. He even took out his drone to capture a few pictures and videos to share with us. What made the whole experience great was Bret sharing all his fun facts. He is very knowledgeable about the lake and the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend booking with them if you are interested in going out to the lake.

Worth the detour [Genoa NV]…read more We took a little day trip to visit the historic town of Genoa in Nevada. Genoa is just 25 minutes over Kingsbury Grade from South Lake Tahoe and about an hour south of Reno. We took the Kingsbury Grade on SR 207, a road that offers beautiful panoramas of the Sierra Nevada mountains but was pretty steep with a few sharp curves. It is actually listed in the dangerousroads.org website. The early trail over the pass was more of a footpath than a road. Now imagine those emigrants with their oxen, horses and mules taking this route as they forged ahead to the foot of the trail... When we reached the historic town of Genoa we parked our car and began exploring. It's a small town so easy walk: Flutter & Buzz Cafe - had brunch here Sierra Chef - had gelato here Genoa Bar & Saloon Genoa Courthouse Museum Dancing Deer - purchased a few souvenirs Mormon Station State Historic Park - self guided tour I wasn't expecting much in this charming little pocket-sized town.. I mean, Main Street is only but a few blocks but there was enough history and charm in this little community. Genoa started as a trading post called Mormon Station... founded in 1851 as the first permanent settlement in Nevada. Review #3738

I can't thank hubby enough for this last minute experience before we left Tahoe…read more He's really not a fan of heights and he braved his fear to put a smile on my face (get teary eyed from this!). I had no idea about the gondolas til I saw a flier at our hotel lobby. I only read Google reviews & many complained about the price. We ordered our tickets online & didn't care for the activities. Adult price $84 (and something new is guests can have unlimited rides up/ down) through tour the day!). We grabbed a Gondola ride & $30 lunch voucher $110. Absolutely worth the price. Yes, food is pricey up there, but- I think it's expected. I didn't read anything about bringing your own food. There are tables & chairs near Tamarack Lodge. The $30 voucher worked perfect for me. A cup of Mac & Cheese & a cup of Chili (cornbread included) is $9.74 each. I snagged some oyster crackers & bottled water. Since I grabbed an Angry Orchard can- I came out of pocket $13. It was a way to start July 1st off. We enjoyed the clear summer skies sitting outside. Some of the tables had an umbrella. Jenga is provided on some tables and corn hole is near by. The Observation Deck is highest elevation at 9735 ft & Tamarack Lodge/ final stop is 9150 ft. There are some trails to walk along at both stops and bathrooms are spacious. Gift shop at Observation Deck & Cafe Bleu. If you wanna get a pick of the Heavenly signage- walk immediately to the left when you get off the gondola and walk towards the first set of stairs. You'll see it below with corn hole & some chairs to take in the view. If you bought your tickets online, you do NOT need to fill out the paper waivers at the ticket window. You can also proceed to a separate line designated for online purchases. There is a ticket booth at the top level for activities if you'd like to purchase as well. Opens at 11:30am.

The ride…read moreitself is exciting as you are slowly being carried above the trees to your first stop which is the Observation Deck. It's a quick little stop that lets you walk on the deck to look at a distance at Lake Tahoe and lets you take in the scene. It's definitely beautiful! While you're up there, you can check out the "Heavenly" sign and take some memorable photos. But other than that, there wasn't much else to do. Hopping back onto the gondola takes you to the very top where you can do various activities (hiking, mountain coaster, rock wall climbing, tubing, zip-lining, etc). Of all the activities, I'd say the only one really worth doing is the mountain coaster, which I'd give it a solid 7/10. When the ride starts, it feels like it takes about 5-7 minutes of a slow ascent to reach the top before you really zip through the course. The speed feels great and it's exhilarating! I just wish it was a slightly longer ride and that it didn't take so long to reach the top to begin the true descent. Zip-Lining was a huge let-down, which I give it a solid 2/10. We geared up with equipment that felt like it was 20 lbs, which is about normal in these cases. However, once you have the equipment on, you need to walk over to the ski lift which is about 50 feet away to take you to a higher elevation where the zip-lining starts. Once you depart the ski lift, you are then to walk up a few flights of stairs. After a literal breath-taking trek just to start the activity, I was immediately disappointed when the doors opened and I started my descent down. I've been on a few zip-lines, and this has got to be the slowest zip-line I have ever witnessed. It was not exhilarating or even worth mentioning to our friends. I was very let down due to the fact that we did so much physical prep and the outcome was not worth it. After being let down by the slow zip line, I decided to hop back onto the mountain coaster to fulfill the rush I felt like I was missing. I didn't bother trying out the other activities they offered, as they just did not appeal to me.

You're away from the city, cars, and all the noise, which made it even more enjoyable. It was my boyfriend's and my first time, and we actually found this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did because it was amazing! The staff were friendly, whether we were talking to them in person or over the phone. Making a reservation was also really easy. Our reservation was at 4 PM, and we arrived around 3:30 PM. We were taken out about 20 minutes after arriving. There isn't really good cell service out there, but honestly, that's okay! You're supposed to enjoy what's right in front of you and take in the beautiful views. Wearing a helmet is optional, and I personally chose not to wear one. I got Becky, who was a really slow horse but absolutely beautiful. Throughout the tour, the horses can stop whenever they need to use the restroom while you're riding them. They are very friendly and don't harm you. Before the tour, the guides and workers show you how to turn left, right, stop, and go. Please don't be harsh on the horses. They can get hungry and tired, and after each tour, they are given food. Sometimes, even when you're close to finishing the tour, your horse might start rushing because they know they're almost done. The horses can also stop to scratch themselves on trees, which is what my horse did! Our tour guide was Tula (I'm sorry if I spelled her name wrong), and my boyfriend rode Brown Jack. Throughout the entire tour, our guide made us feel very safe. She asked us questions, talked with us, and really took the time to get to know us. I absolutely loved her! We also made a stop along the way where she took individual pictures of us and group pictures. The views were beautiful, and it was such a special experience. At the end, my boyfriend's horse tried to bite another horse, and an employee hit the horse with a rope. I honestly felt really bad seeing that because I felt sorry for the horse. They also provide stools to make it easier to get on the horses, and the staff helped adjust the seating and foot area so we could be comfortable. By the end, my butt was definitely hurting , but honestly, it was worth it! Overall, this was a lovely experience, and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you want something peaceful, beautiful, and different from the usual activities. 10/10!

I highly recommend this for couples looking for something scenic, different, and memorable to do together. The combination of the horses, the scenery, and the overall atmosphere made this one of the highlights of our trip. I would definitely do it again.

HISTORIC Mormon Station is the site of Nevada's first permanent non-native settlement and replicates the original 1851 Mormon Station trading post that burned down in 1910. It was rebuilt in 1947 as a museum and today it stores many original pioneer era artifacts. It was referred to as a fort but it was never one. There was never any military presence here nor did any battles take place. It was actually a stockade. BUILT AS A TRADING POST We took a self-guided walking tour inside the stockade (the enclosure of walls built with logs placed vertically, side by side). There were informative boards, one sign asked to imagine if you were standing at that very place and what would you expect to see... we would likely see oxen grazing, stable sheds, a haystack or two and a small vegetable garden. The stockade was used as corral for the oxen, horses and mules. COOL ARTIFACTS There were authentic exhibits used during that period. I especially found the semi trucks of the 1800's amusing. There was a real life piece of a freight wagon as one of the exhibits. The wagon displayed is a California rack-bed freight wagon. Mormon Station was worth a visit. I would recommend to include a stop here for a perfect loop around Lake Tahoe. Review #3736
